This condo had beautiful views of the Sangre de Christo mountains. It was a lovely base for our adventures in New Mexico. We came home to a comfortable spot to relax and cook. The bathrooms had lots of counter space which you do not find very often.

Room for Improvement

The condo was very cold and we were told that the fireplace is the main source of heat and that we needed to buy firewood. This was not communicated anywhere prior to making our reservation. We were also given the wrong code for the key box and left for a day without a working stove or oven. The exterior didn't have any siding over the insulation board, so the exterior pictures are misleading. The condo was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. It's close to the ski resort and we found a nice place to sled nearby. Overall we enjoyed our stay but there is definitely room for improvement. Communicating with customer service did not result in timely resolution of our issues.

Awesome experience!

Our stay here was a great experience. The condo did not disappoint in the slightest bit. It took a few days to figure out the radiant heating system but it wasn’t a negative at all. Being so close to the resort and lifts was awesome. We parked our vehicle and never moved it all week. The views from the balconies are amazing. I would suggest that the photos in the VRBO listing be updated to reflect the renovations and updates to the kitchen and baths. The master bath was beautiful!! We had a great time and will return in the coming years.

Wouldn’t recommend Vacasa

Not much. The place was clean and welcoming, but we were not informed that this property is under construction. There is no siding on the exterior of the home. Even though the insulation is there, it makes for a cold place. The heat didn’t really start working well until day 3. This is not a ski in/ski out place. It’s a short distance to the lift but there is no way to ski in. We had a partial power outage in the middle of the night because of the construction that left us with no heat or power to the downstairs, and no WiFi or power on the exterior wall upstairs. TV never worked again after that. Super noisy because of the construction during the day for those that didn’t want to ski. Probably not a bad place, but won’t be trusting Vacasa again.

Beautiful view

The accommodations were great. Only problems we encountered were the TV and the construction that started during our 2nd day there. We never got the TV to work and ended up just using YouTube TV and Netflix app. Major exterior renovations started the 2nd day. So it was pretty noisy during the day Luckily we golfed during the day - so we did get some peace and quiet during that time away

The condo is in a good location and overall was great for my family and me. My only complaints were the amount of dust on everything and the fact the wifi would not work with the TV. The fake plants were covered in a thick layer of dust, and the wifi requires you to click a consent button after authenticating, which isn't feasible on the TV. Therefore, the apps like Netflix, Prime, etc. were not usable. Not a huge deal just an annoyance.

We had a great week stay. The view was stellar and it was super clean. (New carpet + vacuum lines!!!) The wifi was strong and suitable for working/zooming. Thank you!

Beautiful Condo

This is a great condo with incredible mountain views from the 3 balconies. There is new carpet, and the two bathrooms and kitchen were recently updated. It is spacious, and close to Angel Fire resort. Upon arrival it was a bit dusty, and there were dirty dishes in the dishwasher. The only negative which dropped the rating from a 4 to a 3 was that the tv/direct tv was not working. Upon reporting it the first night, a maintenance man was sent out on the second day, and worked hard to resolve the problem, but was unsuccessful. No follow up from Vacasa, and we had no tv for the entire 4 nights.

Plenty of room, close to lift

This place was bigger than expected, although could use some updates. The bottom floor is a bedroom w queen bed, bathroom and washer/dryer. Has 2 nice gear areas for storage with hooks and benches. Unfortunately, the refrigerator is very old and does not stay cold, we stored most everything in the freezer (don’t bring ice cream!) The dishwasher and trash compactor are very old. Carpet tacks exposed and loose tiles in kitchen. The water is very hot with great pressure. Really nice balconies with trees and hummingbirds, very quiet area. The location is nearly perfect. Overall it was a good stay.

Needs Maintenance

Let me begin with the positives, very good location and beautiful views. However, the condo appears all original including the appliances. We had a 4 day stay and after grocery shopping on day 1 we noticed that the temperature inside the refrigerator was 55 degrees. Clearly the owners or management company were aware as they had put an outside temperature gauge inside the unit. We called right away and were told there was nothing that could be done during our stay. This unit is run by a property management team and they were very unresponsive to our issue. Having no refrigerator was a big deal as that one reason we stayed in a condo verses a hotel. We had to shop before each meal and could not keep leftovers. The master bedroom carpet was unattached to the tack strip going into the master bath and so we punctured our feet at night when trying to use the restroom. The kitchen has a completely loose floor tile as well. We feel that this unit needs some maintenance in order for guests to be comfortable. A disappointment for us for sure.

Nice location, needs a lot of work

This condo is well located, and well laid out. The views are spectacular. That said, it is very clear that maintenance on this place is either not done, or is shoddy. Paint is peeling off the ceiling, none of the burners on the old electric stove is level, as if somebody just pulled them upwards to clean instead of removing and replacing. The refrigerator/freezer doesn't get cold/freeze (our ice and our ice cream melted all over the freezer and some seafood we brought to prepare had to be tossed - all of this was using the coldest setting possible). The bathroom and kitchen tiles are loose with cracked grout. One of them in the kitchen is a tripping hazard. The bedspreads and seat covers on exterior chairs are torn and leaking fill. The downstairs toilet runs unless you remove the top and hand place the flapper each time you flush. Hopefully those things are remedied soon, and then this becomes a 5 star choice.

We always enjoy staying at ski run condos. This unit was very clean which is number one for us. It does not have views of Wheeler like the other’s in the complex we have stayed at and is not updated. But there are still many windows with beautiful scenery, older but clean and very well stocked. We would stay here again.

Great Place!

Really enjoyed this property! It was clean, had great views and was close to all the action! Loved all the hummingbirds we saw over the weekend! I would definitely recommend this property to others and would love to stay again!

Great Views

Nice views and a very comfortable condo. We wished it had been cleaned better prior to our arrival—spent a half-hour doing it ourselves. No grill, which would have been nice, and two of the three balconies were locked. However, it was quiet and well equipped. The one balcony that was open was great, but would have been even better if it had a screen door—a bird flew in during our stay!
