This is an excellent property. Very well maintained. Well-equipped kitchen with modern appliances. The screened in porch was great for sitting and enjoying the fabulous view. The property is located in a quiet neighborhood. it is also convenient to many of the places in Maine we wanted to explore.

Fall stay!

This place was perfect for a weekend or a long trip getaway. The space is perfect for two couples or a small family. The screenes in porch has an excellent view of the river and Wiscasset. The location is perfect for quick or day trips to Bath, Wiscasset, Darmiscota, and Booth Bay Harbor.

Sweet Spot

We had a wonderful time at this lovely cottage. Great location, water views, clean and quiet. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you might need. Perfect for the two of us, as we each had our own bedroom and bath. We didn't want to leave!

Lovely cottage, convenient location!

This is a delightful cottage with a nice screened-in porch where you can enjoy the view of the water, the bridge, and the village. The cottage has all the amenities you need. There is easy access to towns and restaurants, nearby sites, etc. The "Maine Hangout" is a great getaway spot!

Really loved your home. Will be back! Nothing more could we ask for. It is well furnished and then some. Helped us with the hurricane loss of power also. Love this place!

Sweet cottage

Perfect for two couples, as each bedroom had its own bath. The porch was delightful. We did yoga there in the mornings, and watched the sun go down from the rocking chairs in the evening. easy access to the town of Wiscasset and a short drive from other coastal small towns. A winner all around!

Better than expected

The pictures do not show how nice this place is. We have stayed at many places in different states. This is one of our favorite places. The view of the river and Wiscasset village is beautiful. Sunset views from the front porch. The host offer many amenities to make the stay comfortable.

Location, Location, Location

This was our first visit to the Midcoast region of Maine and we weren't disappointed. The cottage enhanced our visit many times over. It had the most wonderful screened in porch with a beautiful view of the river and fabulous sunsets. Just the right size for a family or a couple. Conveniently located to everything in the Midcoast region. You instantly feel cozy and comfortable. So many places to visit and eat. Location couldn't be better.

Loved it enough to rent it a second time

This is a great house for two couples. We four rented it in 2021 and were delighted to be able to rent it again this summer. The cottage was clean, well stocked and beautifully decorated. When we had questions, Gayle was very responsive and helpful. Edgecomb is a great location for seeing the sights in the area. We spent time in Wiscasset, Damariscotta and Boothbay Harbor, and visited the Glidden Point oyster farm. We highly recommend this cottage!

out second time staying here

this is a great place to spend a vacation. The view is awesome and the location could not be better. It is close to everything you would want to do. The home itself is neat , clean and has all the amenities you could ever want. i would recommend this property to anyone that wanted a first class experience. frankly Gayle if you ever sell this home i want first refusal. I am from Maine and i am looking for a full time summer/fall home and i would love to have this.

Wonderful home!

This is a great house! Exceptionally clean, kitchen is organized and nice-very nice decor too!! Area is perfect for getting to Boothbay area! View of the river is great. Walked the bridge to “Reds Eats” and had the best lobster roll to date!Owner was quick to respond to a few simple questions. Would highly recommend this house!

The perfect Maine retreat!

This was our second summer staying at the Maine Hangout and we are so pleased with this spot! It is always immaculately clean, has comfortable beds and plenty of towels. The kitchen is well stocked and we enjoyed cooking blueberry pancakes in the morning and sipping our coffee on the porch. The neighborhood is very quiet and we felt very safe there. The view is perfection and the location couldn’t be more convenient. We especially appreciated the laundry and air conditioning amenities. We hated to leave and can’t wait to go back!

A wonderful place to spend a week in Midcoast Maine

The Maine Hangout was everything it was advertised to be. It was clean, comfortable and well located for exploring Midcoast Maine. The WiFi and AC all worked perfectly, the kitchen was well stocked and the dishes, cutlery and glassware were all anyone would need. One of our favorite things about the Maine Hangout was the screened porch and the chairs. We loved watching the sunset and the lights of Wiscasset on the other side of the river — and without worrying about mosquitoes! We’d definitely stay there again!

Beautiful Property Close to Town

We spent a wonderful long weekend at the Maine Hangout with our kids. Property is in a beautiful neighborhood overlooking the river, close to town. We loved sitting out on the porch with coffee/ wine taking in the view. The kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of extra linens, towels, etc. Owners responded to any questions very promptly. We were the first guests in a while due to COVID, so the house had a fair bit of dust on things. Nothing a good wipe down couldn't fix, and we would absolutely book again.
