This first-floor studio is ready to accommodate 4 people just across from the pool and recreation areas. This is a great affordable option to stay on the Gulf and enjoy the beach and water just over the walkways which cross the rolling dunes. The kitchen has a stove, microwave, coffee maker, dishes, pots, pans and utensils needed for basic meal preparation(*No dishwasher*). It's updated with granite counters and fresh white cabinets. For your convenience, the cabinets are open so you don't have to search for anything, it's all within reach. The dining area has a round table with four chairs available. Enjoy playing cards or your favorite board game next to the large bay window, or a leisurely meal together. Nearby, an overstuffed love seat and coffee table await you. From there you can watch the flat-screen TV or lounge with the comfy pillows. Wicker furniture brings the beach vibe inside and fresh gray floor tiles keep the room fresh no matter the weather. Sleep well after a day enjoying the surf and sun in either the full/queen-sized beds with calming seashell bedspreads. You can also watch TV in bed. The full bathroom separates the sink from the stool and shower, so two people can get ready at once. Extra counter space by the bathroom sink keeps your things conveniently within reach. The space is bright and fresh with granite counters and chrome fixtures. Located near downtown Port Aransas, you have easy access to the golf course, shopping, restaurants and entertainment. *Golf carts will have to be parked in the overflow parking area no exceptions* / Parking Passes for 1 Vehicle Only

Overall it was a good experience

The beds need replacement, mattress was a bid worn. The closet was locked so you could not hang up clothes. A dirty wash rag was left in the shower from previous renter.

I liked the location to the beach. The condo needed a good cleaning under furniture and some minor repairs (lamp was broken, burned out light bulb in bathroom, need more outlets, need a bar to hang clothes on). All appliances worked and AC worked well.

Apartment close to the beach!

The office personel "rode with us" (my daughter and I) for the 8 hr trip, via texts, with instructions and help for us on the way down! The apartment was clean, cool and had several items we did not expect, pots, pans, coffee maker, toaster and loads of towels etc. There was even bottles (not tiny sachets) of shampoo/conditioner, washing up liquid, hand soap and lotion. We will know not to bring our own next time lol! The only thing I would give 3/5 stars is the beds, but they became more comfy as the days went on! We plan on coming back, thank you for a relaxing pleasant few days! Trish and Becky

Good times

We enjoyed our stay. Our room was pleasant, nice and cozy. Short walk to the beach on a nice well taken care of deck/walkway. We did not have hot water one of the mornings we were there. Maybe our room didn’t have a dedicated water heater. Either way, overall we had a great time and will definitely stay there again.

Clean and quiet

The property was quiet and relatively clean. Had on-site security. Room was smaller than expected, but suited our needs for the short stay. The beach is a little walk to the back of the condos and over a boardwalk to the beach road.

Best weekend get away in 4 yrs!

Everything was clean and tidy! The beds are comfy 😴 The property is very clean and the pool was fantastic! Very close to the shore and management was super friendly & helpful! I highly recommend staying here!

Perfect Weekend Getaway

Perfect for a quick weekend getaway, condo had everything we needed. Courtyard area was perfect for an evening bbq, swim, and stroll on the boardwalk, loved it!

We love Island Retreat 11!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our third visit to Island Retreat. Room 11 is nicely renovated and with lots of natural light. Kitchen has all you need to cook meals in. Our priorities are being able to stay a short walking distance from the beach at an affordable price --and this is exactly what Island Retreat provides.My Jeep broke down so I had a stay a few extra nights (over a weekend) while my vehicle was being repaired. Island Retreat gave me a nice discount on the third extra night when I explained my situation. I really appreciated that!
