The living room has a Smart TV , sound bar. cozy sofa and 2 swivel chairs, plus an electric fireplace for chilly desert nights. The kitchen has been updated with gorgeous granite and stainless appliances and is fully stocked for those who love to cook..the balcony has an electric grill for the grillers in your family. A west facing quiet balcony overlooks the Vistoso Trails Nature Preserve a refuge for birds, deer, javelina, coyote and bobcat..a family of great horned owls lives on the premises as well. The large heated pool with spa is just a short stroll away... close but just far enough away to keep everything quiet.. The clubhouse has a small exercise room and an office if you are so inclined. There are 5 golf courses within 5 miles and 6 miles of walking/ bike paths right out your door in the recently acquired Vistoso Trails Nature Preserve.
A conveniently located private GARAGE can safely store your bikes, golf clubs and your vehicle. Enjoy the hiking and biking trails that surround you everywhere . There is lots to explore in the area or if you would rather...just take a moment to relax... rock on the balcony and listen to the quail...Ahhh . The perfect getaway is waiting for you.

We were welcomed with a loaf of homemade bread and a bottle of wine. Marg was engaged with us but not intrusive. The amenities were clean and in good working order.

Elegant condo with spectacular sunset views.

Well, provisioned, kitchen and entire unit, we had everything we needed and more. The pool and hot tub were excellent, and we loved having the bicycles to ride around the nature preserve. The evening views from the balcony of the sunset were amazing! Enjoyed listening to the birds in the morning sitting with tea and coffee on the deck. Margaret is an excellent host.

Perfect Get-away

This place was perfect. The pictures are very accurate. It was very clean and comfortable. Great location. I always want a view of the mountains and we not only got that but we also watched the sun set on the very nice deck. The owners are wonderful to work with and responded to us quickly. We loved it so much we are planning on going back next year!

Beautiful Condo

Every detail was taken care of in this property. We felt immediately at home upon arrival and able to relax. Gorgeously decorated. Contact with the owner was spot on and every communication was responded to rapidly. Luxurious home. Most everything we needed was provided; more than adequately stocked with essentials for a typical short term rental. Comfortable king size beds, overstocked with towels, bedding, etc. Walk-in shower and closet made us feel as if we were home. Beautifully landscaped complex with a pool and jacuzzi area for sunning. Garage was a plus for storage of bikes and/or auto and very conveniently located close to entrance to condo. A natural preserve located behind the property with walk/bike paths was a sweet surprise. Mountain views. Our stay was more than enjoyable!

Wonderful getaway

This condo is the nicest and most well appointed I have stayed in. Marg the hostess is caring and kind. I highly recommend. I unfortunately had to have an extended stay 4 hours from home due to a family medical emergency and having such a nice clean comfy condo with such a caring host made such a huge difference 💕!

Summer Retreat

Relaxing Post Holiday Getaway

My family stayed at Sweet Dessert Retreat the first week of the new year. We’ve stayed at many VRBOs and have never had such a lovely experience. We arrived hungrier than expected and were thrilled to find fresh bread and muffins. Marg’s place is beautifully decorated and has everything you could possibly need. Even nice robes. The kitchen was more stocked with cookery than my own kitchen so we were able to enjoy many easy meals without going out. The view from the balcony is stunning! Oro Valley is a terrific vacation spot. Lots hiking trails,walking trails, ice cream shops, wineries and restaurants. I could not say enough nice things about our stay❤️

Sweet Desert Retreat Excellence!

We can't say enough about what a wonderful experience this was. Everything from the communications to the great greeting Margaret and Ted provide is done to perfection. We were in the middle of a stressful move and walking into the condo provided us with a great "retreat". There is nothing lacking in amenities in this property.

OUTSTANDING OWNERS and CASITA!!

We have stayed in multiple VRBO’s in the past and quite frankly have enjoyed our stays at all of them. Generally they were very good to excellent. However, none approached the quality and personal service that Marg and Ted provided us from booking inquiries, our need to change dates due medical issues, or a hands on minor repair by Ted. Both of them take personal service to a new level. The casita is extremely comfortable with high end finishes and decorated with thought. Marg stocked the cupboards with any item you might need for cooking a meal. We chose to make French Toast one morning. I forgot about vanilla…but with a little searching…there it was! Upon entering we were gifted with treats to start our stay. The homemade bread was sooo good! We had a relaxing three weeks, enjoying many mornings, afternoons and evenings on the balcony listening to the numerous birds and watching the sunset. The casita is an easy 30 minutes to activities in Tucson and within 15 or so minutes to great hiking areas. All in all, this was a lovely vacation! 5 thumbs way way up! 👍👍👍👍👍

Outstanding

We have stayed at a lot of different condos in the complex over the years. They've all been very nice, but this one is far and away the best. It's well-stocked, immaculate, beautifully furnished, and everything works. Comfortable beds, plenty of storage space, bathrooms and kitchen are clean and fully-equipped. The location is perfect, with a gorgeous sunset view of the mountains from the balcony. Margaret and Ted are great hosts, responding within minutes to our questions. Absolutely wonderful - perfect!

We hit the jackpot! Super clean, living room, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom - perfect! Special touches such as a bottle of wine, home-baked bread, jam, and a special welcome note were wonderful! We liked it so much after the first few hours we called the owners and booked for next year. The owners stopped by during our stay, what a delightful couple - we were like old friends in no time. The Perfect Place & Host

There may not be enough superlatives to describe our stay. Marge is an exceptional host who goes above and way beyond to make her guests feel welcome. The condo was very clean and had so many thoughtful touches. Blankets on the deck (Tucson was cold), multiple ways to make great coffee and bikes in the garage. We had family in Oro Valley so the location was ideal. The deck overlooks the preserve so it feels very private. We use VRBO frequently and have been pleased in the past. We were more than pleased with this condo.

An Oasis in the Desert

Our stay was wonderful. We have stayed in many vacation rentals, and this one was by far the most well appointed and comfortable. It has everything one could possibly need. The owners were very responsive and helpful. We will be staying there again.

Condo à Margaret

Très beau condo, bien décoré et très bien équipé. Nous avons été enchantées tant par le condo que par Margaret. Nous l'avons même invité à venir prendre un verre avec nous. Le condo est dans Oro Valley et est situé dans une zone où on trouve de la tranquilité. Les services sont tout près, il est très bien situé. Nous n'hésiterons pas à recommander ce condo à quiconque . Arrive, Enjoy, Repeat

The casita is so great that we are repeat visitors. Having a student at UofA means we are visiting Tucson several times a year. This is our first choice if it is available, and it should be yours too! Clean, quiet, comfortable, beautiful area, well maintained, nice little extras....it's all here. Marg always checks in to make sure everything is perfect, she really cares about the property and her guests.

A treat and retreat!

Our experience couldn’t have gone better. Sweet Desert Retreat lived up to it’s name in every way and we would definitely return. Oro Valley is easy to get around with plenty to do. The old golf course behind the apartment was a fun and interesting place to walk. Our host was responsive and gracious!!

My husband and I purchased the casita 4 years ago to use as a getaway from the busy city. We would come and spend long weekends enjoying the Arizona sun, stargazing., wildlife, restaurants, and pool. We fell in love with the casita and the area because of the beautiful peaceful surroundings.
When we recently retired and moved here full-time, we kept the casita because it was so special to us. We are now offering it to others who would like to take a breather from a busy life and regroup and refresh.
We are living in Oro Valley within a mile of the casita. We are available should any issue arise during your stay.
Our goal is to make your time here as delightful as it can be.
You will feel welcome here!

Vistoso Resort Casitas is a safe, small and friendly community. The casita balcony looks out over green space with wildlife and gorgeous mountain views. Walking and biking trails abound. Paved and
unpaved roads are plentiful for our cyclist guests.
