Monaco Resort - Home to Compass Cottage

Monaco is a beautiful part of central Nelson - located in the rapidly growing Stoke area and overlooking the beautiful calm waters of the Waimea Inlet.

Compass Cottage is a character apartment with gorgeous English inspired ambience - Handmade bricks, rustic timber columns & exposed rafters, rose gardens & a delightful village green! It offers dedicated high-speed WiFi, TV, fully equipped compact kitchen, comfy living area & upstairs bedrooms & bathroom.

Enjoy Full Access to the surrounding resort's Swimming Pool & Fitness Room facilities & take advantage of the wonderful walk around the picturesque Monaco Peninsula. If you are cyclists, head out on the local cycle trails, which connect to the Great Taste Cycle Trail.

It's a short stroll to the Brick Eatery Restaurant or Honest Lawyer Pub! Stoke Village centre is just a 5min. drive for more dining options, supermarkets & more. And Nelson City centre is just 15 minutes drive.

**Special conditions & notes**:

- Strictly no party, gatherings or venue use. No Smoking. Pets are not permitted.

- Compass Cottage is a private apartment within the Monaco Resort. Full access to the resorts facilities (pool, fitness room) is provided.

- Please note that the swimming pool is closed through the Winter months (from 1 July to mid-November).

**Payment, Bond/Security Deposit and Cancellation**:

- A 30% deposit secures your stay with the balance due 3 weeks prior to your arrival (full payment will be required if booking within 3 weeks of arrival).

- Three weeks prior to your arrival (or immediately if booking within 3 weeks of arrival), you’ll need to provide a card authority for the bond/security deposit via our secure online check in process.

- Cancel anytime up until 3 weeks prior to arrival for any reason and you’ll pay no more than 30% of the booking total.

- Where compassionate circumstances for cancellation exist, we’ll be happy to look at further flexibility, usually in the form of postponement of your stay, or a credit towards future stay dates.

- A Rental Agreement document is provided as part of the booking process. Please refer to the agreement for full terms and conditions. :-)

Lovely cottage

A very clean and well maintained property with excellent on site meals as well as a pool. Our family enjoyed the holiday immensely.

Review

A lot of dust on windowsills, long hair on the floors. Hard job to find the rubbish bins down the back had to ask the neighbours. Could do with a sign on the gate. Great to have the washing machine and dishwasher but we didn't spend much time at the complex.

Unit review

Very nice unit. The lighting was a bit dismal with a few bulbs either not working or missing. The lock on the bathroom door was broken, which was very awkward for obvious reasons. As much as we enjoyed our stay we felt that at the price charged, the standard should have been higher.

Had a grate time. Enjoyed the property as always at Monaco. Grate location. will be back.

Two small things that could be addressed. Top left hand seaward window latch broken. And toilet kept running after the flush. Parking was good and for the most part right outside the door. As the booking was made from Australia by my daughter there was some slight issues getting in on the day, but ended up all good. Thanks for sharing your property with us. Cheers Ray & Jo-Anne.

Fantastic location, very central and a lovely outlook.

Fantastic location, very central and a lovely outlook. We enjoyed our stay at the cottage but it may feel a bit dark in the winter time. We enjoyed the terrace with the fruit trees and the nice facilities. The pool was a great asset too.
