El Long Linhay es una hermosa cabaña espaciosa idealmente situada cerca de los pueblos de Mortehoe y Woolacombe. La cabaña ofrece algo especial: alojamiento tranquilo y de calidad para parejas. Únicamente ubicado en seis acres de tierras de cultivo con vistas rurales y al mar y muchos maravillosos paseos desde la puerta.

El Long Linhay tiene una cocina moderna, totalmente equipada con lavavajillas, nevera-congelador, microondas y lavadora / secadora. La elegante sala de estar tiene una estufa de leña para las noches acogedoras y TV y sistema de audio con conexión para iPod. El amplio dormitorio tiene una cama king size y TV. El baño tiene una bañera y una ducha separada.

El Long Linhay ofrece un alto nivel de confort con suelos de roble, calefacción central, conexión Wi-Fi gratuita y un patio privado con tumbonas y barbacoa. Hay un montón de estacionamiento adyacente a la cabaña. Todas las toallas y ropa de cama están incluidas y se aceptan toallas de playa, pero se pueden proporcionar bajo petición. Long Linhay está a solo 5 minutos a pie del pueblo de Mortehoe, con sus pubs y restaurantes, su hermosa iglesia y su pequeño museo. La playa de Woolacombe está a 10 minutos en coche y otras playas como Rockham Bay, Barricane Beach y Lee Bay se encuentran a poca distancia.

My first choice if staying in the area

A very well equiped, and most comfortable place to stay. Everything we wanted was there and all in excellent condition. Probably one of the best self-catering places we have stayed in. Its location is ideal for those who like to walk the coastline near Mortehoe.

Much needed relaxation

Beautiful cottage in a great area with plenty of lovely walks on the doorstep. Kate was always available and really knowledgeable and helpful. Would definitely look to book again.

Lovely holiday home

We had a lovely holiday at Long Linhay. Kate and Roger were excellent hosts and the house was so clean, welcoming and with everything we needed. Local area is beautiful with excellent walks from the door of the house. Fantastic!!

Our one week stay

We very much liked the cottage and location in the countryside within walking distance from a lovely village. The house was very comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. We very much like the patio with its flowers, loungers, table and chairs and total privacy. We feel the cold a lot, so we would have liked more heating. The owners were very helpful.

Amazing!

We had a great time at the Long Linhay - location is brilliant and cleanliness of the property was particularly good in light of the pandemic. Felt totally comfortable in the surroundings. Apartment has everything needed for a week away in Devon, surrounded by some amazing beaches and walls. Roger and Kate both brilliant hosts and very accommodating.

A wonderful find

A fantastic week spent in a superb faultless cottage. So well equipped and spotlessly clean. Greeted with fresh homemade scones, jam and clotted cream. The hosts Kate and Roger are lovely and obviously work hard to maintain such a high standard . So many guests keep returning as we hope to do in the future.

Brilliant holiday

Excellent cottage and location. We didn't use the car all week as we could walk to the village for meals and used the bus to visit Ilfracombe and Woolacombe. The walks from the front door were fantastic,although the coastal path is very challenging but worth it. We thought a clock in the lounge and some extra drawers in the bedroom would have further enhanced this wonderful cottage and would certainly highly recommend and we hope to return again.

Peaceful weekend away!

The Linhay is a hugely comfortable space whether you want to relax inside our out. Everything is to a high standard which just made our stay perfect and with the wilds of Devon on our doorstep, we could really explore and get away from 'life'!

We spent the Christmas break in Devon and stayed in the Long Linhay and it was absolutely perfect. We were close to plenty of National Trust walks and it was a great way to get away and spend some quality time with my partner. They were so accommodating and friendly and I really felt at home

Lovely little cottage in a great location.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage was down the farm drive with sweeping views of the sea. The lounge was bright with high ceilings and characterful beams. It was great having a log burner. Lovely views of the sea from the kitchen. The bed was very comfy. The entire cottage was spotlessly clean. It's in a perfect location to explore North Devon. Kate was very welcoming and helpful

A lovely place to stay.

Exceptional from start to finish. A warm welcome, scones and flowers and accommodation so well stocked with everything you could possibly need and more. Well equipped kitchen, lovely bathroom and a comfortable bed. We really didn't want to leave. The seals at Morte point are a bonus with numerous walks from the door. Thank you!

Superb 5* accomodation

What a fantastic cottage everything you could ever need and more was provided. On our arrival their was a lovely cream tea left by our host kate which was very much appreciated. nothing was too much trouble. And the court yard to sit out in of a evening was a lovely sun trap definitely recomend 5* accommodation.

Property very clean and spacious, with all the appliances you'd expect in a modern house

Thoroughly enjoyable stay. This is an excellent location for exploring North Devon, with several walks right on the doorstep. The village of Mortehoe is less than 15 minutes walk, and this has a couple of pubs and cafes. Woolacombe itself is 5 minutes drive, and has a lovely, large sandy beach. In some of the other smaller coves nearby, there are plenty of rockpools for exploring. All in all, a relaxing holiday even allowing for the British weather.

Fantastic setting, beautiful accommodation

We stayed in the Long Linhay for a short break in December. It is set within easy reach of the footpath for walks to the nearby villages of Mortehoe, Woolacombe and Lee and for access to the coastpath and the beaches. The accomodation was spotlessly clean and very well equipped, with a dishwasher and a washing machine. The Long Linhay is beautifully finished, with a very comfortable, big bed and a logburner. We loved the high ceilings in the living room and the enclosed, private patio looks like a lovely area to relax in the warmer months. We are looking forward to coming back soon!!

A little gem

Wow! This is a little gem situated on the North Devon coast with stunning views and perfectly situated for exploring the Jurassic coast. We found the Long Linhay spotlessly clean, very well equipped, extremely comfy and oh so cosy. Nothing has been overlooked making for a fantastic stay. Definitely going to find time to return. Prepare to smile as you walk in the door

Spent Christmas here and it was everything you want from a cottage and more. The property was spotless, warm with a basket of logs and kindling waiting to make it cosy. Kate was friendly and welcoming and went the extra mile with some lovely thoughtful extras and gifts, in the true festive spirit.The kitchen has everything you need to cook with with plenty of pans dishes etc including Tupperware items to take on your days out. Access to some of the coastal walks in the area start literally a stones throw from the gate and as any one who is aware of the area knows the coastal walks, the vistas are stunning. Know we will be returning again in the future and happy to recommend this property as I know no one staying would be at all disappointed.

Lovely Long Linhay!

As you leave the road leading down to Mortehoe and descend the track to Yarde Farm you may be struck in awe at the beauty of the north Devon coastal countryside. The farmhouse with its origins recorded in the Doomesday Book itself is a very attractive building nestling in the protection of the hillside. Turn the corner towards the The Long Linhay and I guess the question on people’s lips is “what are we going to find?”. Open the gate leading onto the generous and private patio courtyard. Look at the quality of materials used and the skill of the craftsmen employed and you realise this is no conversion done on the cheap. You suspect this could be something special. As you enter the kitchen/dining area with all the mod cons your suspicions are reinforced. Step down into the spacious lounge with its log fire burner and your suspicions are confirmed. Glimpse into the superb bathroom with its walk in shower on your way to your spacious bedroom. This is no ordinary barn conversion. This is something special! Now return to the patio area through the French doors in the lounge, sit in the afternoon sun and enjoy the welcoming cream tea that Kate has provided. Close your eyes. You know you are not in heaven but equally you know life doesn’t get much better than this

A lovely peaceful getaway

A beautifully well equipped cottage. Clean and tidy. The cottage was well maintained and the customer service from the Owners was exceptional. They could not do more to help. The cottage was in peaceful surroundings and within walking distance of the village and local Bays. The property was ideally located for either beach or inland to gardens, historic homes and local towns. I would recommend this property to faily and friends.

A property definitely worth a visit.

We had the wonderful weeks holiday at the Long Linhay, Yard Farm. The property was so very clean and comfortable. The quality of the fixtures and fittings were excellent. The utensils in the kitchen enabled you to look after yourself, home from home. It was very light and spacious but was also very cosy in the evenings. The owners made us feel very welcome and provided lots of information enabling us to make the very most of the wonderful coastal walks and stunning beaches. We would definitely recommend a stay in the Long Linhay.

Our week at long linhay

We were met by the lovely Kate, who showed us around .and left a cream tea for us . First impression was how stunning the cottage and the garden looked. Once inside we noticed how clean it was. And everything about the place screamed quality. We had a fantastic holiday .and will return at some point in the future.

Perfect hidden gem.

Great Find......

If you are looking for a spacious holiday cottage for 2 people in the North Devon area it doesn't really get much better than The Long Linhay in Mortehoe. We had a lovely stay. The accommodation is immaculately presented and provides all the mod cons for a weeks self catering. A home from home. The owners were very friendly and supplied scones, cream and jam on arrival, which is always a good start! It is a perfect base for exploring the local area. Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful property, spotlessly clean, well equipped and a haven for peace and serenity. We were warmly welcomed by The owners and the fresh scones and flowers waiting for us on the kitchen table were a lovely personal touch. There are plenty of lovely walks in the area, and we chose to walk to Bull Point Lighthouse along the coastal path and around by Morte Point back into Mortehoe and a well deserved Sunday roast at The Chichester Arms (well recommended for fresh, tasty home cooked food). If you prefer the beach, then take a walk down into Woolacombe with it's beautiful sand and enjoy fish and chips in the sunshine. If walking back up into Mortehoe is too much of a stretch for the legs, then there is a local bus service between Woolacombe and Mortehoe village. If you prefer the peace and serenity of the garden then crack open a bottle of chilled wine or a beer and sit on the chairs and watch the sun go down. Thank you again for making our holiday a fantastic one in a beautiful setting. If getting away from it is what you need, then this is the place to stay.

Roger and I feel very fortunate living in such a beautiful area of the country. Mortehoe is a lovely, warm and welcoming village and the area is steeped in history. We love walking the South West Coast path and exploring Exmoor and never get tired of watching the seals play off Morte Point. The countryside is stunning and each season has its own beauty.

The Long Linhay is set in an ideal location. The cottage is perfect for couples who are looking for something a bit special. It is large and comfortable with modern facilities whilst retaining its original character and charm. You are surrounded by beautiful countryside and wonderful views with superb walking from the door. However you are only a short distance from the beaches and villages and lots of amenities and tourist attractions should you choose to visit them. You CAN have the best of both worlds!
