The house sits in a nice neighborhood, quiet and well maintained. The room was well appointed with little things that we appreciated the host thinking of that we didn’t, like beach towels and sunscreen! The location is a bit misleading as it is within walking distance to the water but only to a view of the water. To get to the pier, beach, 3rd street, etc seems like it would be a reasonable walk but after two days it’s evident that it’s just outside of an enjoyable walk. The yard is nice and well maintained however there is no place to sit and enjoy the fresh air without being in front of the home owners (gorgeous, oversized) open windows, which made it awkward. We also had contractors right outside our open windows one morning which was uncomfortable being that the window coverings are minimal. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

We had very conflicting feelings about this stay. We loved the location and neighborhood, we were able to walk into Santa Monica as well as over to the businesses on Montana. The hosts left us a small bottle of wine which was sweet. However, there were many ways this stay did not align with our expectations. To start, the photos do not match the room. While it’s similar, it’s a completely different suite. Additionally, I would not call this a “luxury” suite. It is very outdated, specifically the bathroom. The room really needs better air flow/ventilation. There is a very small tabletop fan for the entire room. I didn’t love the leaving the windows open for security reasons, but without doing so, the heat was stifling and the smell of mildew was overwhelming. Given the option, we would not stay here again.

The space was great. A short walk to beautiful Palisades Park View and just a little further to the 3rd Street Promenade and Pier. Bed was very comfortable. The only thing I would improve is the ability for people to add their own apps (Like YouTube TV) to the television. The setting was beautiful and the outside space was very nice. Overall our stay was great and our hosts were very accommodating.

As a Los Angeles local this area of Santa Monica is very nice. Quiet. No traffic …Restaurants are a 20 min walk to the city center but a very good choice for a nice place to stay.

A beautiful home and landscaping, in an upscale area with a short walk to a beach view and access. I was there by myself and felt very safe in the area. It was also close to shopping. The disappointing part was the room. My idea of luxurious is not this room. It’s decorated like a tea room. It’s pretty but not luxurious. The bathroom is out of the 40s. Nothing has been updated. Low counter and toilet. Tub with a shower curtain. The lighting is terrible. Ripped curtains in the bathroom that you couldn’t close. All the windows had curtains that need to be updated. Very sheer and hard to close. No air conditioning so I had to have the windows open which I wasn’t comfortable with being by myself. I was there to see my children and my new grandchild. Thank goodness I spent 90% of my time at their home. There was no living space other than the bed. The room needs a desk and a small sofa. There were two wicker chairs and a table, but the table wasn’t really functional. It was a set up with wine glasses, wine bottle cooler, wine bottle opener, but no bottle of wine.The room is overpriced for what you get. The area is luxurious, not this room.

This property is even better than advertised and prettier than the photos. The location is perfect and the space is beautifully decorated, quiet, and private. The bed is comfortable and the host has thought of every detail from coffee, to filtered water, extra blankets and luxurious body wash, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. It's truly a perfect little hideaway. I can't wait to come back again.

The room was clean and spacious, but no air conditioning made for two long sleepless nights. When I arrived, all of the windows were open. I understand why they were open, to catch a breeze, but I do not feel secure at night with windows open, so I had to close them. This made the room even hotter. Only a small plug-in fan was available.

Cozy, convenient, solid

For me, I am most focused on sleep quality. Location is quiet in the evening for sleeping. Bed is comfortable with lots of nice bedding if you like that. I wish there was a shade option to block some of the sun (just white cloth shades) so remember to bring your eye mask. I’d also like an additional fan to pull in the nice ocean air. The room overall was very cozy and as described. It was very clean and was in a good location near the beach and around the corner from Montana where you can get coffee and meals. Overall good experience

Beach Getaway

This was a beautiful stay! Great location, and great for solo traveler girlies. You’ll feel safe and it’s very walkable. 10/10 recommend and would be back for sure. I ran into the owner at some point and they were super welcoming and sweet.

Great Stay for Family – Convenient and Comfortable

I booked this place for my family as it was close to my home, and it turned out to be a perfect choice. The space was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. The location was super convenient, and the host was very helpful and responsive. My family had a comfortable stay – would definitely recommend!

We enjoyed our stay in Santa Monica. The room was very nice. Good water pressure and hot water. The bed was very comfortable and neighborhood was great, quiet at night and during the day. The. distance to shops, restaurants and ocean Promenade was very close.

Santa Monica Charm

This perfect room for 2 guests is located in a beautiful home and neighborhood just a couple blocks from the beach and 1 block off Montana Ave. with its greats shops and restaurants. Access is easy and the privacy and quiet are amazing. The room is lovely and comfortable. You’ll be lucky to stay here!
