Casa moderna independiente recientemente decorada y reformada con un estándar de lujo. Totalmente equipada con todas las comodidades modernas, la casa tiene una decoración contemporánea recién instalada y está impecable en todas partes. Hemos equipado la terraza exterior con muebles de patio nuevos y una barbacoa Webber de calidad para la comodidad de los huéspedes. Esta es una casa de campo con todo lo que pueda necesitar y a tiro de piedra de la playa inmaculada de Sea Palling. La casa es muy espaciosa y ofrece un alojamiento lujoso y bien equipado para hasta 6 personas.

Near perfect holiday

We had a great week at Dormouse Cottage. The weather was perfect and the cottage’s location to the sandy blue flag beach is amazing, meaning that you could easily nip down to the beach around anything else you planned for the day. There are a few shops and cafes as well as clean toilets just before entering the beach. The beach is manned by lifeguards. The cottage is immaculate, light and airy, modern and well furnished; and the location quiet The two upstairs bedrooms have large, double beds comfortable with beautiful linen. There is a twin downstairs too equally as well presented. There are tvs in both main bedrooms as well as one in the lounge. Plenty of books, dvds and toys available The cottage is very well equipped and the generous welcome package is the best we have ever had. The back garden is quirky, and there is a small, private grassed area at the front. Sea Palling is well placed to visit many holiday attractions and there are lots to do. My only negative in what is a lovely cottage was the shower. We had problems with it from day 1. The temperature and amount of spray was very variable. Some days we couldn’t get any hot water, and on others there was a trickle but sufficient to burn you. Often showering was impossible which is not what we wanted after a hot/ sandy day. We contacted the owners who were sympathetic and they sent a plumber. His response is that water pressure at peak times means that little water flowing through the heating system in the shower meant that the water is difficult to control. We often had to wait till later in the evening to shower. The sinks were not affected. I’m afraid this did spoil an also most perfect holiday for us as the rest of is so good

Dormouse Cottage

Lovely stay at Dormouse Cottage, Sea Palling, Norfolk. The cottage was equipped for all of our needs and our young children were thrilled with the beach (just a short walk away) where we spotted seals bobbing in the bay every day. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful little house just a few minutes walk to an amazing blue flag beach. The house has everything you require to enjoy your family holiday. Great location to explore the Norfolk Broads and the surrounding areas. We cant wait to return next year.....

Easy access to glorious beach

Lovely clean cottage which was only a 10 minute walk to the beach. Lots of walking, seeing seals and wild life. We were lucky enough to be able to visit North Norfolk railway, just opened after 'lockdown' due to Covid 19. Lots to do in Norfolk for all ages.

Wonderful accommodation great base to stay

Cannot fault the accommodation, clean, modern and containing everything one would need definitely a home from home. Well based to see the area, the sea and sand brilliant for all and not far from convenient stores, have to say too top it all the weather was good for our stay. Overall 10 out of 10

Dormouse Cottage

The property is spacious and clean; each bedroom is of a very good size and the owners have left books, DVD's and toys that visitors are allowed to use. A welcome tray is left for visitors and milk is in the fridge. I love this property. It is also very close to the beach and surrounding villages/towns. Most important for me too, is the secure gardens for my dogs. I would definitely recommend this property.

Perfect seaside escape

Very impressed by how spotlessly clean the house was on our arrival. Over the week's stay I found the house to be really well equipped and comfortable with good quality items that made having a home-from-home really easy. I also like the fact you don't feel like you are in someone else's home during your stay. The location is fantastic - such a short walk to the beach, the well stocked shop is a real bonus as are the kiosk, cafe, bar and chip shop for lunches and snacks on the beach. It's family friendly but there is still an abundance of wildlife in the area. A walk to Waxham and a visit to the tea room there is well worth it. Will definitely visit again. Thanks to the owners for giving us such a great experience.

Great location. Lovely child-friendly house.

We stayed in this house for a week with our 2 children. It is in the perfect location for a short stroll to the beach, which is sandy and had life guards. There is a good fish and chip shop too! The location is also great for day trips to Bewilderwood, Wroxham Barns, Norwich and Cromer - all well worth a visit! The house itself was well equipped for children with a travel cot, high chair, stair gate and plenty of toys and books for little ones. It doesn’t have a bath, but a baby bath is provided and the shower is adequate. The rooms were clean and modern and the owners kindly left us a welcome bottle and some milk. We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend it to others.

Perfect!

the three of us stayed at Dormouse Cottage for a week during the Easter holidays and had a great time. the cottage was perfect for us. kitchen was well equipped, the lounge comfy (and with WII so the 11 yo was thrilled), bedrooms were good sizes too. it really felt like a home from home and the convenience store across the road was, well, hugely convenient. location was perfect for us, 2 min walk to the amazing beach, 5 mins from the seals at horsey and loads of fab places to discover within a 45 minute drive.

Great property in excellent location

We really enjoyed our stay at Dormouse Cottage (Sea Palling). It catered well for our three generation party (5 years to 70+ years). The property was clean and comfortable and provided everything we needed (the Nintendo Wii was a great hit). Sea Palling is a nice little village with a great beach. The fish and chips from the local pub was great and the amusement arcade kept everyone happy. The local area has plenty of activities to offer all ages. We have visited Norfolk on a number of occasions and will do so again. I would happily recommend this property and would seriously consider staying again should we decide to take a break in the area.

Great winter break

Stopped with grandparents and 2 children age 7 and 3. Warm modern comfortable home superbly equipped. Local village shop just across the road, beach 5 mins walk with cafe open even in February. Convenient for seals at Horsey, boat trips from Stalham and some good pubs.

Superb! Comfy and spacious, would come again.

My family of two adults and two children (age 5 and 6) stayed at this Cottage for a week during the Easter holidays and again for a weekend in November. Both times, we had a lovely stay. The house is spotlessly clean, well maintained, modern but comfortable, spacious and well equipped. The house looked freshly painted with neutral decoration. Everywhere (except kitchen, bathroom and conservatory areas) is carpetted with a plush feeling carpet. The lounge is large, there is entertainment for us and the children (some toys, books, tv, Wii, internet/wifi). We were warm there at Easter and in November. The kitchen is clean and modern, with plenty of space for a family to eat. We cooked and ate there most evenings. In fact the whole house is very well equipped, from every piece of kitchen equipment you'll need, to hairdryers in every bedroom. There is a downstairs toilet as well as the main bathroom upstairs. There is a large walk in shower, so very easy to wash two youngsters after a day at the beach! The conservatory was a useful extra space too (we stored our shoes and coats in there after coming in from outside, although there is room for all that in the hall too). The bedrooms are spacious and have lovely oak furniture (beds, wardrobes, bedside cabinets, chests of drawers), and very comfy beds with what looked and felt like new mattresses - a good nights sleep had by all. The house is in walking distance of the beach (dinner from the fish and chip shop, eaten on the steps at the beach went down very well). We also had several days out whilst at the house. We hired a self drive boat for 2 hours at Wroxham, enjoyed the farm and funfair at Wroxham Barns, went to Bewilderwood (30 mins away) for the day and Dinosaur Adventure Land (50 mins away). Overall, had a fantastic time both times we stayed there, we recommend this house and would definitely come again. Thanks to the owners for a lovely stay.

lovely clean and well-equipped property

Within walking distance of a beautiful sandy beach, this property ticked all our boxes - it was also one of the best equipped we've been to. It makes a difference that the owner spends time there as they really have thought of everything!

Excellent

Dormouse cottage was everything and much more than we expected, it was immaculately clean, everything looked brand new furniture included in that, the kitchen had everything even down to a coffee grinder with the beans in ready to grind, we would certainly return. The village of sea palling is right on the coast, to be honest there isn't much there, phone signal is very bad and I had to use the phone box to call my husband, which wasn't a problem and was quite nice really, the produce at the local farm shop is excellent, there isn't much that they don't stock, about 3 miles down the road is a large Tesco that also has a fuel station. We stuck to the farm shops though as again the produce was just so fresh. There is a small shop virtually opposite the cottage that is well stocked if you need anything like wine! The post office is in the shop as well. The villages are very pretty and well worth driving around, Holkham Hall is worth a visit as well. The only thing that let our week down was the weather which you take a chance on when you holiday anyway

Cosy, comfortable and very well equipped

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dormouse cottage, very well equipped, with everything you need. Absolutely spotless, cosy and comfortable with toys, books and a wii for the children. Owners left easter eggs for the children and a large box of chocolates. Great location, will definitely be back.

Dormouse cottage is very centrally located a stones throw from the fabulous Blue Flag Sea Palling beach and close to Winterton , Wroxham , Horsey and the larger seaside resorts of Cromer and Great Yarmouth.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The beach is 500M away from the cottage , a local convenience store is 100M away and there are local eateries and a pub serving good food all within walking distance. A little further along the beach at Waxham is a large colony of grey seals, which makes a for lovely wildlife walk!

The house itself has DVD / BluRay and flat screen Sony TV as well as a quality music system and high speed wifi internet connection, as well as quality outdoor furniture and a BBQ , so altogether you could stay all week without the car and just chill! There is adequate parking for 2 cars.

Get in the car and major seaside towns are only 15 minutes away should the peace and quiet of sea palling be too much . There is everything from Casinos and horse racing as well as the Norfolk broads nature reserve, boating on the broads in Wroxham or Stalham and even Pier action at Cromer or Great Yarmouth. There is an array of local restaurants and pubs and even the shops in Norwich are all within 30 mlies.
