Great relaxing getaway

We really enjoyed our trip. The screened in porch was used all the time. Had fun with the kayak and enjoyed the resort and what it had to offer.

Family fun!

We had a great time at this property. The location is great and quiet. The house was well appointed and very clean. We had a great time kayaking and swimming in the lake as well as taking advantage of the amenities at the resort. Great vacation!

This was one of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed. Everything was exactly as VRBO said or better. I was so sad to leave and really hope that can stay here again on another vacation!

Perfect spot for family and fun!

We love Lake Lure and love Rumbling Bald Resort. This was our first time getting to actually stay on the resort and this condo was so convenient to all the amenities. Very well stocked kitchen, plenty of linens. Communication with the owner was easy and responsive! Thank you for allowing us to stay, we will definitely book again.

Could have stayed another week.

Great stay for a family. So much to do. The resort is well maintained as is the property. Owner is an excellent communicator. Just what we needed.

Great Place for a Relaxing Vacation!

Our family has a wonderful stay at this lovely house. The kitchen was well furnished. Plenty of bedding and towels. Everything was clean and the multiple porches were wonderful. The kids had a great time jumping from the dock, learning to kayak, and feeding the ducks. The resort area was right around the corner with easy access. Lots of stairs, just FYI.

Almost Perfect

Everything was very good. Joy was very helpful in getting us into the property. The property was a great location and the views from the front and back were picture perfect. The furnishings could use some updating, but we absolutely loved our stay and would look forward to a future stay.

Wonderful Visit

We stayed for 4 nights with our two kids (6 and 16 months)! Everything was clean & we loved the screen porch with the lake view and the dock! The ducks and geese came up a lot and the kids loved that! The pools and the lake area were very nice for swimming! We both commented on how the beds and pillows were so comfortable! We hope to come back next summer! 10/10 Thanks Joy!

Family getaway

Lake front condo, older property with some upgrades. Best feature and most used feature for entire family was the lake front screened in porch. Owner responded right away and the resort amenities were great. Only complaint- one of the bathrooms smells like mildew, most likely from rug on floor or shower curtain.

Great Location at Rumbling Bald

Rumbling Bald is a favorite vacation spot of our family, and this condo is in a great location. It's close enough that our older kids could walk to the amenities with a great view of Bald Mountain Lake and the mountains. The property was clean and well-stocked, and Joy was quick to respond to the very few requests we had. We definitely got the most use out of the screened in back porch, and the canoe and kayak were an added bonus. This property will definitely be added to our list of ones to return to.

Beautiful view!

Our favorite part of this property was the screened in patio out the back with the lake view and the changing colors at the time. Both bedrooms were up quite a few stairs which was OK with us but might be an issue for some. Overall a comfortable property and Joy was easy to work with.

What the doctor ordered!

This place is full of JOY! It’s fully stocked of everything you need to have the most amazing time, indoors and outdoors. The beds were super comfortable! Everything was super clean and easy to use. We enjoyed all the amenities and even encountered a bear. This time with family was exactly what the doctor ordered. We are so thankful to Joy and Mike for sharing their home with us.

A Great Vacation

This is our second time staying in the unit and found it just as well stocked, clean, and comfortable as the first time. The owners are easy to communicate with, but we had no problems to even contact them with during our stay! This location in the resort is perfect when you have teens who can walk to the beach/pool area themselves. We spent very little time in the house as the screened in porch over the lake is a wonderful place to sit and enjoy everything from breakfast coffee to evening wine. Thanks for the hospitality! We can't wait to return.

Nice place, security, lovely view, good price!

Lost husband a few months back and kids and I did not want to be home for New Year’s. Lake Lure, The Legends and the proximity to Asheville and Biltmore were a good distraction. The townhome and it’s owners were accommodating and made it a pleasant get away for us! Thank you Joy and Mike!

Great retreat for my online training

This was a perfect stay. I needed to take a 8 day online training program with Duke. Sitting in the screened in porch in a nice recliner looking at the lake was the perfect spot for the training. My family joined me for the weekend and the resort had many, many things to do. I would highly recommend. Carolyn

Fabulous location!

We were so delighted when we saw this condo. It’s location in the resort is so convenient to everything. Loved that it was walking distance from the marina, recreational facilities and the restaurants. Most of all, we enjoyed sitting out on the porch overlooking the lake. A short walk down the steps and we were afloat! We tried both golf courses and were pleasantly surprised with each of them. All in all, we would highly recommend this condo. The only drawback was that there was only 1 bathroom. The condo itself was top notch! We definitely plan on returning.

Can't beat the location ! Lake on one side and Golf Course on the other.

We had a great time. Joy and Bill were excellent host and gave us all the information we needed about things in the condo and around the area. We enjoyed being able to use the canoe and kayak! The kitchen is very well stocked, almost to the point of not having enough room for food. We did have a problem with dishwasher but that could happen to anyone, anytime. And we did wish there had been a bathroom on the first level but not a big issue for a few days. We had a great time!

Perfect location

The pictures do not do the view of the lake justice. It was so lovely, and the proximity to the lake was amazing. No one would believe the amount of time we spent on the screen porch and out on the lake! Our entire family fell in love. We ended up preferring Bald Mountain Lake over Lake Lure because it was so much more peaceful and quiet. The walk to the resort amenities was very easy and scenic, along a bridge boardwalk. For all of these reasons, the location of this unit absolutely cannot be beat. Joy was very helpful to us and easily reachable. My only complaint was the 10 am checkout, which is difficult with young kids but that was only a minor inconvenience! We can't wait to come back!.

Another wonderful stay in Lake Lure

Our second visit to Lake Lure and this property. You can’t ask for a better house to rest and relax in. Front on the golf course and screened in porch on a lake. Everything and anything you may need is available in the house. Thank you Joy for another wonderful visit!
