The host was very responsive and clear with the neseccery instructions. The apartment was well located and spacious. Their were a few things about the apartment that were not quite right, the windows were dirty with dust on the outside, the walls were grubby, and overall it seemed uncared for. There was no tea or coffee. It was missing the small details that make us feel relaxed.

Perfect location, handy to downtown and the waterfront. Walking distance to everything we needed. Apartment very clean and tidy and had everything required. One bed a bit stiff for me but other bed good as gold. Happily recommend this apartment to anyone. Great communication from owner also. Thank you

This apartment was very comfortable & warm (during a particularly cold spell in August) for our family. It is very central in town, with a view of Te Papa, and shops, cafes & public transport close by. We would stay here again.

Best location

Delighted with the location, was with my sister and the two very comfortable bedrooms were perfect for our 4 day stay. Very nicely furnished with lots of cupboards and seating. The kitchen was well appointed and the dishwasher was appreciated. Everything worked and the shower and bathroom was clean and spacious.

convenient location

Great place to stay! Centrally placed - could walk to all the great Wellington eateries and attractions. Comfortable warm accommodation. Note: 2 double beds so in our situation one teen slept on couch which worked out ok - enough room. Perhaps bring an extra blanket!

We were unable to connect our ipad to the network because of a router setting we had no control over. It took 2 days to hear from the host on this issue. Even then the host was unable to fix the issue without referring to their internet provider. The issue was not resolved. Also, the tv is an older model without streaming capabilities for Netflix, YouTube, etc. I was surprised to find out that I should have brought my own streaming device to hook up to the tv.Central location with easy walking access to museum, harbour, restaurants, groceries, and more.

Central and very nice

The apartment was easily within walking distance to Cuba Stree/Courtney St., and the cable car that takes you up to Botanic Gardens. You can get a free shuttle to Zealandia from top of cable car or I site. Te papa museum 2 short blocks; new world grocery about 4 blocks. Safe key card entry. Comfy pleasant apartment too!

Stains

There were so many stains at this rental it made it feel very uncomfortable. The couch and rug were heavily stained, there was water damage on the bathroom walls, the toilet was not flush to the wall, and the heater was not operational so there were multiple heaters that needed to be used. The location was fantastic and very near the harbor but it was not ideal and not comfortable to stay in. I would give it only 1 star if not for the location.

Checking In

The check in was terrible. I arrived and didn't have the correct notes with me, so I contacted my contact whom we have spoken before for this property and the NZ phone contact number both of which I'm waiting to hear back from. Building under renovation which we weren't told so couldn't use the balcony. Thank goodness i ran into the cleaner who sorted our issues out for us. Really dissapointed with the contact facilities.

Wakefield Apartments

We were informed AFTER we had paid for our accommodation that the building was undergoing some maintenance requiring it to have scaffolding which might cause a minor inconvenience which entailed the view being blocked & balcony not to be used. The building was shrouded in green cloth which meant the apartment was dark. There was an empty milk bottle & half a pizza left in the fridge. There were no instructions on how to access Wifi or operate the tv or heat pump unit. The photo of the apartment was very deceiving

Great location but no view

Rating for this stay would have been higher, but we were disappointed with the fact that there was scaffolding all around the apartment and this had meant we had zero view of the outdoors! We were told there was a coffee machine, but found on the day that it was not working and (to be picky) the TV remotes weren't functioning either - the seniors in our family would have really appreciated this. Communication with the owner was prompt pre-check in, however, I had no response from the owner during our stay. The central location is the main appeal. Sorry, would not return.

Perfect place to stay for a couple of friends, or 2 x couples, or even a family. Only downside is a bit of traffic noise (3rd floor, busy intersection) but bring some earplugs and its otherwise a really nice place, very comfortable beds, decent kitchen/bath and friendly owner.

Really great communication with James. Very helpful. Location was close to Cuba Street, Te Papa and Waterfront. Walking distance to heaps of cafes, restaurants, and grocery shops. There was no milk in fridge or shampoo in bathroom. Also shower curtain looked a bit icky and grout not to clean looking. Other than these few things I would recommend it. Thanx James.

Issues Getting In

We had issues getting in to the building but someone from body corp was on hand. Given that the cleaners were there only hours before us it wasn't very clean - I think we left it cleaner then we found it. Perfect location. Average amd not much more.
