Misleading
Upon reserving, the owner/manager was very communicative which was great! Check in was quick and easy and the property grounds seemed well kept and conveniently located. The moment we walked in the property, it was brutal. Much of the furniture was broken, light bulbs were blown, the linen was filthy, the curtains were dirty, the couch was dirty, the walls looked like they were painted with a dry roller (missing paint in many spots) the door leading to the patio was broken and we weren’t allowed to use it, there was mold in the tub, dead roaches in the floor, I could go on but you get the point. The property was embarrassing from a property owner standpoint and wildly misleading from their online images. I immediately called the property owner to complain on the condition, they offered to have someone come out and clean but that was only a small portion of the problem, it would take DAYS to repair everything in the condo. There was no way my family could stay in the unit comfortably with the condition it was in. The owners told us if we left immediately we could have a refund so we took the offer but were stuck trying to acquire accommodations for 4 adults and two children on 4th of July weekend which was essentially non existent. We ended up driving 2 hours South to Charleston after driving 10 hours from NoVa. Would not recommend renting until renovations are made to this unit. *I attempted to upload the 20ish photos I took to the post but it wouldn’t let me.
