Escuche el océano desde esta acogedora cabaña de esquina en Carmel. Cuidadosamente escondido, a solo un corto paseo de Carmel Beach y convenientemente ubicado al centro. Su pintoresco revestimiento de tejas y cerca de riel dividido lo invita a esta hermosa casa. Esta casa de tres habitaciones, dos baños y medio ofrece comodidad y un plano de planta que fluye para su disfrute. Tres chimeneas de gas agregan un ambiente ubicado en la sala de estar, comedor y arriba en el dormitorio principal. La cocina de pino nudoso se suma al encanto de la casa, con una estufa de gas Viking. La cocina está abierta al espacioso y confortable comedor que se asoma al patio exterior y jardines a través de puertas francesas. Arriba, encontrará un dormitorio privado en suite principal con ducha y bañera separada y su propia chimenea y terraza, así como un vestidor. Ambas habitaciones de la planta baja tienen camas queen size y con puertas francesas que se abren a una terraza de madera.

Great stay. Check in was seamless as was check out. House was very comfortable and had THREE fireplaces. Jana was very accommodating and handled our every need. And the location couldn’t be better. Could walk to the beach and town. Our stay couldn’t have been better.

Fabulous little Gem

Shadows cottage is a lovely property with good access to the beach and a short walk or drive into Carmel. The bedrooms are great, the main bedroom is very spacious and living area is comfortable. Jana was a great host with good communication.

A Slice of Heaven in Carmel-by-the-Sea

Shadows Cottage is a slice of heaven. The sound of the waves, the invigorating sea breezes, and the location at the Carmel Gate of the Scenic 17-Mile Drive are incomparable. Restaurants and stores are a short walk away, and we met interesting people every day. The house is thoughtfully designed with a modern kitchen and privacy between the bedrooms. Jana is a delightful and responsive host. We have recommended this property to friends and family and will be back soon.

Perfect!!

Jana's house is absolutely perfect in every possible way: Perfect location to the beach and town, Perfectly well-equipped with everything one would need, Perfectly clean inside and out, Perfectly decorated in Carmel charm, and, most importantly, Perfectly managed by Jana who is just a text or phone call away! Once you are here you will not want to leave. We are already thinking about next year and we just returned home! You will not find anything better in Carmel!

An enchanted cottage stay in Carmel

This cozy cottage home was perfect for up to 6 guests. It’s location is perfect- close to the beach and downtown Carmel. The home had everything we needed for our stay. Our host was prompt in all of her responses. Overall, our stay was very positive and memorable.

Amazing Location and Atmosphere

Lovely home just minutes to the ocean and quite spacious. Will have all you need for an amazing retreat to Carmel. Great master suite with ocean view, large tub and fireplace. Multiple balconies to take in founds of waves.

Carmel charm

This beautiful Carmel home was perfect in every way. The location was a short walk to the beach and Ocean Ave. Also, convenient drive to Del Monte and the Crossroads. Jana, the owner, was available to answer any question and couldn’t have been more accommodating. The home was beautiful, comfortable and had everything one would need feel at home. We loved it!!

Shadows Cottage is divine

We had a terrific time at Shadows Cottage. Part of me is a bit reticent to rave too hard about the house. I'll never get in again, right? It is in a quiet, lovely part of Carmel. The beach and a path is super close. The sun sinks low over Pebble, and you can watch golfers on the green, and the ocean beyond. The house is unbelievably well equipped, down to extra paper towels, detergent, etc. The stove, pans, and spices helped us prepare many big family meals. The bed in the master was super. The rooms on the main floor have great proportions, and fit couples or twenty somethings easily. The plantings around the house are great. The fireplaces are easy to use, and helped chase the chill away. It is a new, pristine house inside, and out. We loved it. Thanks again.

Great house, great owner

Shadow's Cottage is a beautiful home on a street corner right near the carmel gate to pebble beach, surrounded by beautifully maintained gardens and trees. Walking distance to the beach, and fireplaces in almost every room, this is a great getaway spot for a family or a few couples heading to events in the area or some R&R in carmel. The homeowner is very communicative, prompt, and accommodating. We've stayed twice and will no doubt stay again in the future.

We had a wonderful month in Carmel staying in this lovely home. The house had everything we needed for our stay. It we clean and comfortable. Also a very quiet area.The Bedroom arrangement made it easy for 2 couple to share, everyone had there own area and space. The Kitchen was fully equipped. The owner was very responsive to our need of "adding the Golf Channel" to the list of choices on the Cable package. An easy walk to town every day and only one block to walk along the path to the beach and Scenic Dr.

Tucked away is this slice of heaven. Access is easy but this wonderful house is near the Carmel beach and a block away from the 17 mile drive gate. Old world charm permeates every room in this house, yet still has all the modern amenities you would expect. The scenic paintings on the walls in rooms help you disappear into a relaxed state. We just loved it!!!!

Very charming and quaint

Best location within blocks of the ocean and an easy walk to ocean ave. Great layout for privacy with Master bedroom separate from other bedrooms. Loved the gas fireplaces!

So Many Pluses!

A cozy, well appointed home with a wonderful location. Carmel Beach and entrance to Pebble Beach a block away and shops, dining in Carmel by the Sea just a few blocks more. Home's maintenance and housekeeping and supplies excellent. Homeowner was readily available for any questions or concerns. Quick to address issues brought to attention.

Spotless, sun drenched, and serene.

Happy Guests!

We rented this home for 8 nights June 2016. It was my husband and two children ages 9 & 12. The home is beautiful, clean, high quality and charming in everyway, beautiful gardens etc! Comfortable temperpedic mattresses in every room, high quality linens in every room. Plenty of towels and household supplies. Fully stocked kitchen with Viking stove and quality cookware and serve ware. There was a grill in the garage, we did not ask to use it-but it may be available to guests. Pantry had spices, coffee, coffee creamers etc. Plenty of dish soaps, bath soaps, garbage bags, cleaning supplies etc. The home was stocked, flashlights, phone chargers, literally anything you could think of needing was there! A great collection of movies for adults and children and nice children's toys for young children. You really only need to bring your own groceries. Jana was so responsive to any questions and even offered us the option of leaving late on the last day vs. rushing out. Fresh flowers and a bottle of wine on the dining table when we arrived. I have stayed in many home away and VBRO homes and have always had a great experience, but this one tops my list thus far! Carmel is breathtaking, plenty to do in the town, nice people, great restaurants and shopping with many high end retailers, beautiful beach with great people on them! We spent time in Big Sur and hiked several state parks! Must have a meal at Nepenthe in Big Sur!!! The views reminded me of my travels to Nice, France. Enjoy!!!

Impeccable, historic charm of Carmel.

This home is beautiful! It's tucked away on a quiet street away from the bustle of town. It is a true retreat. You can see and hear the ocean from the master bedroom. Hardwood floors on main level, plus a spacious kitchen with sitting window where I enjoyed the fabulous flowers growing everywhere on the property. This place feels like a country retreat, and it lives like your own bit of luxury. A definite delight from day one. I look forward to another stay. P.S...I rented a car but never used it. I walked everywhere and I recommend wearing a good pair of trainers because of the hills-- It was fabulous!

Fantastic property in a great location

We had a wonderful stay in Carmel. The property was a well appointed and classy property. Although we only ate in a couple of nights, everything we needed to cook we found in the kitchen. The beds were very comfortable and everyone loved the ever-present sound of the ocean, which was only a two block walk away. We've rented a lot of houses over the years and this was definitely one of the good ones! Carmel itself is a fantastic, quiet and quirky town with lots of galleries and good restaurants (although prices are pretty high, in general). It's a great location for day or half-day trips to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Point Lobos, Big Sur, etc. Jana was a pleasure to deal with - she responded quickly and helpfully and everything was as represented.
