This well-appointed lower level 800 ft.² unit at Qualla Cabin is located in a secluded mountain area with awesome long range views (4500ft) centrally located west of the town of Maggie Valley, on the border of the Cherokee Reservation. The entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway is minutes away, for unlimited mountain cruising and hiking in the Great Smoky National Park. Maggie Valley offers Cataloochee Ski Lodge, Wheels Through Time motorcycle museum, snow tubing, a variety of restaurants and pubs, and shopping. Visit the casino in Cherokee, or head to Asheville for the day. Enjoy long-range mountain vistas from the comfort of the full-length, ground-level deck while sipping your favorite beverage. Watch and listen to abundant bird life. It's not uncommon to catch a glimpse of elk or black bears that share the mountain with us. Hummingbirds flit from feeder to feeder, as do Gold finches, Nuthatches, Cardinals, Bluebirds and the Tufted Titmouse . You won't want to miss the spectacular sunsets on display nightly, or watch storms roll in through the valley. There is a lot to do if you choose, but it's also the perfect place to slow down and just breathe!

The property and cabin were great. Deck view is just super. We spent a lot of time just relaxing out on the deck to eat our meals. We've stayed at several cabins over the years. This definitely at the top of the list.

This is the perfect mountain escape for two! Secluded cabin with amazing views and perfect sunsets from your own deck. Tony and Nancy were gracious hosts and they gave us the best advice of sites and restaurants to try in the area. We will definitely go back, highly recommend.

This was the cleanest place we have ever stayed. It was spotless and beautiful! The sunset views are amazing. Back porch sitting and watching the hummingbirds fly around, the chipmunks play and an occasional bear walk by was my favorite part of the day. This is the perfect spot for a romantic getaway or just a place to sit back and relax and get lost in the beauty of nature. There are lots of things to do nearby. The hosts were amazing! They provided everything we needed and shared so many helpful tips about the area! Truly enjoyed this place and the kindness of Capt. Tony and Nancy! Oh, and their precious pups, Marlin and Sophie, were great bear alarms!

Cabin had wonderful mountain views from the outside seating areas, with hummingbirds buzzing around everywhere. It was quite nice. Cabin was very clean and cozy, perfect for a couples retreat. Even had the chance to experience a bear strolling through the porch and front yard. Host were very welcoming and attentive, also supplied us with a lot of information of things to do in the area.

Tony and Nancy are the sweetest people. The property is beautiful and the description is totally on point…awesome Mountain Views. I love hummingbirds, so Tony put out several bird feeders so that I would get to see them. We were getting there after dark, so they left all of the lights on for us. We have rented several cabins in Maggie Valley (our favorite place to go) and this was by far the best one yet. We lost our sweet baby girl (17 year ago old Jack Russell) on Wednesday. They left the sweetest condolence card on the table for us. I had actually tried to cancel our trip because Winny was supposed to go with us, but it didn’t work out to be able to do that, so we went and took our 12 year old granddaughter. God knew that our hearts needed that trip for healing and it worked. We talked about Winny with Tony and that was the first time that neither one of us cried. We had a great time with our other baby girl, so thank you both from the bottom of our hearts.Kim and Michael

This was the most relaxing rental that we have ever enjoyed. Everything was immaculate and the views are absolutely breathtaking. It's a great central location for Maggie Valley, Waynesville and Cherokee. The Blue Ridge Parkway is very close by with even more spectacular views. We loved the beautiful sunsets and all the wildlife. The owners are the nicest people. We enjoyed meeting Capt. Tony and Nancy, plus their sweet pups! The cabin is extremely well stocked and the bed was very comfortable! My favorite thing was watching the chipmunks and the hummingbirds. We stayed 3 nights and that was not long enough. Needless to say, we will be back soon!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The cabin and views are beautiful. The neighborhood is gorgeous and we were close to hiking which led us to choose it. Our hosts were very approachable and attentive and answered all of our questions promptly.

It's one of the best VRBO stays we've ever had. Even more beautiful than the photos, with jaw-dropping mountain views, a cozy atmosphere, and thoughtful touches like fresh flowers.After 20years of renting from owners, we've never arrived to a cleaner or better-prepared property. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the cabin perfectly quiet, the kitchen well-stocked, the Wi-Fi solid and check-in/out effortless. Parking was spacious with easy turnaround, and outdoor areas - including a covered swing - were perfect for relaxing. We felt completely safe and loved watching the wildlife, especially the bears. Everything inside and out were top-of-the-line.The location is unbeatable for exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway, Great Smoky Mountains, local restaurants, breweries and more. Evenings on the porch brought unforgettable sunsets and clouds drifting through the mountains.But the real magic is the owners. Tony and Nancy are two of the kindest, most welcoming hosts you'll ever meet. Tony's bear alerts helped us fulfill a lifelong dream of seeing a wild black bear up close, and their sweet dogs became part of our memories. They offer wonderful interaction if you want it and total privacy if you prefer.This wasn't just a place to stay--it felt like staying with friends. We can't wait to return. Mountain Getaway

Qualla Cabin was a cozy stay central to several Smokey Mountain towns. Each day we were able to drive s somewhere new. We enjoyed hiking, shopping, local festivals and great food.

It was amazing. The weather was great and Tony and Nancy were awesome. It was perfect. You couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. It was extremely clean and the view was awesome. All the bears that we had the chance to see. It was the best vacation that we have had in a good while.

Excellent view!

We loved the view and being able to sit outside on the porch, soaking in God’s beauty while drinking coffee and listening to nature! Tony and Nancy had wonderful recommendations of things to do (and eat!!!). Easy access to the parkway, and can easily get to Cherokee and Waynesville! They were very accommodating and personable! Highly recommend!

Get away

Had a great time. Place was very clean and well stocked. Views were awesome. Spent lots of time on the porch enjoying the mountains. Hosts Capt. Tony and his wife Nancy are very friendly and great hosts.

Great views and location away from the big city!

What a beautiful place to just relax on the porch with a scenic view or explore a great area of The Smokey Mountains. Tony and Nancy are great hosts and make you feel like you are home. Beautiful location and the cabin is clean, cozy, and has everything you need for your stay. We will definitely want to come stay again.

This is a very quiet, friendly "community". We are located at 4,500 ft. elevation where the views are outstanding. Our cabin faces the west, so the sunsets are spectacular! A variety of bird life lends itself to endless birdwatching. Our rental unit is newly constructed downstairs, private apartment that is equipped with all new furnishings and amenities. We've thought of everything to help make your stay comfortable and convenient. With a variety of games, dvd, and books you don't even have to leave the location! Because we are centrally located you'll have easy access to Asheville, Cherokee, Bryson City, and even Pigeon Forge (Dollywood) for day trips.
