Seascape on Perdido Key, Beach FL and Bay Front home! Waterview Hot Tub

Hey Alison, as a family business our reviews are really important to us, and although we love constructive criticism when appropriate - we definitely felt the need to clear the air following your review. As you noted in your review - our excellent property manager was very responsive and worked hard to address the supposed “issues” you had during your stay - not only did we respond immediately to your initial complaint, - the scratched up pan - which we understood and wanted to accommodate - but we did find as an interesting start, given this property has enough sets of pans to cook 4 full on Thanksgiving meals between the 2 kitchen areas However, the next day when you contacted us to complain about hair and blood in the beds- we got a little concerned with you as a guest - your party had been on that property for 2 days at this point and you had visited with our cleaning crews already and our cleaners noted that both you and your guests were on site and had commented they did a fantastic job, and were quite appreciative to them of the timeliness of their return and the property and cleaning was handled to your satisfaction. Because we take these items very serious - we contacted our cleaning supervisor - she noted that neither of your complaints had been logged during her personal final inspection prior to your stay - even knowing this - we chose to pay for the extra cleaning services for you as a bit of hospitality to your group as some of the ladies were quite nice. Funny enough, the feedback our cleaning crews got from the other guests staying with you at the time was that there was no issues with the property at all, they all loved the property, everything was great and the complaint MUST HAVE came from you as they laughed to themselves, so we are guessing this might be a recurring theme. Further both our cleaning supervisor and owners personally went by the property following your stay, and everything was in great shape for future guests We thank you for your stay and would highly recommend finding a different property to visit in the future, as you have worn out your welcome in our lovely home Yours truly, Kyle M.

Hey Chad, thanks for the kind, albeit somewhat inaccurate review, it is unfortunate that you did not take the time to review the contract you signed with us, it explicitly states we use security cameras on premise and their locations - for both property and guests safety we have cameras that face the parking areas, we also had (past tense) cameras that faced the ground entry doors of the property so 78 people didn’t show up to party when we were told it was a small family gathering of 4). The cameras and their locations were and are disclosed on the contract you signed prior to arrival on our property. “ Surveillance Cameras: Property is protected by a video monitoring system in the common areas outside and the entry doors of the property….” Unfortunately the use of monitoring devices is a necessity, bad faith guests, damage, unruly and disrespectful guests who disregard others’ property has become a societal norm that we don’t subscribe to. Hey Charles, I hate to hear that your stay missed its mark on the expectations you had, I’ll address the items you indicated below. As to the trash - it is up to our guests to be courteous and responsible of their rubbish while on our property - and we happily pay for early trash pickup and extended you that same courtesy. It sounded like the guest prior to your stay left a significant amount without taking it out for pickup, it is summertime in Florida so trash bugs show up within hours not “weeks” - and as stated in our check in instructions and our contract, guests are to take trash to the curb every Tuesday evening for a Wednesday morning pickup - but we do apologize for their behavior. We also called ECUA, our trash company, and paid for an early pickup for you, apologies that you were put out moving the full trash cans to the curb as the trash company requires. Toilet paper - first, we have 6 bathrooms and not 4, and we had 6 rolls of toilet paper ready for your use upon your arrival - we know this because after you messaged us that “there was only 1 roll in the house” - we immediately sent our cleaning supervisor to the property - they noted that, in fact, you were incorrect and there was a roll of toilet paper in every single bathroom (and had been since your check in) - as per the contract you signed and our check in instructions - because of the widely varying use by each guest, we provide this starter pack of toilet paper but it’s up to our guests to refill their own staples. Large Front doors - perhaps you misread the sign, but the large front door sign says “please keep door closed thank you” and is in reference to that particular door being an oversized / heavy door on hinges - and being a Gulf of Mexico facing door which opens directly into the living room - because of that and the fact that high winds coming from the gulf can easily tear the door off the hinges if guests leave that door open and the fact that Guests would be responsible for any door damage and any incidental damage to the furniture or decor in the living room - which would all be very costly repairs to make - because of all these factors and for the safety and convenience of our guests, we simply ask that those doors remain shut when not in use. Thankfully there are 4 other access doors to the property so it’s quite easy to use another door if keeping these particular doors closed when not in use would inconvenience you. TVs - user error is the most common issue we see here and you never informed us of a tv not working - had you indicated you were having trouble with a single tv - we would have happily trouble shot that with you - if it had been all of the tvs on the property - we would have happily trouble shot that issue with our cable provider. After inspection, outdoor showers are fully functional and may have just been another case of user error - but because you never indicated that you were facing issues with the outdoor shower - there was no way to help you trouble shoot any problems you might have had - we would have happily scheduled a plumbers / maintenance visit for you if it was needed, although it was not. Front windows typically only leak when they are left open or partially open - which our cleaner noted after y’all’s departure appeared to be the case. You also messaged us confused about not being able to find the kayaks and paddle boards we keep on the property, I am glad that our property manager was able to easily walk you to their exact location on our property and happy to see that those got plenty of use during y’all’s visit.
