Abigail Bay Bach Wellington

A los 25 minutos de haber dejado el CBD, puede sentarse en la veranda de Bach, contemplando el hermoso estrecho salvaje de Cook solo con usted, las focas y las gaviotas en compañía. El bach está situado en la costa sur en una bahía completamente sola, ubicado al pie de un bosque de árboles de Karaka. Excelente buceo y pesca, disfrute de caminatas a lo largo de la costa o disfrute de la vista desde las pistas de la granja sobre la bahía. El Bach está totalmente desconectado de la red, tiene iluminación solar, gas para cocinar y agua caliente, no hay refrigerador, así que traiga hielo para el chillybin. El Bach tiene excelentes vistas, increíbles cielos nocturnos y abundante aire fresco, ¡así que empaca una chaqueta!

A slice of paradise

Staying in this off-grid cabin on Wellington’s rugged south coast was the perfect escape. Completely isolated, yet equipped with everything you need and nothing you don’t, it offered a rare chance to truly disconnect and unwind. The location is absolutely stunning—wild coastline, dramatic views, and total peace and quiet. The host was friendly, responsive, and made everything easy from start to finish. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to recharge in nature without sacrificing comfort.

Overall the stay was lovely from start to finish a magical place for people whom love the land hosted by lovely accomodating people what more could you want. Will definitely be making the trip yearly now and would recommend to anyone.

Wild and beautiful cabin

This is our third visit. Need I say more? Love arriving to the snug cottage and firing up the gas, kettle whistling for that welcome cuppa and settling in with a book on the veranda. Then a lovely walk to see the seals and beautiful seaweed creations washed up by each tides. Restores the soul.

A beautiful spot

An amazing get away so close to the city, but seemingly so far. It is right in front of a great swimming beach. A very well set up Bach. Sunday was especially idyllic with the coastal 4 wheel closed for the day.

Long weekend stay

Anybody thinking about booking with Christine at this magnificent location, in short, do it now! We have stayed there only once but it exceeded all our expectations. We have been all around the World and this place is amongst the tops for the place and the location! Great for walks as well as chilling in place. Very relaxing taking all your stress away. Real ragged New Zealand coastline along with the crashing waves and company of seals! On top of that, if that wasn't enough, the hosts are absolutely lovely and accommodating, responding with quick assistance anytime needed. Thank you once again guys! We will definitely be back again.

Rustic getaway

Quiet, little cottage with brilliant views right on the beach. It was a perfect little escape from busy life and technology. Had everything we needed and were given great instructions leading up to our stay.

Perfect getaway

This is such a special place, thank you to the hosts for sharing! The bach has everything that we needed for a cosy weekend getaway, even extra firewood was provided when we mentioned we were looking forward to sitting by the fire and watching the ocean. We have already recommended this place to friends and will likely be back again. Thanks for having us!

Falling in love with Abigail

My husband and I stayed here for three amazing nights, the little bach Abigail is something out of a fairytale, like stepping back in time and enjoying the little things life has to offer, the coast was so full of life! Seals basking on the shoreline! Beautiful coastal walks and a cozy little fire keep us warm when we ventured back When it became stormy, we spent our time huddled up with a book and a glass of red wine by the fire Was truly one of our best vacations away so far! I would recommend Abigail to anyone wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of life. Absolute perfection! The owners of the property were so wonderful and so informative 10/10 for hospitality

The owners of abigail bay Bach went above and beyond to ensure I had a nice relaxing weekend away. They were very accomodating and helpful - even meet me at the gate to open it when I struggled with the keypad due to my eyesight. Will definitely return 😊

Just the ticket!

2nd visit. Amazing view, comfy bed, fabulous shower....stars were amazing....saw a whale rear out of the sea and crashed down with such force....so exciting. Loved watching the ships passing at night all lit up. We will be back.

Beautiful bach/fantastic location

We got really lucky with beautiful still weather and visiting during a time that the beach road was closed to anyone but residents. The bach was comfortable and so nicely decorated. We thought it was a little on the expensive side considering you had to clean and pack out your rubbish at the end of the stay, but the hosts were lovely. They came down to help immediately when there was a problem with the water flow and sorted it without any fuss. Brilliant stay, we will be back!

A getaway

We needed a break from routine and this getaway was the perfect place - isolated and connected to the coast yet within easy reach. And the host was fantastic in getting us sorted. Highly recommended - and we will be back for sure!

Location spectacular

Comprehensively and thoughtfully equiped, different but exciting location, competent 4WD vehicle preferable especially if you want to explore the coast roads, very much weather dependant but as with all of Wellington, when its nice it's very nice indeed.

Absolute ocean front

A very unique place. Unfortunately the weather wasn't the best, but did get a walk round the bay. Loved watching the ferries go by, the rugged coastline and feeling like your away from it all....could have stayed longer. Thanks again Andrea and Alex

Great Little Bach

The bach was everything it said it would be - we cut our trip a day early due to the weather and were concerned with the road on departure but all went OK....cushions on seats inside would be wonderful for these ol bums!! Definately will stay again - :)

Abigail bay Bach stay

We really enjoyed our two nights here. We love Wellington’s south coast so this place ticks all the boxes for us. Extremely clean and well presented little Bach. Everything was there for us and although the weather wasn’t great (to be expected) we were warm and cosy with the cute wee log burner. We even had a visit from the owner with a top up load of firewood, a nice personal touch. Everything in the Bach worked, great hot water system and solar setup. Highly recommended.

Great little Bach to stay

Great view out on the cook straight and has everything you need! The cutest little fireplace which was welcome on a cold night. Really enjoyed our time there :)
