Tan pronto como ingrese a Island Sands # 310, ¡BOOM! —Le impactan las vistas espectaculares: la costa de Kihei, Haleakala, las islas vecinas, el hermoso Pacífico azul, los barcos del puerto, los surfistas y los remeros, el amanecer, el atardecer y los cielos estrellados! De diciembre a mediados de abril, las ballenas jorobadas regresan a las islas para tener sus crías en estas aguas cálidas y protegidas, justo en frente del complejo. Prepare las comidas en la cocina completa y cene en la gran terraza para no perderse toda esa acción. La habitación es serena con suelo de baldosas y una cama King, que con el sofá cama en la sala de estar, permite hasta cuatro personas. Hay aire acondicionado, TV por cable de cortesía, Internet de alta velocidad y WIFI gratuito. La lavadora / secadora en la unidad facilita la vida de vacaciones, al igual que el estacionamiento gratuito.

Los jardines del complejo son tranquilos y están impecablemente cuidados, hay una hermosa área de piscina, estación de barbacoa, un área de picnic con mesas y muchas tumbonas.

Un corto paseo al oeste del complejo lo lleva al bullicioso puerto y sus tiendas, restaurantes, el Acuario Maui Ocean Center y un lugar de diversión familiar con minigolf y más. Al este está Sugar Beach; un paseo por su 2. tramo de 5 millas es sereno; perfecto para los amantes de la playa y aquellos que solo quieren alejarse de todo. ¡Llega hasta North Kihei, donde puedes tomar un refrigerio para el regreso!

Tiny lovely place

I took my 15 year old on a hiking trip so we picked this condo to just sleep here. Nice, clean but tons of tiny flies all over but they would die fast and drop on the floor. The bedroom was perfectly located for us since there r no windows so it is like a dungeon and we were going to bed at 6 pm lol. The negative part if the very strange window that has zero sound barrier that goes to the hallway and it was very loud but nothing noise canceling headphones can’t fix. Check in check out and communication was above and beyond convenient fast, like literally can’t be better. Very impressive! We didn’t use the pool or bbq are. Pool tiny tiny. Ocean here u can’t swim in but u can see turtles!! Was awesome!! Most residents here were very nice sweet happy polite. Bed was comfortable, great plus. Kitchen well equipped. I would highly recommend staying here as a base to explore this beautiful island.

Island sands

We had an amazing time! The views were stunning, including continuous whale and sea turtles sightings. Location was great, can't wait to come back!

Hawaiian Getaway

Great location on the bay with an awesome sandy beach within walking distance. If you want to experience more of the island, a car is a MUST. Beneficial to highlight things to do more around the condo. Having the washing machine was a wonderful asset. Thanks for a great stay!

Wonderful Ocean Front Location

The location is this property's main appeal. The building itself is getting a little run down and could use new outside carpets and doors, especially the screen doors. The unit was spotlessly clean and had everything one could need to be self sufficient for the mon/th I was there. Also, there is a lot to be said for waking up to the sun rise and watching it go down from the lanai every day as well as waking and sleeping to the sound of the waves. And I loved the ensuite laundry. Having said that, the unit is a little bland. It could use a coat of paint and some .upgrading, especially the kitchen. There are holes in the lanai screen and the air conditionner could use a good cleaning outside as all the vents are full of dust. Also, the beach towels had holes and frayed hems and the beach chairs were so uncomfortable, I had to rent one. I called Maalaea Rentals for information on turning off the living room ceiling fan and I never heard back from them nor did they let me know how to clean the stove top, another question I had. Having said all that, I would recommend it to someone on a budget but would not stay in that unit again myself.

Comfortable condo with a spectacular view

We stayed for a week long vacation in Ma'alaea and it did not disappoint! The condo was clean, centrally located with free parking and the bed was very comfortable. We were on the deck as much as possible enjoying the view of the ocean, sunrise and sunset and the many turtles swimming in the bay. A short walk down the road was a fairly quiet beach which we took advantage of multiple times. We highly recommend Karin's property and hope to return again for another stay.

Der Blick vom Balkon ist einzigartig. Die Wohnung ist gut ausgestattet, aber die Möbel schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Ein Auto ist auf jeden Fall erforderlich. Der Kontakt mit dem Vermieter verlief reibungslos.

This is an amazing condo with ocean front view! Absolutely beautiful!! I enjoy watching the sea turtles swimming everyday. Close to everything!! The bed was big and comfortable. Only thing was the pull out bed needed to be replace. I'm definitely booking again! Thank you Karin!!!

Convenient location and wonderful view. Needs updating and better pest control.

We like staying in Ma'alaea as it is close to everything. The unit is right on the water and you can hear waves crashing 24/7. The owner replaced the broken dishwasher while we were there. The Fridge needs replacing too. The cold spots ruined a lot of our food. The unit is modestly furnished but would benefit greatly from a deep and thorough cleaning including windows. Rugs were filthy and comforter and shams shabby and need replacing. A nice set of glassware and descent cooking utensils would be a huge improvement too. The worst was the german roaches and ghost ant infestation. I was maniacal about keeping crumbs off the counters but still had to kill pests everyday in kitchen, bathroom and living room. The owner was very nice and always got back to me within 24 hours. The daily price reflects the unit condition. You get what you pay for.

Slice of paradise

As advertised, you can't beat the views from the lanai. You are only a few feet from the waves pounding against the rocks or gently rolling in depending on the time of day. Sea turtles everywhere in the water. The king size bed was very comfortable and the room had everything needed. Washer and dryer was a big plus. The entire complex is a little dated but seemed to be well maintained. This isn't Kaanapali beach but neither is the cost. Centrally located was another plus.

Great location.

The condo is in great location. I love that I can hang out on the balcony and view the ocean and hear the splashing of the waves. The kitchen is complete with things you’ll need if you decide to cook. I recommend Karin’s condo.

Spectacular view

The view is indeed spectacular, which means you are not going to be bored even if you are just chilling indoors. Location is convenient too. The only complaint is that the area is really windy, so windy that our float couldn’t stay in the swimming pool! Lol

The perfect location for a relaxing respite in Maalaea Bay, Maui

We have stayed in Maalaea Bay many times over the past thirty or so years. It is always our go-to spot for amazing views, quick access to either Lahaina or Kihei and always knowing that a quiet condo complex (Island Sands) awaits our return. We have stayed in Karen's condo several times and she is quick to respond if any problems arise during our stay. We last stayed there October 8-17 2017 and plan to return as often as possible.

Its all about the view!!

Yes the view is spectacular!!! A little tv in the bedroom and updated kitchen appliances would make it comparable to other equally priced locations. But again the incredible view makes the rest secondary. We very much recommend this property. Mahalo to the owners.

A little bit of paradise

Very bright and clean unit. The view from the lanai was spectacular. Beach Bum's by the aquarium is a great place for a meal. Thank you Karin for the use of your condo. We will definitely recommend your unit to others.

Awesome View

This condo does have an awesome view. We have stayed in many condos within the area and find this one to be acceptable. We did have a problem with the fan in the bedroom that the owner sent someone to look at and determined that it needed replaced but then decided not to replace it until we left which made if very uncomfortable while sleeping due to lack of air circulation. The A/C is a wall unit located in the living room. It was worth the price!
