We came to town for a baseball weekend for Padres games. La Mesa is a quick drive to downtown Petco Park. The property was clean and in a quiet area. A grocery store was nearby in walking distance .Enjoyed our stay.

Lovely, well situated home!

The house is beautifully appointed and feels so welcome and cozy. And to be walking distance to many cafes and conveniences made for a wonderful stay.

Super charming! Come stay here!

We made a last minute booking to stay at this adorable home, and I'm glad we did! The decor is so cute, beds are very comfortable, and the place was stocked with anything you might need. We will be back!

A true blessing

I could not have found a place as close to what i was looking for as this cottage. A stressful remodel less than 10 miles away and what i needed most was to come here to feel safe and at peace. A little home away from home what more could an oldlady ask fir?

Stay in or go out

Great area. Came with family and visited family in San Diego. The cottage was comfortable to hang out in and to come back to after going out. Would definitely recommend.

La Mesa home away from home

This is my fourth or fifth stay here over 2 years. I love this property and location! I don't rent a car when I stay here, because I can walk to coffee, dinner or pickleball. It's 7 min from my daughter at SDSU. The house has a great indoor / outdoor vibe which I enjoy. Thanks Willem and Brittany!

Love this place.

Very roomy and charming. Large private garden area with covered patio and area for dining.outside. Check all the kitchen cabinets, as you find all kinds of neat things. Walk to downtown shops and dining. Quaint residential neighborhood. Easy parking. Would definitely stay again.

A perfect location

We had a wonderful stay at this charming cottage. The upstairs loft was ideal for my office work. The outdoor space is outstanding and the hot tub was an added treat. Finally, the location allowed us to easily explore beautiful La Mesa’s shops and restaurants. We will definitely be back. Peter and Judi Ruscitti

Charming & cozy!

Kitchen had many modern updates and had everything we needed! We enjoyed cooking because of this lovely kitchen. High vaulted ceilings made it feel spacious. Beds were so comfortable. Outdoor area was much appreciated for relaxing and eating. We would definitely come back.

Great stay

We have friends that live in La Mesa and wanted to stay near them. This charming cottage is in an ideal location. You can walk to cute coffee shops and many restaurants and the drive to San Diego is not bad! The backyard is relaxing with the swinging chair and hot tub. It was a little tricky for me to figure out how to get in the house but I am directionally challenged! We had a great stay and hope to be back.

Perfect LaMesa stay

Palm Cottage is perfect in every way. The house lives a lot larger than you would think; the loft is nice and private, the kitchen well designed and functional, and the outdoor spaces fantastic. The kitchen was generously outfitted with quality cooking implements. You can't beat the location for convenience; easy and plentiful parking, too. The linens were lovely and everything was model-home pristine. The hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful. We are looking for any excuse to return!

Beautiful Vintage Home with Great Backyard

Palm Cottage knocks it out of the park if you're looking for a home with 100-year-old charm and a spacious backyard to relax. The house has an updated kitchen and bathroom, and has been thoughtfully furnished inside. Willem and Brittany were very communicative and even helped with a couple specific requests before our arrival. It was a little unclear how the Airstream is figured into the room count. The house itself only has a single shared bathroom and the upstairs loft bedroom does not have a door on it. If you're not planning on using the Airstream, it's better to consider this a 2 bed/1 bath rental, with one of those bedrooms not being private.

Cozy

The house was very charming and cozy, the property was well kept. Hot tub was great after a long day of walking. We didnt sleep in the vintage trailer but ended up sitting in there and relaxing. Ended exploring la Mesa more than expected, love this town. Lots of great places to eat near the house. I was very impressed with the look and feel of the house. Very well decorated. We were able to use the kitchen to cook a nice big meal. The only flaw I have and it's one that isn't the home owners fault, would be the neighbors dog seemed to bark alot while we were enjoying the back yard. But that's a minor complaint. We were very pleased with the property and would go back again. :)

Great stay in La Mesa

We just completed a month long stay at Palm Cottage as we were helping out in La Mesa with our newborn grandson. The cottage was perfect for us as we traveled back and forth from our home each week. First, it is a charming older home that has been updated inside to have all of the conveniences you need. The beds are comfortable, great linens and lots of pillows. The kitchen is really well stocked with everything you will need including all cleaning supplies. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower, great towels and well supplied with soaps, etc. There is a lovely, shaded outdoor area where we had coffee and breakfast each morning and an additional large outdoor dining table which we did not have the opportunity to use. The home is situated one block from the main street where you can find lots of restaurants primarily doing takeout at this this time. We enjoyed smoothies from Swami’s for lunch almost every day (highly recommended). Despite being this close to “downtown” the home is nice and quiet and you will not be bothered by traffic noise. This was really the perfect situation for us and we hope to be coming back soon.

Great location and the PERFECT respite!

My trip to La Mesa was due to a family health emergency and I needed a place that was well situated to Sharp Grossmont hospital and because I was in town under stressful circumstances, I needed a place that could be a quiet sanctuary and respite for me - everything I could possibly need at home and nearby. This charming cottage was exactly what I needed at exactly the right time! I would have extended my stay if it hadn't already been booked. Hosts Brittany and Willem were amazing with their communication during the entire booking and rental process. Instructions were also easy. Although I did not use all the amenities available, I slept SO WELL and was so comfortable! Most importantly, this environment helped me stay strong under trying circumstances. A bonus find was the Millicent and Company Salon nearby. My hairdresser had a family emergency before I had to leave town, so I was thrilled to find a salon. I gave them a try and was extremely happy! Thank you Brittany and Willem for letting me rent your charming cottage! I would like to visit again, next time with my husband and on vacation, not a family emergency. Wishing you many blessings in the New Year!

Loved the Palm Cottage!

We spent our wedding weekend at the Palm Cottage and it was exactly what I wanted for our big day! The Cottage was clean and had everything we needed for the weekend. Brittany & Willem were very quick to respond and accommodating! I love that we’re able to drive by in a couple years and take photos in front of the Palm Cottage to remember our special day!

Cottage was charming, but Vintage Trailer needs attention

This property was very charming. The house and yard were very nice. A few notes of concern, the Hot Tub as dirty when we arrived, after a phone call, it was taken care of a day later. The trailer, I believe, had been cleaned, but the trash was full, dirty diaper..., some lights were burnt out and no hot water...., no soap in bathroom, etc again, loved the house, but for me, who ended up in the trailer, not so great.
