This updated nicely decorated condo has had recent upgrades and is just a short stroll to the beach via the private boardwalk. This is a first-floor unit that is spacious and well equipped for all your needs while on vacation including a washer and dryer. Large flat-screen TVs in the living area with Queen size sofa sleeper. Bedroom 1 has a King Bed, Bedroom 2 has a Queen Bed, and Bedroom 3 has a twin over full bunk with a twin trundle underneath. Great views from the outside private sitting area of the common area, one of the pools and all the other nice amenities offered by Island Retreat. You will love your decision to stay here. The beach is awesome for playing with the kids, enjoying the scenery, feeding the seagulls, a morning jog, reading a book, building sandcastles, or watching a beautiful sunset! If you don't feel like getting sandy at the beach, then relax by one of the two onsite pools. For dinner, utilize the fully stocked kitchen, one of the many outdoor grills, or indulge at one of the local restaurants.

The property its walking distance to the beach using the boardwalk. The pool area is great and they have picnic tablets and grills.

Great place to stay!

Great place to stay and easy walk to the beach. Everything is great about the property. If I had to find negatives I would say ceiling fans need dusting, under the furniture needs dusting, and the rug had a few grass burrs in it. Didn’t stop our great vacation!

Excellent location

You really couldn't have a better location or an easier walk to the beach. I felt very safe with my children being able to walk directly there and not have to walk on the street. The pool was great and the condo was comfortable. My only requests to the owners would be: blackout curtains. It gets really bright, really early. We are rejuvenating! We need sleep too😁

Quick fun getaway

Served us very well for a quick little beach vacation for Mothers Day. Renovated on the inside and super close 4-5 minute walk to the beach. In the heart of everything, perfect location. The pool was refreshing after a day at the beach as well. The only thing that we would personally like to see was a bit cleaner, but we are super big clean freaks so maybe that was just us? Overall fantastic time in a great value condo, thanks again for allowing us to stay.

Family Vacation

Everything was really nice. Equipped with everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. Plenty of room for 6 adults and 3 little ones. Excellent location to the pool, walk to the beach was easy but all of the stuff we had to carry it was easier for us to drive. We parked as close to the board walk as we could so we could go to the condo if we needed to while we were out .

I missed a dining table and more chairs. My grandson inadvertently packed the bin from the patio with sand toys. I don't know how to return it. Is there any chance the owner lives in San Antonio?

Great 1st floor condo!

This condo had everything including 2 batteries in case the smoke detectors went out! There was a full kitchen and it was newly renovated! We loved how close it was to everything too!

Just what we needed

Great updates.

The location near downtown and the ability to walk directly to the beach along with a pool outside the back door were all perfect. In addition, the recent remodel of the condo was done well and was just the right feel for a beach location.

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE, DEFINITELY WORTH IT!

This is the second time we've leased this unit and it was just a great as the first time! The property managers are super helpful and the property was nice, clean and had everything we needed! This trip was for our family as well as three other families and we all had a blast, strongly recommend!

Disappointing

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Good location and great condo but wasn't clean and the office staff were horrible from when we arrived to when we left. Couldn't find our reservation, argued with me and said it was "normal" for there to be blood spots, and hair in the sheets. I had to wash them myself. We found shoes, dirty towels, around the condo. The office did not even apologize or agree to compensate.

Easy peasy

A little farther down the beach so not as crowded. Convenient boardwalk. Very clean, exactly as shown online, plenty of small kitchen appliances, pots, dishes, paper goods, towels, and toiletries. Comfortable and homey. The check in/out process was super easy and contactless. Property folks communicated in detail throughout and on-site managers were friendly. In this time of covid, our family felt confident.

Wonderful Time, easy to work with!

We were so disappointed when Hurricane Hannah was set to hit Port A the Sunday we were due to check in. The property owners worked with us to get rebooked for the next week! Location was prime for pool access! We would spend the morning/early afternoon at the beach and then stop back by the pool. One adult would get lunch/dinner started while the other would hang with the kids at the pool. We normally spend our Summers at Gulf Shores but loved this Port A spot!
