Welcome to First American Beach House. This historical, newly renovated home is pet friendly and directly on the beach. Enjoy your private vacation at this oceanfront four bedroom, six bathroom (four full, 2 half bath), three story home. This home was the very first home built in historic American Beach. It has been fully renovated as of spring 2021.
We invite you to begin the day enjoying the sunrise from the main floor ocean facing patio. This area is great for having coffee and breakfast and enjoying the morning ocean air. Also on the main floor is the fully equipped kitchen with white stone countertops, stainless steel appliances, island bar sink, double oven, and bar seating area. There is also a comfortable living room area and dining area to enjoy the company of friends and family over a home cooked meal. This main floor also has two bedrooms (queen size beds) each with their own full bathrooms with walk-in shower. Finally there's 1 additional 1/2 bath on the main level.

Upstairs we invite you to breathe in the Atlantic ocean air from the second level deck. You can relax in the upstairs living room area or enjoy the elevated balcony for the best views of the ocean and beach. You’ll also find a 1/2 guest bathroom. Finally, you can finish your day in the master bedroom which includes a private master bathroom with walk-in shower.

The lower level is great for those traveling in larger groups or with children. This lower floor has a separate living room area, bedroom, and full bathroom. The living room area also includes a sofa with a pull-out bed. The laundry room is located on this level.

This home is fully equipped to take care of all your needs. The home is newly renovated and decorating in traditional “beach house” style. The bathrooms are all tiled and roomy. The countertops are new stone with brushed steel accents. The TVs are equipped with Xfinity cable. High speed internet is available throughout the house.
First American Beach House rents weekly from Friday to Friday.

My family and I stayed at this home for the 2025 Christmas holiday and had a wonderful experience. The location is truly special—being the first house in American Beach made it feel both private and historic, with easy access to the beach and beautiful surroundings.The house itself was well-equipped and comfortable for a full week stay. There was ample space for our family to spread out while still having great common areas to gather together. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfortable, and the overall layout worked very well for a multigenerational group.We especially appreciated the quiet, residential feel of American Beach compared to busier parts of the island, while still being close to everything Amelia Island has to offer. It was an ideal spot for long walks, relaxing mornings, and unwinding after days spent exploring. Note that the beach in front of the house allows cars, but there were never very many during our stay.Overall, this was a great home base for our holiday week, and we would happily recommend it to families looking for a peaceful, well-located place to stay on Amelia Island. We’d stay here again in the future!

The house was gorgeous and very clean. It fit our needs perfectly. The host/property managers were easy to contact and responded quickly, helping with a couple minor issues that were handled quickly. It was a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend this house.

Perfect Beach House

This was a perfect beach house for our trip to Amelia Island with our family and friends! The house was beautifully updated and has plenty of space. We easily fit the 8 of us (4 adults and 4 children) and had extra room to spare. The kitchen was well equipped to make some meals at home when we didn't want to enjoy the restaurants on the island, and the open floor plan gave plenty of space to hang out. The beach itself was beautiful on this part of the island, flat and wide with tide pools for the kids to play in. The owners do have some beach toys, chairs, and wagons as well, and they are very responsive and try to have anything available to make your stay as great as possible! We will definitely stay here again.

Location and neighborhood

Very nice renovation from 2019, although houses on both sides and behind appear to be unlivable and neglected for decades. Lots of construction currently ongoing on the few blocks of American Beach which is encouraging. Was never uncomfortable during our stay. Also, be aware that this is a drive-on beach and local fishermen may set up rigs right in front of the house and/or right next to the rental occupants warranting moving up or down the beach for safety.

This house met our family’s expectations to a tee. There was plenty of room for 5 adults, each of us having our own room and full bathroom. The location is absolutely perfect, just a short walk over the dunes to enjoy the uncrowded beach. If you have kids, there are plenty of beach toys available for you to use, as well as a canopy and a couple of beach wagons to make your trip down to the ocean a little easier. The fully stocked kitchen and outside smoker grill made preparing our meals a breeze. I was impressed with the size of the pantry and the refrigerator as well. We had no trouble storing all of our groceries for the week. We had such a fantastic time, and we’re looking forward to returning next summer. Thank you for such great memories!

Beautiful home in a lovely location

My family stayed at this home in late March. The home looked exactly as it did in the listing. It was very clean and well equipped. All the appliances worked well and we had zero issues with anything during our stay. Even my picky children were happy with it all!

First House built on American Beach!!!

What a treat! We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful beach house! The space was incredibly spacious and comfortable, offering plenty of room for us to spread out and relax and loved having our fur babies with us. Every morning, we were treated to breathtaking sunrises over the ocean, a perfect way to start the day. The walk from the house to the beach, through the sand dunes, was just stunning and made for some peaceful moments.The location was perfect, with fantastic restaurants just a short drive away, allowing us to explore local flavors easily. We also loved learning about the rich history of American Beach, which made the experience even more meaningful. This place truly felt like a hidden gem, offering the perfect balance of relaxation, beauty, and cultural charm. We can’t wait to return!

Amazing home - History and Tranquility

Amazing home in a tranquil part of Amelia Island filled with history all around! This house is great for families and a large patio, master bedroom and downstairs privacy. Great part of the beach. Family Gathering

Perfect setup with adult children. Everyone had their own room and bath. Lovely community and beach. We have rented several places on the island and this is one of the best.

Overall this is a great property that was well appointed and hosted a great family vacation. We used every inch of the house and loved all of it except for the lower level bedroom which wasn’t as appealing as the others.

Annual family vacation

This was our first year staying in this house and it did not disappoint. We had several children in our group ranging from ages 15 months to 18 years old and this house had everything we needed. It was spacious enough for us to separate for the younger ones to nap as needed. However, the main floor provided us a large enough space to all hand out together as a big group for meals and in the evenings. The private path to the beach was perfect for our kids to be able to walk on their own and carry whatever they wanted to play with on the beach. The chairs, tents, sand toys, and wagons available for us to use on the beach were awesome and greatly appreciated. This house has it all and we hope to be booking our vacation for next year very soon!

We love this place!

This is the best vacation house. We’ve come back several times now and it never disappoints. We come as a large group and there is plenty of space for everyone. We love the back patio that has plenty of room to store fishing gear and beach stuff. The kitchen is well stocked and there is plenty of parking. You can drive on the beach if you are a veteran or have a disabled tag so we were able to drive my grandma down to enjoy the beach since she can’t walk through the sand. I highly recommend it for your next family vacation.

Comfort away from home

The home had everything we needed, was very comfortable, had a spacious outside patio and the house was in great shape since it was just recently rebuilt. We had a couple of very minor items that needed attention and Eloise, the assistant property manager, addressed them immediately and was super pleasant. We would definitely stay at this property again!

Friends week

It was so nice everyone had their own room and bathroom! When the weather was not very nice if we weren’t shopping we were back at the house playing cards catching up! The house is so spacious and the patio is great! When the weather cleared we were at the beach walking, sunny and fishing!! It was a great trip and an awesome place! We will be back again!
