Great spot for a family ski trip

The family had a great time here. Close to the ski resort. It’s in a quiet area with easy access to the main road.

No water

When we got there, there was absolutely no water working in the home, we finally got a hold of the property manager, and they forgot to turn on the main water supply, and said they would credit us a night stay because they cannot come out till the next day to fix it. And that credit still hasn’t happened and we’re almost a month away.

Great location, board games, comfy bed, but needs some improvements

PROS: Location was great and close by Angel fire resort. There were fun board/card games for people of all ages. They had VHS movies and a VCR to play them on the small TV in one of the upstairs bedrooms along with a Sega Genesis and some games which was fun to show the kids. The beds were comfortable. The fireplace was awesome and kept the house toasty. There were sleds and a great incline for sledding. The deer were beautiful and came right up to the door. CONS: The house had some debris on the floors upon arrival, I even found screws under our bed. The linens need to desperately be retired as they had severe wash and wear from age. We found a dead roach in the half bath downstairs. The cookware could also use an update as its significantly worn and gross. You cant park in the garage. Overall it was a cozy stay, in a beautiful area, they just need to replace some things and work on cleanliness.

Outdated

Very old decor, old kitchenware, videocassette movies. Although had some boardgames. Couldn't get fire to start easily much less stay on and support didn't help much. Had to take trash to dumpster a couple of miles away in trunk of car in snow. Only 1 grocery store in town, no chain restaurants, pizza and burgers only option. We paid $20 for each of our burger/fry combos and local establishment. Then when we had a artic storm alert and we needed to leave a day early to not get stuck for additional week..they wouldn't refund 1 day. * I'd like to note that mgmt co told us to turn off all lights and thermostats even after I told them of freeze..we could've followed their instructions and possibly ruined their heating system but we thought it better to leave on...fyi to owner. I also would've liked to know of some of the items offered in home ẞEFORE I bought stuff at Walmart 2 hrs away ..would've saved me a lot.

Angel Fire Heaven

We loved the place. Easy to find, easy to get in and nice and clean and comfortable inside. We had just had a bad experience with another company and were nervous, but what a great experience here. Two complaints (this is a joke). One day the four big male elks didn’t want to move so we could get in. So we got out and enjoyed watching them. The second complaint, we had to leave. We love the area and found a cabin that we will want to use again in the future.

Cozy, winter vacation

We absolutely LOVED our stay in this home! My husband and I were looking for a getaway for just us to enjoy each other and this was perfect. The house is cozy, and we spent every evening sitting next to the woodstove fire watching movies. We did a day on the mountain and visited the local brewery, and we had dinner one evening at the country club. This house is near everything but also tucked away enough that it feels secluded and absolutely peaceful among the beautiful Enchanted Circle nature. We are already planning our trip back for this summer!

Cozy Cabin in beautiful location

We really enjoyed our time at this property. The location is excellent, and there is sufficient space from the neighbors. The cabin itself is serviceable and functional but not fancy. However, we found all the item necessary for a 6 person family summer trip. The property managers are extremely helpful and responsive, as well.

Great Location. Cozy Home.

We had booked this rental for a full week and had a blast. The property itself is spacious and comfy. There is one cabin approximately 50 yards behind this one but there are none in front of or to the sides so privacy was not an issue. It is literally only a few minutes from the mountain resort. Since the house does not have A/C it could benefit from having ceiling fans in the bedrooms upstairs. The high temperature when we were there was only 76 and the upper rooms were pretty warm at the end of the day. I don't think anyone could have stayed up there without a fan if It was July or August. The downstairs area was comfortable at all times though. The cookware could use updating as they have been heavily used and are old but that did not bother us because we ate out most of the time. There is a regular drip coffee maker and a Keurig coffeemaker available. The drip coffee maker is tiny and could benefit from a bigger unit. This one will only make 2 cups at a time. The TV is a smart TV and you can access Netflix and other streaming apps if you have accounts. The beds were comfy and there were plenty of blankets if needed. Overall this is a nice, comfy, and peaceful place to stay and was definitely worth the price we paid. I would recommend this property to anyone coming to this area

Decent location, nice size, not clean

I feel like our stay at the property would have been great. It's about a 5 minute drive to the base, there's ample space for a family of 4, kitchen was decently stocked, there's a cool hill for sledding in the back yard. It would have been great but the property was borderline filthy when we arrived. Dirt on the floor, mud on the carpet, pest traps left out. The property also needs some TLC. Wood floor transitions missing, torn carpet at doorways, etc. We discussed w/property management and they credited our cleaning fee. I would rather the property just have been cleaned as expected when renting a VRBO.

Great house, close to everything, spacious

This house worked well for our family, allowing room for us to spread out after a day of skiing. Maintenance was very responsive when we had an issue and was able to fix it quickly. The mattresses could be replaced as they were not very comfortable but the overall experience was great.

Great Location

The home is in a great location with quick access to a private lake, grocery store, and outdoor activities. The house itself required my wife and me to spend much of our time cleaning the property in order to feel comfortable in the space. The management company was responsive once we reached out; however, a lot of personal time was spent washing and ensuring the house was clean for our family. Once we got to that point, we were able to relax and watch the deer graze from the front yard, enjoyed observing the stars from the front yard and the heat from the woodburning stove. The house has most of our kitchen needs including a brand new Keurig machine.
