Awesome place to relax

Kids and adults had a great time swimming, relaxing and taking in the shops and restaurants of westport. Our hosts were excellent. Would go back. Thanks for everything.

Nice location, amenities lacking

It was a great space to chill outside. Privacy can be an issue with such a large property. Swimming in the lake wasn’t easy as docks were under repair and didn’t have easy access. Suzette was a wonderful host. Beautiful area.

Thank you for your review and we had one dock that was open to access the lake which was a 2 min. Walk from the unit and due to the pandemic we were unable to have the other dock ready. Hopefully the closer dock will be up and running once the pandemic is over and on your next visit.

Not what one would expect

The best part of the trip was the boat tour. The lake and area are beautiful. Please match the online listing to signs posted in the suite (e.g. Pool hours only 6am to 9pm). Check-in was confusing and not advised when requesting it in advance. Pool area is not very private with a half-frosted glass partition wall next to the host’s TV/common area. The lakeside suite was not peaceful. The cottage only a few feet away had loud young adults (8+) with no privacy from them staring down at us when outside. There were also construction noises. Inner window condensation prevented enjoying the view from indoors (uncleanable). Deck rot was unsightly and dangerous (causing tripping). No food delivery required multiple daily trips to town, taking up so much time. Host should not bring up religion/another person’s faith or pry about church attendance. A person’s accent/background/genetic features should not be a topic you bring up or other people’s diet choices unless they share this or ask you for advice. Asking what guests are going to do each day is rude. It is impolite to pry. Intrusion and forced long conversations with host. Imposing on guests takes precious time away from limited time off and celebrating a special occasion. Staying for over an hour and talking while guests are outside eating, asking what we were eating/drinking, sharing sad stories/health challenges and crying was not appropriate. Guests should not be used as therapy. It was not a peaceful or enjoyable stay.

Ruhe und Erholung

Es waren sehr geruhsame Tage in einer bezaubernden Landschaft mit direktem Blick auf einen traumschönen See. Man kann vor Ort zum Fischen gehen, wir hatten viel Erfolg und konnten den Fisch abends auf dem Barbecue zubereiten. Super Erfahrung! Wenn etwas fehlt hilft die Vermieterin gerne! Sehr freundlich!

We were in this place for 3 days and it was amazing place for relaxation and there are so many facilities inside and outside of property like sauna,inside pool,.. those were greatif you want to have a nice vacation so this is your place!

Beautiful setting

Very nice host and beautiful setting. Just a few things I would add like thicker bedding more than a thin sheet. Very nice place and good be great with a few extra touches

Quiet stay

Have nothing to say except the board walks and railings need some TLC. The pool was also very cold. It should be at least 5 degrees more.

Thank you Francine for staying with us at Q Estate. It was a pleasure hosting you. The property is getting upgrades with time, it’s a working progress. The pool is set at 80F which is recommended due to the heat from the out doors when you walk into the pool area you may feel it cooler however the pool is set at the recommended comfortable temperature.

Nice getaway

Suzette was a great host, the pool and sauna were fantastic for us and the kids to enjoy in the winter time, great views of Rideau lake from the guest house.

Amazing host and guest suite

Wanted to have a weekend getaway with my friends. Suzette, was extremely welcoming and answered all my questions really fast. The guest suite is nice and spacious and the view from the cottage is unbelievable. Had an amazing time here with my friends and will be for sure coming back in the near future for another trip.

Awesome clean, location for weekend getaway!!

A Very clean, spacious suite. Sue and Lexter were both very hospitable and great hosts. The lake was amazing for swimming and the view of the lake from the room was fabulous. Very close to the Westport village with great icecream. Foley Mountain conservation area is very close by for hikes, small beach. We had a fun girls weekend. Looking forward to going again!!
