Cozy Cottage perfect for your Muskoka Getaway!! Well Appointed! Sunsets!

MY ROCK
AREA
My Rock is located on Bass Lake which is very centrally situated in Muskoka. Bass Lake is a smaller Muskoka Lake located 2 minutes from the southern shores of Lake Joseph - with its calm waters, this lake is ideal for all watersports! Our location is also known for its outstanding bass and pike fishing, and the small inlets along the coast are ideal for canoeing and kayaking. It is 2 hours from Toronto and just 8 minutes to Bala or Port Carling! The very popular Bass Lake Restaurant is located within a 5-minute walk from the cottage and serves many cottagers passing by from Lake Joseph, Rosseau, and Lake Muskoka.

PROPERTY
MY ROCK is surrounded by mainly flat ground which is great for kids and the elderly. The landscape is beautifully maintained, and the fire pit with Muskoka chairs really contributes the property. There is a flagstone pathway that leads you down to the water. The shallow entry into the water makes it great for young kids, yet the water becomes deep at the end of the dock. The cottage has Western exposure and offers the use of a paddle boat, canoe and 800 sq. ft. of covered front deck. The deck is equipped with lots of extra nice chairs with cushions, dining for 6 and a propane BBQ! Waterfront access is great for young and elderly - There is a stair case with railing leading down to the dock from the lawn. It is gentle entry on both sides of the dock. One side of the dock is solid rock sloping entry, with sandy bottom when the rock ends. The other side of the dock is sandy walk out for a bit then can get mushy. Both sides are great for kids, the rock side can get slippery, my kids used water shoes when they were toddlers, just for the extra grip. You can walk out most of the length of the dock without it getting deep, however off the end of the dock it is deep, over 6’ & there is a ladder. The water is great for fishing, my kids can stay on the dock for hours at any time of day and catch non stop rock bass, sunfish and the occasional large mouth. Gibson actually caught a 4lb largemouth right off the side of the dock last summer! More skilled fishermen (who can cast out further) will have even better luck. There are always a family of ducks who make their rounds looking for seeds (we keep a large container of bird seed on the veranda which is perfect for them).

INTERIOR
MAIN FLOOR
The kitchen island has a granite countertop. The dining room has seating for 8 and two walkouts to the veranda, which has a BBQ and an outdoor eating area as well as plenty of seating for relaxing while looking out onto the lake. The great room off the dining room has a 50" tv with blu-ray player & satellite tv, a sofa, round loveseat, and a recliner. The veranda has wheelchair-accessible ramps and 'gates' which can be pulled across all entrances for safety. The main floor of the cottage including the main floor master and ensuite are all wheelchair accessible however access to the lake, unfortunately, is not accessible by wheelchair. The main floor Primary bedroom has a king bed as well as a tv and DVD player, plenty of closet space, a large dresser and access to the main floor bathroom. The main floor bathroom also has a shower stall and jetted tub. The main floor laundry room has extra storage, washer, and dryer as well as a laundry sink.
UPPER LEVEL
The upper level consists of 3 bedrooms, a bathroom, and an upper deck. The first bedroom has 2 double beds as well as a dresser and a closet for storage, a TV with DVD player and a Nintendo system with built-in games. The second bedroom has 1 double bed as well as a dresser and closet for storage and large windows with a lake view and a TV with a DVD player. The third bedroom which is considered the second master has a king bed, and closet for storage as well as a desk and 2 chairs. This room has larger windows which allow plenty of natural light and a beautiful lake view and has a TV with Satellite. There is access to the outdoor balcony/deck in the upstairs hallway that faces the lake and has seating for 2.
LOWER LEVEL
The lower level/basement has a bar with seating for 3, a living room including a sofa, other seating, large screen TV with DVD player and Satellite. There are 2 single beds and an exercise room consisting of a treadmill, Bowflex weight machine, and an exercise bike.
GUEST BUNKIE
This cozy Guest Bunkie consists of a Queen bed as well as seating in the screened-in porch area overlooking the lake.

Jayne's Signature White Linens & Turnover Cleaning Fee is $840.00 per rental
