This gorgeous high-end oceanfront home is completely renovated with top-of-the-line finishes and is perfectly located on American Beach just south of the Ritz Carlton. La Coquille is a private upscale vacation rental offering 1,708 square feet of indoor living space, an oversized patio with a grill and fire pit along with a spacious balcony connected to the master suite.

This home is furnished with a sophisticated coastal theme and equipped with plush, comfortable linens. It is light and airy rendering ocean views from all rooms and has an ideal layout for entertaining. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the cooking essentials and overlooks the dining, living area, and back patio.

There are three spacious oceanfront bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master suite is located upstairs with a private balcony overlooking the ocean. It is equipped with a King-size bed, seating area, and an en suite bathroom with a freestanding tub and shower.

Located downstairs are the two other bedrooms, one with a Queen bed and the other with two Twin beds. There is also a second bathroom along with a washer/dryer.
Guests can enjoy the private path to the beach directly from the backyard. Beach towels, beach chairs, and an umbrella are available.

Fresh linens, towels, and a starter kit of disposables are provided (travel-size shampoo/conditioner and body wash along with a limited number of laundry pods, dish pods, coffee, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, and one sponge.)

Great property with fantastic views. Everything was in good working order. Kitchen and master bathroom are the highlights inside. We had a storm that knocked out power one night. Owners were responsive, called in the problem and even stopped by with some candles.

Perfect place

We so enjoyed our stay at La Coquille! The house is so nice, clean, and such a great location. The hosts were responsive, so kind, and had great suggestions for things to do & places to eat. The beach is right out the back door. Sunrises are breathtaking. The local bunnies visited with me each morning as I had my coffee on the patio. The turtle was a hoot as he motored across the patio each afternoon. Highly recommend.

Great beach house.

House super cute and area is quiet. There are a few run down properties around this house, but it is a up and coming area. Felt safe. The island is really beautiful. The beach is wide and flat and water prettier than anticipated. Beach access is amazing. Host responsive. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Amazing first stay on Amelia Island

As first time visitors to northeast Florida, we were a little nervous booking a home without knowing the area well. The pictures and reviews were great for this property so we jumped on a last minute opportunity—literally booked 2 days before leaving. Our 9 hour drive in had us getting to the home right at dark but our kids were still able to run from the back patio, over the sand dunes, to the beautiful beach. The amenities within the house were perfect for our family—master bedroom upstairs and then the two bedrooms downstairs, one with bunk beds and one with a queen size bed. We cooked several of our meals at the home and found the kitchen to have everything we needed and the gas grill worked beautifully. The convenience of being able to hang out on the beach and walk back to the home as needed to grab more drinks, snacks, towels, or even use the bathroom (kids…) was so convenient. We watched two bunnies each morning, which was even more fun because we were there over Easter weekend. We also got to see a tortoise who is living just behind the house. Highly recommend this home for families with children or even couples looking for a weekend away. Amelia Island was good to us and we hope to go back!

Private yet close to everything

Fantastic stay in beautiful location

Group of 4 greatly enjoyed our stay here. The location cannot be beat. The neighborhood is a bit run down but safe and the house is very nice and the surrounding area is gorgeous. There are beautiful dunes right out back and you are steps from the ocean. We saw a ton of wildlife around the house - tortoises, hawks, rabbits, butterflies, hummingbirds, etc. There were also sea turtle nests on the beach and we got to see a few excavations. House was comfy and beautifully decorated. It has a great outdoor area and lots of beach supplies. The upstairs bedroom is a dream! Spacious, well decorated, deck with views. My only complaints are: - the upstairs bedroom is so much nicer than the others so it’s a little unfair if there are two couples - kitchen is not well equipped. We had to buy a chef’s knife - water to rinse feet on back patio smells funky - we saw several cockroaches in the first few days but management was very quick to get pest control out. That solved the issue completely! - back door handle is tricky and probably needs maintenance All in all it was a wonderful stay and we would love to come back. Thank you!!

It was great. The only complaint I have is the sinks in the bathroom suck, if you turned them on, the water sprayed out all over you and the floor. The sinks need to be deeper. Other than that everything was amazing

Cute little beach house.

We loved our stay at la coquille. Everything was clean and homey. We had more than enough toiletries, towels, and beach supplies for our whole trip. The area was a little odd, as there were several run down homes on the dirt road the house is on, but that wouldn’t prevent us from staying here again. We basically had the whole beach to ourselves because it’s not in a crowded area and we liked that.

Beautiful home and great location

This house was absolutely stunning and perfect for my family. It was just a two minute walk from the back patio to IN the water, not on the beach, actually in the water it was so close. The house is gorgeous and they have thought of everything to make your stay so comfortable and feel like you're at home. The house has amazing views. My son loved the bunk beds and the master suite was so luxurious. During the week, it felt like we had the beach to ourselves. On the weekend, it was busier, but I wouldn't say crowded. I know other reviewers did not like that there were cars parked on the beach, but that honestly wasn't a huge deal. We almost didn't rent it because of that and I am glad that we went with this place because it was wonderful. It seems Amelia Island allows driving on the beach, so there is really no getting around that from what I can tell. I highly recommend this property and would love to return.

Loved our stay

We were very impressed with the property, its cleanliness and ease of working with the rental agency. The location is great with direct access to the beach. It seems much of the house has recently been upgraded.
