This beautiful Gulf-front vacation rental includes floor to ceiling patio doors in both the living room and main bedroom leading to your own private balcony so you can enjoy the white sandy beaches and the spectacular view of the Gulf of Mexico. In the family oriented dining area, there is a glass dining table that will seat six. There is a TV in each bedroom and living room. Guests can enjoy access to a shared pool during their stay.

The Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island features stores and restaurants guests can enjoy right on the shore, just under one mile away. You're also just a short walk from delicious crab legs and steamed oysters at the Old Bay Steamer. If you want to get even closer to the ocean, sign up for tours and fun ocean trips at Crab Island Watersports just a half mile away. For folks that like to stay more inland, Wild Willy's Adventure Zone is just under one mile away by car and offers bumper boats, a ropes course, and so many more family-friendly activities.

Loved the beautiful beach views and convenience to restaurants and shops. Also loved the cleanliness of the condo and property. The two large pools were great as well.

Family Trip

Room was great! We love Summer Place and have stayed here many times. First time in 605! Our only complaint not the room managers fault but the hot tub was broke our entire stay. Definitely a bummer when it’s 65 degrees at night. Outside of that it was a great trip!

Great view and pool. Not comfortable

This condo is not comfortable. The couch is completely flat and the pullout bed is broken. Kitchen supplies are horrible, beds and pillows not comfortable. Overall disappointing. Love the building, pool and location.

Relaxing October Stay

Comfortable condo with fantastic 6th floor balcony view of the Gulf. Beds were pretty comfortable with the pillow top cover. Could use more seating in the living room. Not a fan of the glass tables, but we were careful. Very clean at check in and enough of the starter pack of supplies to get through our 3 night stay. Fridge needs some TLC, but we don’t overpack with food, so it cooled just fine. We would rebook!

Great Time & View

Overall, our stay was wonderful. There were some concerns with the property itself as far as trying to figure out how to operate ceiling fans/lights simultaneously when all three remotes were on the same frequency. Also, we discovered on the second day that the dishwasher did not work properly. I thought I'd failed to start it the night before, so I put another detergent pod in and started it again. That evening, I figured out it wasn't working so I unloaded and washed all our dishes by hand from that point on.

Stay at Summer Place resort.

Not bad, just some things that were broken. Sofa bed, dishwasher and no hot water in kitchen sink. The dishes in cabinets, some were still wet and dirty. Probably due to dishwasher not working properly. No pot holders,dishcloth or sponge to clean or wipe counters. Other than those thing's, my stay was ok.

Great location

We have stayed at Summer Place for 10 years now, But our first time in 605. Very Comfortable, view is awesome, great location. Very minimal utensils . there was only 1 knife , no paring knifes, steak knifes etc. Only 1 serving bowl. No mixer. Could have used more seating in living room. Queen beds were comfortable but the king bed is very firm and could feel springs. Mold in the jacuzzi jets, although we did not use it.if we stay in 605 again I will remember to bring bowls and knifes. We had a wonderful time at the beach!

Ft. Walton Beach

Loved the condo. Did not have internet and a few of the light bulbs were burnt out. The ice maker made ice but it melted leading us to believe the seal was not working. We called the resort front desk and asked for maintenance. They put in a rush. No one came. I proceeded to chat online with a vacasa representative twice, who apparently escalated it as well. No response. That part was very disappointing.

End of Summer getaway

Location is great. You are right on the beach. Pool is directly under the room. View is great unless you want to sit down. There are no high top chairs, so you have to look through bars if you are sitting. We had a few problems with the unit: one of master sinks didn’t drain- not a big deal we used the other one, the kitchen faucet doesn’t work properly and was difficult to turn on- very annoying, but we could still get water, and the icemaker did not work at all. This was a problem for us as we were making drinks and bringing a cooler to the beach daily. We had to go out and buy ice. Lastly, the master king bed needs at the very least a different frame- the mattress kept slipping through when we got in bed and occasionally during the night. I let Vacasa know about these issues and communication was great until I gave them permission to go in the unit and fix these things. Never heard from them again until it was time to check out. Nonetheless enjoyed our stay and made the best of it.

Beautiful View, but what a mess!

The location of this condo is great! Smack dab in the middle of the sixth floor so the view of the Gulf is stellar. However it is right where everyone gets on and off the elevators, so the bedrooms closest to the elevators get A LOT of people noise! I would recommend people pack sound machines to drown out all the people returning to their condos late at night. The two beach chairs and umbrella that was provided was very nice, especially when temps were in the high 90’s the whole time we were there. There is a fairly new 12 cup coffee maker, and TWO extra coffee makers at the top of the pantry! The hairdryer in the primary bathroom was also new, and it worked well. All in all this is a lovely condo in a prime location, it just doesn’t seem to be managed very well. We spent two days of our vacation texting Vacasa trying to get someone to fix the broken bed frame in the primary bedroom, unclog the primary bathroom sinks that would not drain, and the second bathroom shower drain, troubleshoot the ice maker that poured water, and figure out why the fridge wasn’t cooling, learning the main large, wall mounted TV was not working so a small TV was set on a table under the wall mounted TV and connected to the cable box, then realizing that none of the TV’s were smart TV’s so we could not stream any movies for family movie nights. The kitchen faucet is incorrectly installed, and no hot water comes out of the faucet. Most of these issues have been repeatedly mentioned by others.

Great location!!

We truly enjoyed our time in Fort Walton Beach. The condo was overall very nice. Our big concern was the glass coffee table and the glass dining table. Just about everyone hit their legs on the corners of the coffee table. I think it is too big for the space. Both glass tables were a concern since we have a rambunctious 4 year old. We would not rent this condo again due to the issues with the glass tables. Otherwise all was good.

Great place

Our family enjoyed our stay. Checking in was very easy. Location was great. Easy access to the pools, hot tub, and beach. The location of the condo was also great. It was convenient to get to restaurants and the grocery.

I wouldn’t stay here, again

Cons: The master bed was AWFUL. Just so incredibly horrible. There were exposed wires in at least 3 different spots. The coffee pot was tiny like what you’d see that is acceptable in a small hotel room. The building was big so the beach was crowded even in October. The beach service does the chairs in a wavy line which gives room for the guests at the hotel next door to put their own chairs and umbrellas in front of everyone blocking the view of the beach and making the beach service a somewhat pointless effort. Going out on the balcony wasn’t relaxing at night because of the two pools that were full of people. The door is literally right next to the elevators so you hear everyone as they come and go. There were no towel bars unless you use the one above the toilets..which is gross, to me. Neither bathtub was updated, so the tubs were old and gross from age. The master shower curtain was moldy. We showered with flip flops on. The trash can wasn’t even a normal can. It was wide and short with no top. So it didn’t hold an entire trash bag, and smelled quickly without a top. The floors were dirty. My kids socks were blackened from walking in the condo. The dishwasher, guest tub, and one of the master sinks didn’t drain properly. Vacasa texted me the day of arrival and asked me the names and ages of my children, which made me uncomfortable and I felt was unnecessary for my stay. Pros: Condo was visibly clean upon arrival. No sign of bugs. The updates like the counters and flooring was nice.

My only gripe was I sent some questions and they were answered after we left Dallas. The 7 of us were in a SUV with limited space and it would have helped to know the answers to my questions before we left for FL.

Perfect spot for a girls trip.

Unit 605 was perfect for a five day girls beach trip. Our party had a total of 6 people and we had no issues with not having enough space or beds. The AC kept up with everyone's preferences, no one got hot in the bunk room (as I've seen in other posts) and we had plenty of extra bedding options and towels. The washer+dryer were great to use to keep our towels clean. The kitchen was well stocked - even had a kettle! - but I'd suggest bringing a 12 cup coffee pot if you're an avid coffee drinker in the mornings (they provide a 5 cup pot, but that's just not enough sometimes, ya know?). Definitely would stay here again - it's on the highest floor of the building, the pools and beach were never crowded, and everything was clean and cool!
