Casita Barranca tiene una rica historia. Construido por el físico del Premio Nobel de la Paz y autor ampliamente leído Richard Feynman, se sienta al lado de un acantilado bajo de la playa con vistas al Océano Pacífico. Una escalera privada, desde dos patios íntimos frente al mar, permite el acceso inmediato a una playa de arena y solitaria. Las amplias ventanas orientadas al océano en toda la propiedad significan que nunca se perderá un gran descanso o una puesta de sol.

En Casita Barranca, estás a solo unos pasos de una de las mejores playas de Baja California. Camina por las olas, toma el sol, busca almejas, pesca, construye castillos de arena, nada, practica surf o monta a caballo en la playa aislada y romántica de la casa. Los huéspedes tienen una vista extraordinaria del Océano Pacífico desde esta casa única, oculta a la vista en una comunidad cerrada. Se pueden observar espectaculares amaneceres y puestas de sol desde el interior de la casa, los patios o la playa.

Casita Barranca ha sido recientemente decorada y completamente remodelada. Exquisitos muebles mexicanos y electrodomésticos nuevos, incluido un Smart TV que se puede usar para iniciar sesión en Netflix y sus otras cuentas de medios, se suman a su comodidad.

La casa de tres dormitorios y dos baños tiene capacidad para seis personas cómodamente.

Casita Barranca was just as described and exceeded our expectations! It was such a pleasure to walk out our door, down the steps and onto a mostly private beach! Our dogs were free to run and play. We enjoyed relaxing on the terraces, fires in the firepit and the night skies were amazing! Location was ideal for local wine tasting, dinner options, horseback riding. Daily beach combing was an absolute must! The house provided all the conveniences - hot showers, comfy beds, full kitchen, plenty of common spaces plus we so enjoyed and appreciated the unique and artistic features that adorned the home both inside and out! Many thanks for gracious hosts, Michael & Amelia, who were friendly and helpful from booking to checkout and provided excellent local recommendations. We hope to return again soon to Casita Barranca!

Wonderful stay!

We loved everything about our stay. The home was so cozy and comfortable. The beds were especially comfy! We loved the house itself…all the stonework, windows, and outdoor areas. We fished a lot, took long walks on the beach, cooked all our meals in the well-stocked kitchen, and hung out by the fire. Best part of all, we got to reconnect as a family and enjoy each other outside our busy lives. We did bring our lab who absolutely loves the water. I know he had the best weekend too! Thank you, Casita Barranca. We can’t wait to come back!

Amazing house!

We loved the house! the location was fantastic, much more secluded than i was expecting. Hosts were fantastic at communicating and gave us very detailed and helpful instructions. We would love to stay here again!

The perfect get away!

Amazing View of the ocean

Love this location. Not many people on the beach. The view is priceless and the accommodations were great. Communication was very timely and helpful. Good surf spot out front when the swell is in the right direction.

Beautiful Apartment!

My brother sister and I stayed here for a getaway weekend in Fort Collins, and this place was so lovely! It's a short walking distance from Old Town, and in a super quiet nice neighborhood. Would stay there again :)

Excellent House

This is a very excellent property and the owners are very good and enjoyable. We could not have asked for better. The property's amenities and location are really enjoyable--the beach, the sea, the escarpment with terraces, the home. There is a quiet place for everybody to escape to at once, and cozy front room and kitchen for gathering. The wood stove was very enjoyable. This property does not disappoint.

MOVING MEMORIES… MADE IN MEXICO

We were a group of five friends coming from New York City to say goodbye to one of our mothers who is in hospice in Rosarito. This beautiful and historic home on the beach met us with open arms and healed us everyday. After visits to our mother, we would return to the most beautiful sunsets over the ocean, long walks on the beach under the stars, and the comforts of the house: five-star beds, great kitchen, all steps to the sand. Michael and Amelia are wonderful. I highly recommend their gorgeous property.

Surpassed expectations

This is a perfectly situated home overlooking the beautiful beach and ocean of Playas la Mision. A quick drive away from fabulous food and wine Valle de Guadalupe. Hosts extremely helpful, thoughtful and courteous. we especially enjoyed the firepit beachside.

A magical house

Casita Barranca provided such a magical space for my friend and our little boys’ spring break getaway. We loved cooking in the kitchen and looking down onto the beach being able to see our little guys play and run free. Such a sweet memory for all of us.

Thanksgiving family stay

Quaint , rustic home with spectacular view

We were 2 couples visiting Baja and needed a place for home base to explore Wineries and restaurants. This rustic home is charming, has nice character and a rich history. It is situated high along a cliff wall overlooking the Pacific ocean. The best part of the house is the magnificent water views and beautiful sunsets from every part of the house! No AC but we didn't need it with the ocean breeze flowing in through windows. The expansive beach which we had almost to ourselves is accessible by a stone (and sometimes steep) staircase. Not recommended for young children , disabled or elderly that can't navigate stairs. House is well equipped, comfortable and wifi worked well. Btw, there isn't a dishwasher but we didn't mind doing our own for the few meals we had since we mostly ate out. The owners are lovely and gave great recommendations to restaurants and info for wineries. The house is safely tucked in a gated community of playa la mission and felt very safe and well located to explore Valle de Guadalupe, Ensenada and Rosarito!! Just a note , the house does not have a washer/dryer so longer stays might be more challenging.

I love the history of this house. Richard Feynman was the original owner and his aura is still present. No wonder Mr. Feynman came to this lovely Baja Retreat whenever he could. This unique beach retreat gives me harmony and peace whenever I am here. Richard Feynman’s spirit is still living on.

Complete privacy, dolphins jumping all year long. Whale watching from the house and terrace. Direct private access to the beach. Your own beach terrace with fire pit. Close to Rosarito and Ensenada but still secluded from the hassle of today’s world. Stay at the Beach retreat of World renowned Nobel Prize winner Richard Feynman.
