Cocoonr offers this flat in the heart of the historic centre. Located in the Rue Saint Georges, which links the Parliament of Brittany to the Palais Saint-Georges. It is following a very beautiful rehabilitation of this building in Pans de Bois, in this typical street of historic Rennes, that you will find on the 4ᵉ floor by staircase, a real Cocoon completely renovated. All the modern facilities and comforts for this two-storey flat with the authentic charm of these beams, timber-framed walls and limed patina shades.

The accommodation comprises
- A lounge area with sofa and TV
- A fully-equipped kitchen with electric kettle, microwave oven, hob, coffee maker, etc.
- A shower room with shower and WC
- A bedroom with 1 double bed

First floor:
- On the mezzanine, a relaxation area and an office

Surprisingly great place.

The apartment looks just like the photos on VRBO, but when we arrived, we were initially afraid that the place was too "authentic" in its architectural style for the city. The walls and floors are very crooked (but well made) and the ceilings and its beams are low, but we got accustomed to it. My husband hit his head several times until he learned to navigate certain points. After a couple days of getting to know its quirks, we grew to love the place. We loved the spaciousness and bright light of the apt. We found the restaurant noise very soothing...just a steady hum of conversation, and even that stopped early so that we could sleep deeply without interruption. The beds and bath towels were high quality, the spaces were all very clean, and the kitchen was well equipped. The 55 steps from street level to the apartment may be impossible for some people, but we luckily used it as our daily glute work-out. Parc du Thabour is a 10 min walk and a joy to visit at any time during the day, including performances, a restaurant, and a beautiful rose garden. The bus line is a 3-min walk from the apt and goes everywhere in the city. We loved this apartment.

Georgia "Excellent séjour dans cet appartement. Comme il donne sur la rue des restaurants j'ai eu un peu peur pour le bruit mais en fait les chambres sont toutes côté cour donc aucun souci de bruit. On y dors très bien. Chaque chambre possède sa salle de bain. Appréciable ! Seul bémol, dans les escaliers les odeurs des restaurants sont constantes. Dans l'appartement c'est bien atténué mais impossible d'ouvrir une fenêtre sans profiter des odeurs. Ce n'est en rien la faute de notre hôte, bien entendu, mais cela mérite d'être souligné pour les gens sensibles à ce détail. Pour le reste tout était très bien."

Auf jeder Ebene ist ein Badezimmer. Es sind jedes Mal vieleTreppenstufen zu steigen. Das Auto kann nicht vor dem Haus zum Ausladen parken. Dafür wohnt man sehr zentral. 🙁 An einigen Stellen war die Wohnung von der Höhe zu niedrig und man konnte sich den Kopf stoßen."

Poutres dans le salon à 1m80 alors que je mesure 1m85. Idem pour la hauteur de la porte d'entrée. Je me suis souvent cogné la tête. Escalier intérieur avec des marches trop hautes et pas assez larges. Est-ce réglementaire ? Chaque montée ou descente était une épreuve . C'est dangereux. Absence d'ascenseur pour 4 étages !"

Il y a tout ce qu’il faut pour y être bien. 2 chambres et 2 sdb 🙁 4eme étage sans ascenseur et non précisé à la réservation. Néanmoins, appartement très agréable et bien équipé sauf ustensiles de cuisson très abîmés mais ils ont été très réactifs pour nous apporter une poêle neuve et une planche à découper. Le lit de la chambre niveau entrée pourrait être changé car le matelas est creux au milieu."

Georgia "Excellent location in a great apartment 🙂 The location of this property is excellent, near many of the main attractions in Rennes. The property has character and the rooms are quiet. There is a reasonable amount of space with a kitchen/lounge. 🙁 The flat is up 8 flights of stairs which would be a problem for anyone with mobility issues. The house is on a relatively busy street, but despite this the bedrooms are quiet. I had a slight problem with my deposit, but this was paid back in the end."
