4 canoas de tamaño adulto disponibles en casa y chalecos salvavidas. Zona de barbacoa. Tranquilo, tranquilo. Caminata de arbustos nativos en la parte posterior de la propiedad. Carril bici y parque infantil cerca. La recepción del teléfono celular no está disponible en la casa pero está más cerca del lago. Sky TV arriba y vista libre abajo. Reproductores de DVD para subir y bajar escaleras. Todas las camas tienen sábanas blancas limpias y almohadas y mantas. Una cafetera Nespresso arriba y abajo. Aparcamiento vigilado con videovigilancia solo en el exterior. La casa necesita ventilación cuando se abre por primera vez. Golf grueso, manantiales de soda (agua caliente) cerca, así como parque, lago Rotoma con excelente pesca de truchas, etc. La casa es bastante grande con tres dormitorios arriba, balcón completo, cocina, comedor separado, baño separado, baño y ducha, salón con TV y tocadiscos. En la planta baja tiene una gran litera, salón y cocina y una habitación doble y baño con inodoro y ducha. Hay una zona de trampolín y barbacoa en el exterior.

Homely, follow the instructions around the house and all good. Plenty of room, but be prepared to make the place suit your needs. Help the owner by doing some cleaning, bring the supplies that you need. The facilities are aged but adequate.

Large house and great location

large character house in an excellent location between Tauranga, Rotorua and Whakatane which gave our group plenty of options to explore. It was great having the space to spread out and the listing seemed spot on. Definitely recommend

This isnt a 5star accommodation situation however it is as listed and worked perfectly fine for us for the weekend for what we needed. Definitely wouldnt be everyones cup of tea, but thats ok. Host was very friendly and easy to deal with.

Great stay

Very useful venue for a big family or group of friends. Half an hour from Rotorua and the road is safe and well maintained. Property manager Kevin is helpful and friendly.

Beautiful location, close to rotorua and all the sites we wanted to visit, but far enough out of town that it was quiet with beautiful views of nature.

Value for money

This property has a lot going for it. We particularly enjoyed the use of kayaks and the pet goat. Internet was fast and all the appliances worked well.It does have a distinct feeling of visiting your elderly relative who has just stepped out. With some decluttering and professional cleaning this would be the best holiday property out there. But again, then it would not be that affordable. So take your pick.

Another honest review

This property has the potential to be a great asset. It looked dated in the photos but that wasn't a problem. However, used soap, toothbrushes and facecloths, used dishes on the bench, leaking shower, laundry (not a store room), trip hazard rugs and electric cords need attention. The the beds we used were clean and comfortable but we don't think it was worth the amount we paid! Unfortunately we felt unable to stay another night there.

We enjoyed our stay, lovely cozy lounge with the fire on and plenty of space for us all. We were disappointed the oven didn’t heat well though, and there was no drier. It rained for most of our stay and we struggled to keep things dry.

Plenty of room, lots of potential.

Missing a few modern essentials like wifi and mobile coverage, but has room for vehicles and guests. 7 of us spread out comfortably. Close to lake, playground, store, boat ramp and far enough away from the main road for a quiet sleep. Would be awesome with some upgrades but is currently one of the cheaper places for its size.

Nice spot but the house was musty and dusty

great location close to Kawerau where we were working, Plenty of room for lots of people. But the house was musty and dusty, baby developed a snotty nose and respiratory congestion and could not stay. im not sure it the house needs more airing out/ vacuming or has air bourne mould

Cheap & Family friendly

There's no getting around that this house needs some serious maintenance - it's musty and full of old carpet & furnishings - but the basics you need; kitchen, bathroom & beds; are clean and comfortable. You do pay for what you get, but our large family was happy with a big house that was very affordable and gave us a base to explore Rotorua. The 4 kayaks were a bonus and definitely a highlight. It's an easy 5 minute walk down to the lake.

Rotoma stay

This property is great value for money. It has a lot of beds in it. Kevin had lit the fire for us before we arrived which was really nice of him. I was a bit worried as someone had said that the place was mouldy so there baby couldnt stay there. We had our baby with us on the friday night and there was no problem. There is an HRV system and no mould. Yes it is an old house but for the cost of it and value for money it is a great stay. Everything that you need is there.

Listing far from accurate

The house was smelly, untidy, cluttered, and unsafe. Downstairs was cold and had a strong stench of damp mold. There was still half-eaten food in the fridge and cat food on the floor. We did not stay due to the overall condition of the house. Would not recommend staying here.

Listing not accurate

We arrived at the property and were quite taken aback by the state of it. The pictures on the listing are not a good representation only the place. The place is cluttered with all sorts of appliances and other things. You can see it would have been a great place in the past but needs a lot of tlc and a good clean. The oven stays shut by wedging a spatula agains the cupboard door. We loved the location so close to the lake and had fun with the kayaks available. The kids loved going to see Billy the Goat.

Where the sticks meet the boonies... in a good way

I am not sure what the expectations of the other reviewer had but it satisfied all of mine along with finding others that I didn't knew I wanted. What does a house in the middle of nowhere have in common with a log cabin, an old castle, and a traditional yurt. Had to air out everyone of them out. Just happens in places not lived in year around. Then they take on their normal aroma. Pine, moss, and I believe sheep. That out of the way. Would stay there again 100%. Just a quiet place close enough to noisy places. A stones throw to the lake for swimming, sunbathing, or loafing around. Nice walking path in the woods. Plenty of mysteries around if you are in to that. I wish I could find the bird that whistled like a car alarm. Host was exactly what I want from a host, be a ninja. There when I need you and gone the rest of the time. TLDR: This place is a blank canvas where a masterpiece of a vacation is waiting to be created, just add some gray cells.

The house stank and it was filthy. It should not be let to paying customers.

Smoke detectors didn't work, balcony decking was rotten, balcony railing was unsafe, taps leaked constantly. The kitchen appliances need replacing. The house and yard were over flowing with 'stuff'" which made it impossible to clean and hazardous for guests. No amount of airing will improve the "musty" smell, it was just plain filthy. This place is just not habitable and should not be rented out to guests.

Honest review

The good. Location. We were allowed to check in before the advertised 4 PM time. Spacious property. Despite the tired looking utilities, mostly everything still worked. Hit water pressure is excellent. The bad. Property is in a mess outside. WIFI is advertised as included yet password instructions were not shared. Bed sheets were mostly clean and dusty on some other beds. Upstairs stay was cleaner. The ugly. Strong smell of mold especially when temperature drops at nights. Guests with respiratory issues, beware. Lights went out upstairs where we were all living - a couple with elder parents and two small children. Only the bedroom table lamps in bedrooms worked and the tall one in the upstairs lounge. Other than that, Bathrooms, galley and everywhere else was pitch dark. We could not sleep in the second smaller bedroom due to an overwhelming smell of mold at night and decided to relocate to the bedroom adjoining the bathroom downstairs to pass the night. The single bed had dust and debris on it so all three of us had to squeeze on the double bed and we are not of small built. None of us could sleep. Our stay was on new years eve. The property manager did not answer our text messages or phone calls about the power failure. It seems the property manager only cares about the rent at the expense of the safety and comfort of everyone else who may stay there. In hindsight, certainly not a place worth staying for families, a halfway lodge for homeless maybe at best.
