Shuckers & Beaches! In Beautiful Mexico Beach, FL

Shuckers is close to our heart along with Mexico Beach.
The property, location, people, attractions & of course the BEACHES are the best around!
We are a short 3 minute walk to the beautiful beach & beautiful "Sunset Park" with a newly built raised pavilion & beautiful walkway to the beach. The pavilion can be used for picnic lunches, sun rises/set viewing, nice bathroom, ALL available to the public.
Our home (Shuckers) has been expanded to a more open concept for more room & comfort.
We have newly converted our backyard into a beach vibe, plenty of seating, an umbrella that can light up the evenings along with firepit for cozy evenings.
Shuckers has 2ea Queen sized bed rooms (1ea with a Smart TV) & a bunkroom that has 2ea sets of bunk beds. 2ea bathrooms, 1 with a shower/tub and the other with a shower/laundry area. The living room area is a comfortable resting area with a 55" smart TV. Along with a fully set-up kitchen which includes coffee maker, refrigerator with a BOMB of an ice maker, toaster & dishwasher. Plenty of cookware, dishes and essentials.
Shuckers has an extra large driveway that could park a boat also a 6 burner gas grill, with and outside sitting/eating area.
The reason most come to Mexico Beach is for the BEACHES!! Shuckers has a beach cart to haul all your supplies, cooler, even fishing rods for surf fishing.
Mexico Beach and surrounding area have MANY new restaurants, food trucks, evening entertaining spots & GREAT people!!
You won't want to leave and will always come back!!

This house is super easy, clean, well stocked, and inexpensive. Great parking for our big work trucks. Could easily fit a boat/trailer. The street is super quiet. We were there for work but you could tell people have fun at this house. It has a big open outdoor space and everything you need to have fun at the beach. No problems for us.

The best Thanksgiving week ever. Family, friends, fellowship, food and fun! This home is absolutely the most welcoming and comfortable with everything you might need. The owners have thought of everything and everyone. The beachy outdoor space even has a fire pit for roasting s’mores or just enjoying a warm fire. We will definitely go back to beautiful Mexico Beach! For us it was a week of relaxation and reflection with our family. Believe me, it was PERFECT! Happy Thanksgiving to all, especially the owners of this perfect get away! We are Thankful for you and your home!

Shuckers was a perfect home for our trip. The walk to beach is very quick and easy. The house had a wonderful outdoor shower with warm water to get the same off. The house has plenty of room for us with a large sectional couch and two recliners. There was beach buggy and other things that we could use. It was a very comfortable stay!

Wonderful property! The home was well stocked with starter soaps and paper products and more. Upon arrival we found a welcome package. Beds were comfortable. Ice was made and water tasted wonderful. Great location to beach. Be sure to visit the other nearby islands. Must eats the Shipwreck and Hunts. We would love to come back!

Best house

It was just perfect for me and my mom and my kids. It was right by the beach. We all had our space and was able to do laundry and everything easily so happy I chose this place

Great place

We were wanting a house for our family of 7. The place had everything we needed and was very well stocked. The place was clean. We really liked there was an outdoor shower and water hose to clean off from the beach. Highly recommend this place.

1500 characters is not enough to adequately review

The front door only lock is the lock that is accessible with the key-pad.There are at least two other people that have that code (cleaning people) and obviously,any previous tenants.There should be some type of locking device on both doors,on the inside (like hotels have) so you can feel secure once inside. Immediately upon check-in,observed one window in the 2nd queen room was totally unlocked and it had no screen. The screen on the Master bedroom has an approximate 3” cut in it at the bottom right corner. This appears consistent when someone is attempting to take the screen out from the outside (with a flat-head screwdriver or knife.)Things unacceptable when paying two grand for a week: Threadbare towels, holes in sheets. Hair on shower wall. Fishhook on LR rug stepped on by our son. Only 2 grill burners work. Only enough propane in all 3 tanks to grill 1 set of steaks. No pets on beach. Public Access and motel always have a lot of people on beach. Some kitchen appl. do not work properly. Texted owner 3x - no response. When calling owner day of check-in, she was irritated as if we bothered her. Many more things, good & bad, but VRBO does not allow for complete reviews. Most are issues that can quickly be remedied by an owner that is nearby or has staff that knows to look out for such things and remedy them before they become an issue to a renter. Unfortunately, this is not the case and so it is highly possible little things will continue to unravel until big issues arise.

Great House in nice location

Had a family vacation with 7 adults and 2 dogs. Loved the house and it's location. It is very clean, quiet and roomy. The kitchen was fully equipped and the grill was great too. The A/C blows cold and there's plenty of room in the driveway for 4 cars. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay in this house again. The host was very easy to work with and made things easy. Overall this was a very pleasant experience.

May getaway

Wonderful location. Easy walk to beach. Back yard is great for entertaining. Fire pit, gas grill, and plenty of seating. The owners were great to work with.

Great location with a short walk to the beach and great for my 2 little dogs

I loved the location and the 1 level house, it had a great work area for my friend to work. It was convenient to the beach although there was no ocean view from the home. It would have been nice to have a DVD player and nicer towels but that was okay we brought our own. Lots of strict rules about the dogs that were given after the booking. We booked an extra night with the owners and that was much better than the VRBO which added so many fees. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again. It was perfect for what I needed.. we had a relaxing time.

Quiet restful vacation

We had a nice visit. It rained several days but we were able to hang out at the house between showers. Short walk to the beach, which was not crowded. Still recovering from hurricane Michael. Options for eating out were very limited and we ate in most meals. The house was great and had everything we needed. Kitchen was well stocked. We ate on the patio and enjoyed sitting out there in the evening. Overall a restful vacation. Owners were very gracious and responsive. Would stay there again.

Perfect place for two families!

The house was exactly what we needed with two small families. All of the kids loved sleeping in the bunk bed room together and the beach is a very short walk.

Hello! Brian & myself (Deanna) are originally from Northern Wisconsin. We have 3 young adult children and are self-employed.
We have been vacationing in Mexico Beach for the past 7 years. We were referred to the area by a friend and once we came we decided it was our "Home Away From Home".
Not to mention the beautiful Beaches, Gulf, the people are wonderful, very comfortable and relaxing area.
We decided we wanted to plant some roots to ensure we would continue to come for many years to come, so we bit the bullet and purchase "Shuck - 1.
It needed work, but the sweat equity was well worth it.
We hope you enjoy it here in Mexico Beach as much as we do.

The house is very comfortable, we have a gulf view from the dining room table (not to mention if you are sitting outside). It is only a 3 minute walk to the beautiful beach with easy beach access.
