Island Sands 609 is a beautifully remodeled 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom 6th-floor condo offering stunning panoramic ocean views, with Haleakala visible in the distance, and a split A/C system in both the living room and bedroom. This property has elevators for easy access. Unit 609 can accommodate up to 4 guests. The master bedroom includes an all-natural king-size Aurora mattress and a full-length mirrored closet. The convenient bathroom, located right down the hall from the living room, comes equipped with a tub/shower combo. There is a queen-size sleeper sofa in the living room for additional guests. The modern living area also features; new furnishings, a large flat-screen TV with cable, and new laminate wood floors throughout to create a bright and open space. The well-stocked kitchen allows you to enjoy ocean views while preparing meals.

Island Sands Resort is an oceanfront resort that offers a pool, BBQ area, and koi pond. This resort is located at Ma'alaea Bay, near many attractions, shops, and restaurants. Walk to Maui Ocean Center (Aquarium), take a sunset sail or whale watching tour from the nearby harbor, play miniature golf and more at Maui Golf & Sports Park, or shop at the Maui Harbor Shops. Ma'alaea is located in central Maui, bringing you closer to many excursions such as Hana or Haleakala. There are no resort or parking fees.

Perfect location to explore the entire island! Loved the ocean views and the short walk to the swimming beach just .2 miles away. Clean and comfortable. Everything you would need for your stay in Maui. We also took advantage of the beach chairs for sunset from the West side and appreciated the little cooler & basic toiletries, laundry soap etc.

THE ABSOLUTE BEST CONDO EVER! We spent the summer on the islands and this was by far the BEST condo! From Lani to Molokai, hands down this condo takes the cake and we will definitely be back!

Lazy decompression

Overall stay was reasonable. We had a carpenter ant issue on day 2 that was acted upon quickly and correctly. The building maintenance, however is useless. The fire door across from the room would not close fully and latch. Consequently, it would open and bang every few minutes in the trade winds. Multiple requests to the mgmt company were acted upon by informing the on site personnel as this type of repair is not within their scope. That and an in person request to the onsite building mgr by yours truly were ognored. Our sleep was interrupted for two nights until I jammed something in the door to prevent it from banging. Otherwise the view, amenities and location on the water, were just what we ordered

Good spot

This spot was cool Because I had an ocean view and if you look down from the balcony there are sea turtles all along the wall eating. You see them on the beach early mor infs sleeping, then around 3 they all come out along the sea wall and munch in whatever is there. The Ac in the bedroom was LOUD but I needed it so.. Location was great for me. Quiet and not a lot of people. I would stay here again.

Hawaii get away

We had a great stay. Bed and hide a bed could use an upgrade. More bugs than we were prepared for by the water. We have stayed on Maui many times, but only twice by the water which I think brings more fellas into the condo. The Condo otherwise was great, a nice pool, close to a nice restaurant and shopping. Very centrally located to a lot of stuff. We would rent again, no doubt.

Ocean front view was spectacular!

We had a wonderful stay in Maalaea! The weather in Maui was perfect, and the ocean front view from the condo was spectacular! From the balcony, we could watch sea turtles swimming in the water below. My Perfect Stays did a great job ensuring that the condo was ready, clean, and stocked for our stay! We will definitely come back and stay here again!

Perfect stay

The weather was beautiful and the view fantastic! The air conditioning was great, but not always needed with the nice breeze. The condo had everything we needed. The pool was the perfect temperature. There was plenty to do and see while respecting the privacy of those who were affected by the fires in Lahaina. If anyone is thinking about coming to Maui, now is a great time!

It was definitely a Perfect Stay

We loved everything about our stay at Island Sands. I brought my mom to Maui for her birthday, and she looked at so many vacation rental listings before finding one that was just right. As soon as we walked in to see the view, she was asking if we could come back next year! The property was well kept, peaceful, and everything we were looking for. Sunrises from the unit were beautiful, and we really enjoyed watching the sea turtles in the water and on the beach below. Thank you for making our trip so enjoyable. We will definitely be coming back!

we could not have had a better time anywhere! the apt was great with all its amenities, the location was great, being centrally located for easy access to both sides of the island and for excursions up country. We put almost 400 miles on our rental car! Thank you so much for all you did. The concierge service was unbelievably spot on with everything they did. rs &ls

The place was great and the location couldn't have been better. However, the biggest issue was the bugs. There were bugs on the floor and the ceiling every day. It was off-putting for sure. My Perfect Stays did the cleaning the moment they were informed of the issue, but it was just not appealing that the bugs were there in the first place. They looked like little flies and little cockroaches. No doors or windows were left open either, so it was very confusing as to how they got into the condo. All in all, the place, location, view and people were amazing. It was just the bugs that weren't appreciated. Maybe a different time of year would mean less bugs.

What a beautiful place to spend a vacation! The whales were amazing. You can watch them right from your private lanai that has a spectacular view of the bay, Mt. Haleakala and the entire beach to Kihei. It is at the top of the Island Sands condominiums which is the tallest building in the area giving unobstructed panoramic views. The split AC works great and is whisper quiet with a little hum in the background. It's not always needed with the consistent breeze that helps to cool the unit. There is a comfortable King size bed in the bedroom, beach chairs and a 65 inch TV. The pool has a new heater and is very well maintained. Haycraft beach park is a short walk and a gateway to one of the longest stretches of beach in Hawaii. The condo's central location make it convenient to anywhere in the Island. You can walk to the aquarium and Ma'alaea harbor for snorkeling and whale watching excursions. Management is available and very helpful. I can't wait to come back!

Very windy location which creates high levels of noise in the bedroom at night.

The property itself was a disappointment. The air conditioner is so loud. You can’t sit on the deck when it’s running. The pool was freezing. The welcome gift advertised on the pitcher. Turns out to be a melted chocolate bar and two little bags of nuts. The property managers were exceptional and dealt with issues rapidly, but it is not a property we would recommend to others.
