Summary:
Picture perfect and oozing charm, this spacious four bedroom period home in central Sandy Bay comfortably sleeps 8 people. A stunning retreat in between Tasmanian adventures, the home is ideally suited for a getaway with friends or family, and is located in one of Hobart’s most sought after suburbs. Just a 2 minute walk to the nearby Marina and Derwent Sailing Squadron on Marieville Esplanade and a 20 minute walk to Hobart’s vibrant Salamanca area.
The Space:
Built over a century ago, this large four bedroom home is understated with classic period features of high ceilings, floorboards and open fireplace to enjoy a crackling fire on a crisp Tasmanian evening. Each bedroom is generous in size, tastefully decorated, with plenty of wardrobe space. Two bedrooms feature Queen sized beds, one has a double bed, and the other has two King single beds.
A large formal lounge with beautiful bay windows and open fireplace adds to the warm ambience and offers a space for kids or adults to relax.
The light filled open plan kitchen, dining and lounge room has had a stunning renovation, and is fully equipped with modern appliances and fittings such a Smeg fridge and Fisher & Paykel stove.
Large family bathroom, masterfully designed and renovated with neutral tones, terrazzo tiling, floating vanity and free standing bath. Separate laundry with a second toilet, washer and dryer. Outdoors, enjoy afternoons and evenings on the patio in the private backyard.
Beyond the home, get active along the nearby Short Beach. Stroll into the Sandy Bay precinct to the nearby Daci and Daci bakery as well as Sisterhood cafe to enjoy a great breakfast. Walk into Salamanca Market and Hobart, just 20 minutes away.

Guests have full access and private use of the entire property.

Sandy Bay is one of Hobart’s premier residential areas, the tranquil coastal neighbourhood has popular sandy beaches like Nutgrove and Long Beach and boat-filled piers that make for beautiful views and calm pace.
For night time entertainment, restaurants and bars, Wrest Point Casino is just a 15 minute walk from the home.
Hobart CBD, Salamanca Market and Brooke Street Pier for MONA ferry departures is just a 25 minute walk from the home.
Getting Around:
Enjoy the cafes, restaurants, markets and sights of Hobart and nearby Battery Point, just a 15-25 minute walk, or 5 minutes by car.
Metro Tasmania bus network has bus stops on nearby Sandy Bay Road, just 5 minutes walk from the house. Getting to the property from Hobart airport is less than 30 minutes by car.
Taxis and Uber are also available, as well as Neuron and Beam Scooters to rent via apps.
