La casa tiene una cocina totalmente equipada que le ofrece la opción de cenar en casa o salir y probar la comida en varios restaurantes locales. Christmas stay

We came to get away from normal life for christmas. Location was amazing, the space was so accommodating and we had a great time!

Location Location Location

You cannot beat the location. Literally steps from the beach. Amazing sunrises and sunsets. There was only 3 of us so we had plenty of space. The reason for the 4 stars is because the house is a little dated and could use some TLC. It was chilly at night and you could hear/feel the cold coming in thru the windows. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay here. Everyone we met was super friendly. It was our first time in North Mrytle/South Carolina and we will certainly be back.

Close proximity to the beach, but needs maintenance

The Playpen House had a great proximity to the beach and a great floorplan. The bed linens were clean, but the property itself needed maintenance. The deck had supports missing, the lock on the sliding door was broken (the sliding door was held by a wooden board and not an actual lock), there was rust on the bathroom fixtures, and the living room furniture needed replacing. Our family enjoyed our stay, but we wouldn’t return unless updates were made to the property. The check-in and check-out process was extremely easy.

Where not to stay in North Myrtle Beach

The property is run down and needs a complete overhaul. Has great potential but everything needs either updated or fixed. Cannot open the windows. The sliding glass door does not even have a lock, the screen is broken. The faucet leaks and the shower leaks. Couches are beyond their useful life. The location is what we came for so that was good. Just would pick another home next time.

Amazing views

This property may be a little run down however the proximity of the beach and over all location made this property amazing. The whole place could use a paint job and has a need for better beds however those minor problems can be utterly ignored with the amazing beach. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Great winter stay!!

The view was wonderful for a winter trip! House was good, but could have used a little more cleaning. Suggest removing the rusty bathroom shelves. But overall, a wonderful time and house could not be in a more perfect location!! Thanks!!

Awesome beach front house

It is an awesome house , can’t get any closer to the beach . All four rooms felt like master bedrooms . There are many surf boards and sand toys in the house . We had a great time . Would certainly return !!

Location Location Location

This beach house is On The Beach. It isn’t across the road or a short walk. Perfect size and layout for two families. Two bedrooms connected by a small bathroom on each side of the house. Kitchen and living area in the middle. We couldn’t have been happier with the location and facilities. The kitchen is not what I would call fully stocked considering the only measuring utensils are glass Pyrex cups in two sizes. Not only did we not have measuring cups or spoons but when I requested them from housekeeping, they came right out and left another Pyrex glass. When I called again, they told me to go to the store and by a set if I wanted to make the pancakes that I packed ingredients for. The 1 Star for cleanliness isn’t because they didn’t sweep or clean the bathrooms. This rating is because the walls in the kitchen are covered with filth that looks like it is running down the wall. The base boards and wall under the countertop where the stool are are straight up gross. I used the sweeper to pick up the bit of sand that came in on our feet and noticed these two areas and nearly started scrubbing things down. COVID-19 concerns are not put at ease when there are blatant deficiencies in basic cleaning, let alone sanitization. The dryer worked great as long as you wipe out the puddle of water that accumulates overnight. That was a mystery we didn’t solve. There’s a large picnic table with detached benches that seated 7 of us easily. Maintenance was quick to come out and fix a broken step. We were grateful for that. There were multiple other maintenance items that need to be addressed such as a broken floor brace, exposed nails on the storage door hinge, non functioning lighting in the garage area and one bedroom, and a broken bench leg at the table. The fridge is a little moody-read the directions posted on it. There is a charcoal grill in the garage and an awesome set of Polywood chairs and rockers on the ocean side deck. Couldn’t love the view of the water more. Seriously, if your goal is to walk to the water, play in the waves, walk to the house and eat over and over till bedtime, this is the house for you. Despite the cleanliness and lack of basic provisions like TP, paper towels soap and trash bags, we would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Rough from the start

Arrived on a Sunday. Office was closed and I did not receive an email with the check-in package info prior to arrival. Luckily, another renter was there at the office at the same time and gave me my package with the key. We got to the house and there were no linens and towels. We called the management company and they dropped off a box of sheets and towels and we made our own beds. The management company said this was a communication issue with HomeAway. There were mixed messages on that so don’t know where the ball was dropped. There was no WiFi so we called Monday to report it and it was fixed on Tuesday. We called about trash in the yard, a dirty air filter, burned out light bulbs, and cigarette butts on the back porch area and it was all taken care of. The house was ok with a fantastic beach front location. Loved having coffee on the deck every morning and the convenience of being right on the beach. Like I said it started out rough for us but my long list of issues was taken care of and we had a good vacation. Three stars.

Great setup

The house is the perfect layout. Great access to the beach, great area downstairs to hang out, grill, or just enjoy being out. Would definitely stay here again.
