Family vacation

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Summerplace. The accommodations were nice and clean. All we needed to bring were food and clothes. The two pools were great as well. Although our condo rental did not come with beach service it was available as soon as you step on the sand. The daily and weeklyratea for the service was reasonable.

Perfect location!

Communication was great before and during our trip. The deck was perfect to watch the kids in the pool with their friends in the evening. Super short walk to beach. We were with multiple other families for a dance competition - the building was perfect so the girls could hang out when they weren’t competing

Great place

This condo has a full on beach/ocean view and is the perfect location. You can watch your kids from the balcony when they’re at the pool or the beach. Because this is a smaller complex, the beach is less crowded as well.

Great location and comfort

The accommodations in this property are quite comfortable. The building was a wonderful location and there were a ton of towels. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and other items you need to function. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone.

Overall Good Stay for Family

The property was perfect for a family of 8. The first night we arrived we noticed some sand on the floor throughout the condo, which was probably missed by the housekeepers. The pool was nice and the beach wasn’t crowded. The condo does need some updating like replacing bedroom/bathroom door knobs, Replacing dining table bench, and other small things. Overall it was a good stay for just a few days.

Not bad, but...

No towels, drain on kitchen sink leaked (was fixed during our stay). Extremely dated router. Shotty/old electrical, 3 tripped breakers, multiple sparked plugs. Despite these complaints, I'd stay here again. Good pricing, comfortable beds, good location.

Loved the location. The condo was very nice. Everything in the condo worked as it should. It needed cleaning. There was hair in the beds, so we washed the sheets before we slept in them. No bedding for the pullout. Someone brought some the next day. The heated pool didn’t work and had not been in awhile, which was a big disappointment. But the condo owner found another place the kids could swim that had one for part of our trip. We had a great time enjoying the condo and the beach. I definitely would stay again!

Good stay overall

Our stay was great overall! We did have housekeeping come back the day after we arrived as our feet were completely dirty after walking around on the floors for only 20 to 30 mins but they were so kind and came quick to sweep and remop! We found what appeared to be patches of mold in some spots, the ac vents in both bathrooms and behind the master toilet which were concerning… All the chairs that were at the dinning table were loose and luckily we had a screw driver with us by chance to tighten them but some become wobbly again after use so we just didn’t use the dining table anymore during our stay. The dryer didn’t dry hardly at all, we would have to do 3 to 4 drying cycles in order to get our clothes dry. This condo is for sale so I don’t foresee these issues getting fixed necessarily until it’s bought. Again, overall our stay was great!

SummerPlace 404 exceeded expectations.

Unit was clean, well maintained with very nice furnishings and a direct view of the gulf. My four adult children and I each had a comfortable bed and with two full bath rooms, we didn't have wait times. Private parking lot was well lit and close to the front door. Never had to wait on either of the two elevators and the large carts in the lobby were very convenient for luggage and groceries. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance, by beach or road. With family living in the Fort Walton / Destin area, we will be back to SummerPlace 404.

Dirty, broken chairs/table, burned out lights, dining bench dangerous and only 1 couch.

Exhaust vent had a 1/2 inch dust,no pressure in faucets, lights burned out, patio chairs/table broken,1 couch vs 2 in photo, no beach service, next to no kitchen basics .no pot holders or cookie sheet), knives dull, silverware set lacking..cant' type anymore

Perfect View

You can’t get a better view, and that’s what we were going for. I don’t like high rise condos so this was perfect. Nice family friendly area. Lots to do. Pools were meticulously cleaned daily. The internet wasn’t great, but this wasn’t too much of an issue since vacation is more about unplugging. The tvs worked without Internet because they had cable. We booked chairs that were set up daily at the beach. The kitchen could use some baking pans. Having a kid with a food allergy means we eat more in than out. This was our first beach trip in years with our boys since we’re mountain/hiking people and it did not disappoint. We’ll visit again.

Leak put Damper on trip

Pros-Great location , pools kept pristine, short walk to beach, resort provides floats, boards Cons- our kitchen sink/ disposal leaked the entire 5 days . Had to empty bowl under sink at least twice a day, still water on the floor. Reported it when we first realized and never got it repaired or had texts answered. This unit is only one of 4 in the entire complex NOT to provide beach chairs and umbrella . Kitchen is very minimally stocked, WIFI is spotty at best, we all just gave up. I would stay at this complex again but not this unit.

Due to a family emergency, we were unable to make our stay. However, the communication with the Host - from the time we made the reservation, up until the day of our scheduled arrival - was impeccable. They provided immediate updates about our stay, provided a visitors guide, clear instructions on check-in, etc. And because of this, I will definitely book this unit again. I'm hoping they will have us next year and fingers crossed we will be able to make it next time!
