Devil's Lake Cottage - Family Friendly a block from State Park Entrance! Skiing

Freshly renovated cottage furnished with brand new furniture and beds welcomes you to the Baraboo and Devil's Lake State Park area! A block away from one of Wisconsin's most cherished landscapes sits a welcoming, cheery, family-friendly cottage. Three spacious bedrooms, – one king, one queen, and one with a twin over full bunk bed – two full baths, stocked kitchen, family room, and plenty of outdoor recreation areas make this your perfect home away from home while in the Baraboo, WI / Devil’s Lake State Park area.
Unique to this property is a fenced in playground with "treehouse" and spacious backyard perfect for yard games.

Guests can walk to the park from Devil's Lake Cottage - our property shares a boarder with state land. Come for a week long vacation, a long weekend getaway, a family retreat or an escape with friends. If you are looking to dine out, two restaurants - Tumbled Rock Brewery & Kitchen and The Northshore Restaurant and Bar are within walking distance. We are a five minute drive from Circus World Museum and Historic Downtown Baraboo where you will find many unique and locally owned shops, restaurants and antique and vintage stores. Balanced Rock Winery and Baraboo Bluff Winery are just up the road and Wollersheim Winery is a 20 minute drive through the beauty of the Baraboo Bluff Range and Valley with a crossing of the Wisconsin River just before arriving at the winery. If you are looking to take in a round of golf during your stay, we are a little better that a "chip shot" from Baraboo Country Club and Devil's Head Resort.

For our winter guests, enjoy the slopes at Cascade Mountain, Devil's Head Ski Area or Christmas Mountain Village. All three of these skiing and snowboarding areas within about 20 minutes of Devil's Lake Cottage.

If you are looking for a faster pace day during your stay, you will find year round outlet mall shopping, a casino and ample entertainment in the vacation mecca of Wisconsin Dells, just 15 minutes up Hwy 12.

Most of all, nature and outdoor activity is ample and amazing here. Visit us in the fall and grab a fresh apple turnover and a bag of your favorite apples from Ski Hi Apple Orchard - just up the road.

This is our second time renting this property and everything was neat and clean. The location is perfect, made for an easy walk to Devil's Lake State Park. Kids loved the playset in the back yard. We enjoyed our stay!

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home, we felt refreshed when we left. You don’t need to bring anything, she has everything you need. We only slept in the king size bed, but it was the best night we have slept in a long time. The home is well-kept, clean, and perfect location for us. It was just a short distance to the lake. The pictures of the home are exactly what you get, which we were very pleased. We have stayed in others and were disappointed when we got there because the pictures were deceiving, in this home believe what you see, you will not be sorry. There is a small deck off the living room with a gas grill and table chairs on a patio to enjoy. The backdrop of the yard is wooded, which we were pleasantly surprised. Small fenced in play area for kids to enjoy. You can definitely tell they put their money back into their property. Property pride. We will be booking again for sure. Five plus stars all the way. Thank you for sharing your property.

Hiking Weekend

Was a great place to stay. Clean and well-kept home. Very close to Devil's Lake State Park. Worked out perfectly for our trip. Would highly recommend and would gladly stay again if I return to the area.

Beautiful Bluff Experience! But…

Overall, a lovely experience! Great location to Devil’s Lake and Baraboo area, comfortable sleeping and living space, and well-kept property with a semi-secluded backyard feel. The play area was adorable, also. Nice bonus was access to washer/dryer. Cons were, the internet. Practically non-functioning. This is not hugely critical (after all, look where you are), but this becomes more important for lazy/indoor days and for families with younger kids. Also, if maneuverability is priority — again, for families, kids, etc — the kitchen/dining is a tight squeeze, fyi. Lastly, although the location is great, do be mindful especially on busy weekends and in-season that you WILL hear road noise and loud motorcycles cruising along S. Shore Drive and DL roads, depending how people drive. For the most part, not an issue, but I was surprised I heard it as much as I did. Don’t let the cons stop you from checking out this property! Would book again in a heartbeat.

Family wedding at Devil’s Lake

We were in town for our daughter’s wedding at Devil’s Lake and this house was perfect. Our grandson loved the outdoor play are and we loved the patio to sit under the stars at night. Plenty of room and everything was nice and clean and welcoming. The host was very friendly and helpful.

Fun weekend getaway - highly recommend!

We stayed here for Labor Day weekend with some family from out of town and our two and a half year old son. It was so much fun and we didn’t want to leave! The property was great, the yard was amazing and the location was perfect. Close to Devil’s Lake, although we didn’t go there as much as we planned because our son was having too much fun playing in the yard! He absolutely loved the swing set and playhouse. The hosts were helpful and friendly, big thanks to them for everything. We’re already talking about when we could go back! We could not have asked for a better weekend or a better rental home to stay at!

Best rental in Baraboo hands down!

The rental has everything you need to have an enjoyable stay. Very new and clean. All the comforts of home. It’s situated perfectly to easily access downtown Baraboo and Devils Lake. Lots of winery’s and distilleries. Food is great anywhere you go. Easy access to the Dells as well.

Family Vacation

Great location near one of our favorite spots in Wisconsin. The place itself is spacious and clean, with the Devil's Lake entrance right around the corner, and a great restaurant around the corner the opposite direction. Would highly recommend for any family visiting Devil's Lake or the Baraboo area. We certainly plan to be back!

Great Devil’s Lake Vacation.

We loved staying at this property. It was exactly what we needed for myself, my husband, my daughter and her husband and two young children. The fenced in yard with the playground and the lock on the outside of the children’s room door were perfect for peace of mind. We attended a family reunion at Devil’s Lake so the location could not have been any better. Thank you so much for providing us with such a clean and comfortable place to stay.

Great for a weekend getaway!!!

We had a wonderful stay. Perfect for a family with children. Our granddaughter loved the swing-set and sand play area. Wonderful bedding and great for eating in as a family. The owner also gave us great recommendations for dinner near by. Close to hiking and water park.

Great location for Devil's Lake

The location of this property was perfect for our plans to spend time hiking at Devil's Lake State Park. You can literally walk to the North Shore entrance and hop on some of the trails. Also very close to Baraboo and Tumbled Rock Brewery. The swings and playhouse are perfect for those traveling with children. The neighborhood is quiet and the backyard fairly private. We also appreciated the pack and play and high chair being there. Overall great stay. We did receive specific instructions to let the owner know when we had arrived so that she could talk us through some basic property features. We texted when we got there and never heard back. Not a big deal for us, just mentioning this as it influenced my rating for communication with property manager. I would recommend this property to anyone heading to Devil's Lake/Baraboo!

Wonderful!

This was a great property for a girls trip with my daughters and my mom. It’s close to the state park and only 15 minutes from the Dells. Clean, comfortable beds, quiet and a spacious yard. Kitchen had everything we needed plus a grill so we were able to cook. The brewery down the street was a great place to go out too! Thank you for sharing your wonderful property and for taking such good care of it.
