Wonderful Family Getaway!

We had an amazing time at Gulf Dreams. We are a family of 5 and this location was perfect in that it had plenty of room for everyone! We really enjoyed the nearby sites and activities, in particular the National Naval Aviation Museum and the Wharf. We loved that his location wasn't crowded and that we were close to Publix, and restaurants. We all really enjoyed the pool and beach area. Gulf Dreams was beautifully decorated, had very comfortable beds, and was very relaxing. We will definitely be back!

We enjoyed our stay in Perdido Key. This was our first time staying in this area. While the townhome was nice, we definitely had some issues. The master bed had a broken slat towards the headboard which made our heads sink lower than our feet. The washer would never finish a cycle. I would have to set it on rinse/spin, then drain/spin for it to cycle through and finish a load of clothes. The first load I did in the dryer made the whole upstairs super hot. When we closed the doors to the laundry area, the doors got all wet. After checking, my husband realized that the dryer vent wasn’t even hooked up. The upstairs bathroom for tbe 2 extra bedrooms had super low water pressure. The fridge downstairs was way past due for a water filter. On the 3rd day of our trip, a maintenance guy showed up to work on the fridge. We had no idea he was coming. He was fast and efficient but wasn’t there to work on any of the issues I mentioned above. I will say that I did not call the rental company to report any of these issues. We did not want to deal with it while we were there trying to enjoy our vacation. But it certainly seemed like a good bit of these issues should’ve been noticed by the cleaning company or rental company prior to check-in. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

Home away from Home

We basically quarantined in this house for 2 weeks and found it had everything we needed for two kids to do virtual school and two adults to maintain full-time virtual work. We had brought our own card tables for additional desk space, but we were pleased each of us could find our own space for maximum focus. The open-air beach club was also a great option for getting a change of scenary in a COVID-safe way. THANKS!

One week stay

Upon our arrival we had to stop by Southern Rentals for the condo keys, they had emailed the lock box code prior to our arrival. The lock box code was inaccurate as we stood in the pouring rain for 25 minutes until Southern Rental answered the phone with the accurate code. Once we retrieved the keys, we headed to the condo, it was very neat and comfortable. The shuttle bus is not operating due to Covid-19 so we took our vehicle to the beach every time. The description in the listing is misleading, we thought we would be able to park at the beach resort villa on the beach side, however it is for employee parking only. You have to park in a small parking lot across the street from the beach, there is very minimal parking with large potholes. We were told we would get four beach chairs and two umbrellas with the rental, however they ran out of umbrellas so we had to leave to go purchase some. There was no information given to us about no coolers allowed on the beach, with a baby and a toddler who needed water, milk, and juice this was very inconvenient. We enjoyed the resort style pool which was very large. The resort hot tub was broken. The condo did have a corn hole game, a few beach toys, and a couple beach chairs in the garage. The kitchen had everything we needed. The large walk-in master shower was wonderful.

Great Townhome.

We had 2 families staying here. The set up was great for that. It was close to all the places we wanted to go. Spent time at Fort Pickens. The lost key private beach is small. We did not spend time here wanted to be farther away from people. Overall loved the house, very clean. If we had any issues we texted and someone was there within 24 hours to fix it. Will be coming back next summer. Thanks, Rebecca P...

Beach trip 2020

The townhouse was beautifully decorated but getting checked was complicated! We were surprised to find after several conversations to get our information that we still had to drive to the Southern real estate office to pick up our packet. The code didn’t work for the lockbox and fortunately a gentleman came out and put a code in for us. Upon arrival at the condo we had to call again and finally the third door code worked. The beach house is too far to walk to and parking is extremely limited. Lounge chairs are not assigned yet it was advertised that we had four. The chairs are very close in a small beach area. We went to a spacious Alabama public beach access near Caribe which was much better where could use our own chairs and umbrellas. Checkout day required that we return the packet to Southern real estate office where we could not get the packet into then small slotted box. No one was there at the office. We finally were able to squeeze the packet in. It’s much more convenient when the necessary Packet items are available inside the condo.
