This well-appointed lower level 800 ft.² unit at Qualla Cabin is located in a secluded mountain area with awesome long range views (4500ft) centrally located west of the town of Maggie Valley, on the border of the Cherokee Reservation. The entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway is minutes away, for unlimited mountain cruising and hiking in the Great Smoky National Park. Maggie Valley offers Cataloochee Ski Lodge, Wheels Through Time motorcycle museum, snow tubing, a variety of restaurants and pubs, and shopping. Visit the casino in Cherokee, or head to Asheville for the day. Enjoy long-range mountain vistas from the comfort of the full-length, ground-level deck while sipping your favorite beverage. Watch and listen to abundant bird life. It's not uncommon to catch a glimpse of elk or black bears that share the mountain with us. Hummingbirds flit from feeder to feeder, as do Gold finches, Nuthatches, Cardinals, Bluebirds and the Tufted Titmouse . You won't want to miss the spectacular sunsets on display nightly, or watch storms roll in through the valley. There is a lot to do if you choose, but it's also the perfect place to slow down and just breathe!

Cabin had wonderful mountain views from the outside seating areas, with hummingbirds buzzing around everywhere. It was quite nice. Cabin was very clean and cozy, perfect for a couples retreat. Even had the chance to experience a bear strolling through the porch and front yard. Host were very welcoming and attentive, also supplied us with a lot of information of things to do in the area.

This was the most relaxing rental that we have ever enjoyed. Everything was immaculate and the views are absolutely breathtaking. It's a great central location for Maggie Valley, Waynesville and Cherokee. The Blue Ridge Parkway is very close by with even more spectacular views. We loved the beautiful sunsets and all the wildlife. The owners are the nicest people. We enjoyed meeting Capt. Tony and Nancy, plus their sweet pups! The cabin is extremely well stocked and the bed was very comfortable! My favorite thing was watching the chipmunks and the hummingbirds. We stayed 3 nights and that was not long enough. Needless to say, we will be back soon!

It's one of the best VRBO stays we've ever had. Even more beautiful than the photos, with jaw-dropping mountain views, a cozy atmosphere, and thoughtful touches like fresh flowers.After 20years of renting from owners, we've never arrived to a cleaner or better-prepared property. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the cabin perfectly quiet, the kitchen well-stocked, the Wi-Fi solid and check-in/out effortless. Parking was spacious with easy turnaround, and outdoor areas - including a covered swing - were perfect for relaxing. We felt completely safe and loved watching the wildlife, especially the bears. Everything inside and out were top-of-the-line.The location is unbeatable for exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway, Great Smoky Mountains, local restaurants, breweries and more. Evenings on the porch brought unforgettable sunsets and clouds drifting through the mountains.But the real magic is the owners. Tony and Nancy are two of the kindest, most welcoming hosts you'll ever meet. Tony's bear alerts helped us fulfill a lifelong dream of seeing a wild black bear up close, and their sweet dogs became part of our memories. They offer wonderful interaction if you want it and total privacy if you prefer.This wasn't just a place to stay--it felt like staying with friends. We can't wait to return. Thank you, Tony and Nancy, for an unforgettable vacation!

Mountain Getaway

Qualla Cabin was a cozy stay central to several Smokey Mountain towns. Each day we were able to drive s somewhere new. We enjoyed hiking, shopping, local festivals and great food.

Excellent view!

We loved the view and being able to sit outside on the porch, soaking in God’s beauty while drinking coffee and listening to nature! Tony and Nancy had wonderful recommendations of things to do (and eat!!!). Easy access to the parkway, and can easily get to Cherokee and Waynesville! They were very accommodating and personable! Highly recommend!

Best place to stay by far!

This place was the cleanest and nicest place we’ve stayed at. Capt Tony and Nancy are two of the nicest people you’ll meet. The view from the cabin and property was absolutely stunning. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was all we had hoped for and more. We will definitely be back!

Capt. Tony and Nancy are friendly, well-organized, helpful hosts, and great communicators. They put a lot of love and creativity into their cabin. I loved the fall decor and fresh flowers from the garden. Everything was very clean, the bed was super comfortable with high quality pillows and linens. The views from the private covered porch were gorgeous. The quiet, high country environment was just right for my solo retreat. Thank you!

Great views and location away from the big city!

What a beautiful place to just relax on the porch with a scenic view or explore a great area of The Smokey Mountains. Tony and Nancy are great hosts and make you feel like you are home. Beautiful location and the cabin is clean, cozy, and has everything you need for your stay. We will definitely want to come stay again.

Great Stay

Cabin was beautiful and so clean. Views are excellent, dogs lived the back yard. Lots of wildlife, saw Elk, bears, turkey and tons of birds. Very centrally located and the hosts Tony & Nancy were so great! Thanks fir the memories

Captain Tony, property manager, is amazing! Went out of his way to make sure my handicapped husband had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. Would definitely recommend this place to anybody.

If I can mess it up or something can go wrong, it will. But seriously, you have been amazing from the beginning. I so appreciate your understanding, patience, time, and help during our stay. You went above and beyond fir us and it didn't go unnoticed. Your place is beautiful inside and out! We loved it here and I especially enjoyed the view, peacefulness, and solitude, I could get while Dan was sleeping. I really needed it as you know. I will not forget this vacation anytime soon. Heavens window

Our anniversary getaway at Captain Tony and Nancy's beautiful mountain home was everything we could have hoped for and more.Their place was spotless, cozy, and so thoughtfully prepared-it instantly felt like a home away from home. We loved every moment, from peaceful walks along the Oconaluftee River and relaxing time at Lake Junaluska, to exploring the charm of downtown Waynesville with its great food and local shops.It was the perfect mix of nature, comfort, and small-town magic. We're already looking forward to our next trip back to this wonderful state filled with kind-hearted people

This is a very quiet, friendly "community". We are located at 4,500 ft. elevation where the views are outstanding. Our cabin faces the west, so the sunsets are spectacular! A variety of bird life lends itself to endless birdwatching. Our rental unit is newly constructed downstairs, private apartment that is equipped with all new furnishings and amenities. We've thought of everything to help make your stay comfortable and convenient. With a variety of games, dvd, and books you don't even have to leave the location! Because we are centrally located you'll have easy access to Asheville, Cherokee, Bryson City, and even Pigeon Forge (Dollywood) for day trips.
