Charming and convenient

This property was perfect for our family gathering, a first trip together in 2 years. It’s only a few blocks to the shops and beach and very comfortable for our family of 5 adults. We especially enjoyed the backyard garden—cozy, private, lovely plantings. All in all a charming get-away. The owners are very responsive and made our stay easy.

Wonderful cozy cottage

This place was fantastic. It was clean and well stocked with the necessities to make you feel at home. The beds were comfortable and the interior and outdoor living spaces had a great deal of charm. The added plus was being able to walk to town. I plan on coming back in the future. The owners were helpful and friendly prior to check-in. One of the best VRBOs ever !

Comfy Carmel lodgings

Steve and Joann were great to work with - very responsive and helpful. The house and studio are very nice, patio area is lovely. Our family of 6 was very comfortable. Great location - within an easy walk to the commercial area and the beach, and very close to Big Sur, Pt. Lobos, Monterey, Pebble Beach, etc. We loved our time there and would go back in a heartbeat!

Cozy & Warm Cottage

My wife and I stayed at this cottage for over a week and towards the end of our stay we didn't want to leave. The warm and cozy feeling of this home took us back to a simpler time. The backyard was idyllic with plenty of greenery to take in along with the visiting birds that would come by to feast. Great place to put your feet up and stay awhile. Thank you for sharing your home with us. Even with a few resolved mishaps, we would definitely stay here again!

Relaxing and Well-appointed Stay

We stayed for long weekend, my wife and I and our daughter and her partner. The house is very clean, very well cared for and designed. Definitely a higher quality than average rental with wonderful linens, fully stocked kitchen, abundant comfortable furniture, numerous seating areas inside and out to hang out in. We had several meals on the patio, surrounded by nice plantings, tall trees and birdsong, and a heater to keep those who needed it warm. The location is great, we enjoyed walking into town (10 min) and to the beach (20 min). It is close to many other beaches by car, as well as the beautiful Point Lobos Reserve. The combination of all of this was very relaxing. Thanks.

Two weeks in Carmel

Ideal house and situation for our needs. I was involved with a gallery in Carmel and we wanted to do without a car. We had two couples each staying with us for 3 nights - they used the studio and that worked so well. Well equipped house with private garden area.

Beautiful Stay

This is a beautiful and clean home in a beautiful town. It is convenient to get to Big Sur and Monterey. My family and I had everything we needed and enjoyed the California coast.

Awesome cottege

Charming Carmel cottage was perfect for our family. Convenient walk to town with all the shops and restaurants. The only glitch was that we went to use the grill and all of the tanks were empty. We would definitely stay again.

Family visit after vaccination!

This home is charming and cozy. My family is spread out over a few Western and Midwestern states and we enjoy visiting each other, but have been separated by covid precautions for the last year and a half. After we all had been vaccinated and our favorite things to do were reopening, we planned this trip to meet in Carmel by the Sea, for golf, dining and to visit the resting place of my husband's and his sister's mother. This sweet little house allowed us to stay together and enjoy evenings around the fire table on the patio. We were able to walk to dining and wine tastings. Shopping and golf were close by. Thanks for the pleasant stay!

Fabulous location in heart of Carmel

Our group of 4 long time friends had a wonderful 5 night stay in Carmel. The location of this house is just perfect. Walking distance to the beach and many shops and restaurants. The owner is easily accessible. The house was very clean ; the property has a lovely private backyard patio. Such a beautiful area w so much to see; We only wish Nashville wasn’t so far away, we’d love to come back! Thank you for sharing your sweet home w us!

Great house right in carmel

Nice old craftsman style bungalow that was very clean and well stocked. I’d definitely stay again. Steve was a great host.

Great location!

This house was a great match for us. My husband and I needed a place to live/work in Carmel for 3 weeks and this house is great for a long or short term stay. Also a good setup if you need to work remotely while there. Quick walk to downtown- lots of restaurants / shops / markets nearby. We had no issues at all during our stay and the hosts were so kind and very quick to respond to questions. Would stay again!

Charming property

This is a charming, well located home. Both downtown Carmel and the beach are within 5 or 6 blocks. We particularly liked the many lovely spaces on the property where each of us could read or work or dine or play cards or sit by the fire, indoors and outdoors. The artists cottage is it’s own lovely getaway. The back patio is invitingly landscaped. The Instructions for appliances and where to find things are effective though owners seem to be aaccessible. Everything exceeded our expectations! Highly recommend.

Great home in great location

Steve's house is in an amazing location in Carmel-by-the-Sea. It's just a few blocks to Ocean Ave and all the restaurants and amenities there. There's a really nice little park, Forest Hill Park, that is great for kids. Also, the walk down the back streets to Carmel Beach is really cool and is only 10-15 minutes down (20 minutes up). Steve was really responsive to any questions and was helpful in his suggestions. We would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing weekend!

We were there for the long valentine's day weekend, with daily walks to the beach. The location is awesome, close to all the action on Ocean Avenue, but far away to be quiet and peaceful. Walking distance to the beach. Check in instructions were clear and great, very helpful Hosts (quick answer to a couple of clarification questions we had), and overall we enjoyed our stay there. The third bedroom is detached room in the back which my son enjoyed as he was taking school online.
