Just down the lane from the beautiful South shore of Kelleys Island, you are just a short walk to the water and 1 mile to downtown. Sip your coffee on the deck, take a nap on the screened in porch, and roast marshmallows over a fire pit. The Summer Wind Lake House is the perfect place for your family to "live like a local" on beautiful Kelleys Island.

Charming home in a storybook setting

What an awesome stay we had at Summer Wind Lake House! The house has a cozy feel and plenty of space to stretch out and relax. It also has great amenities to make your stay comfortable. The outdoor setting is perfect whether you want to grill out, eat a meal on the deck, read a book in an Adirondack chair or the hammock, play catch, or have a campfire. The screened in porch extends your ability to enjoy the night without the mosquito bites! The location was a short bike ride to downtown or to the sunset! We can't wait to head back next year!

Wonderful place on Kelleys Island

So pleased with this rental home. Just perfect for a nice get away to Kelleys! Super clean and modern. Very quiet and peaceful. Jessica was so nice to communicate with. Very helpful and kept in touch with me throughout. Answered any questions we had. Would highly recommend. Thanks again Jessica!!

Weekend getaway

Every aspect of the process of renting, communication with Owner and the condition of the property was great. While we would have loved the weather to have been more ideal, this property gave us a place to come home to, getting us out of the elements. Really enjoyed our stay!

Perfect place to stay

Our first time at Kelly’s island was a wonderful trip. Jesse was great to work with. We loved the cute cottage and fit perfectly for us 5 girls celebrating a 60th bday party!

Charming and quiet retreat

This is a lovely home on Kelly’s island. It’s slightly tucked away which makes for a quiet little escape to relax and read a good book in the outdoor space!

Relaxing Get-away

Summer Wind Cottage is located at the end of a quiet lane on KI. We enjoyed the westside location which is a little less compact with home than the eastside that faces the main land. A short walk down to the water to watch beautiful sunsets is a must. The deck and sunroom were a bonus to enjoy dinner and breakfast outside.

Kelleys Island

We took this trip as a family and the house was perfect for that. We each had our own sleeping area and enjoyed being able to also gather in different parts of the home as a family. The house is tucked away off the main street and makes you feel like you are secluded in the woods. We enjoyed that part of it too. The house has primarily everything you need and has a lot of activities. When taking the golf cart, you are only a few short minutes away from the "town".

A short visit to Kelley Island

Made a short trip to Kelly Island to go fishing with my dad and brother. We had a great time and the house was clean and communication with the owner was fantastic.

Kelley’s island house

Nice house in a quiet area, not much of a view, but pleasant non the less. Low key island, no fancy restaurants, but you can get very good fried yellow perch.

Nice place, but the mattresses on lower bunk beds very thin.

We enjoyed our stay till bedtime. We were going to bring blow ups mattresses, but after packing our towels and sheets, our car was full. We were also asked to put 2 loads of laundry in wash, but since we brought the sheets and towels, we didn't. Price kinda high for those 2 inconveniences. Otherwise lovely place.

Birthday Getaway

We had a nice time at this VRBO. Loved the four seasons room and front porch. We had some issues with the kitchen sink but the owner knows of issue and will fix. Bunk bed mattresses were a little thin for adults but I’m sure kids wouldn’t have an issue. Overall the house was clean and a good size for our group of 7.

Family fun

It was a wonderful Island house, spacious, very clean with plenty of space including a screened in porch. There was lots of room for everyone, with a great king bed, queen bed, bunk beds and couch’s.. we usually walked or rode bikes into town, so the location was perfect. Overall an absolutely wonderful vacation spot.

Weekend at Summer Wind Lakehouse

Beautiful open airy space. More room than we needed. Loved the screened in porch. Great location. Wish there'd been some non-teflon cookware. Water pressure varied, but we got used to it. Need more light in the kitchen. Thanks for a relaxing stay on KI.

I've spent my summers vacationing on Kelleys since I was a child and love being able to pass on this tradition to my own kids. I've made lifelong friends and plenty of memories up here. I'm excited to share my little piece of heaven with other families!

Meticulously maintained, very clean, and beautifully designed, this home makes you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive. The open floor plan keeps things bright and airy, while the bedroom setup makes this house an easy one for two families to share and still maintain privacy. The screened in porch and large deck with lake peek-a-boo views is the best place to be! Plus, the big shaded lot on a dead-end lane makes it super safe place for kids to ride their bikes or play outside.
