The breathtaking and beautiful beach landscape greets you as you enter this cottage. An amazing place to stay and relax with family and friends. This cozy cottage with 1,274 sq ft offers a view of the lake from every corner of the house. Sliding door access to a spacious yard for fun yard games. Access to paddle board/kayak/skim boards/lake Noodles/other Beach toys. Strong WiFi that allows you to connect and have service in any room to even outside on the two decks. Not all cellphone works, so this strong WiFi really comes in handy if you, your family and friends still want to connect, but if you would like to escape from those phones feel free to turn that WiFi off. There is a landline phone in the house that comes in handy for your use too. Fire pit on the beach to enjoy and have s’mores. Great trees for hammocks to enjoy that beautiful breeze the lake has to offer. Speaking of wind, if you're into action water sports this is the place to be. Right next to the pier and channel which creates the best waves for surfing/kite boarding. With the protection from the pier also creates less of a current during strong south winds leading to a safer swimming area if there were to be high waves and high winds. Roomy kitchen/dining area to be able to cook meals and enjoy them. Great air conditioning, fans and a solid amount of windows to always enjoy that cool breeze. There is a nature trail, 3 parks and a boat launch within 1.5 miles. This cottage is snugged right in the middle of two of the most popular Michigan beach towns, Holland and Grand Haven. 3 miles away from one of the best restaurants, Sandy Point Beach House. All in all this place is one of the best places you can stay to enjoy Lake Michigan and the beauty of Pure Michigan. An unforgettable place where you can share great memories with family and friends.

Very relaxing one week stay in a beachfront house near Holland. The place was comfortable and had amazing sunset views, morning beach walks, and even a firepit for an evening smores party. Would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed a wonderful week in Michigan. The house was pretty, clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The property was beautiful with easy access to the beach. There are 42 steps down to the beach that might be difficult for some. We had great fun using the paddle boards and the water lily. We heartily recommend this property and hope to return ourselves. Very special place.

Lakefront Bliss

My husband and I do a lot of travel and VRBO home stays with our 4 young children and this beautiful, cozy lake front house will now forever be one of our favorites. The view is indescribable, the home is clean, well maintained and so thoughtfully outfitted with everything a family could need. We spent so much time on the water using the kayak, paddleboards and the large float pad that the kids could play to their hearts content on (us adults too!). Cynthia and Jerry are so kind and welcoming- we truly did not want to leave.

Family vacation

The house was absolutely beautiful, well kept and stocked! We were greeted with wine and crackers! Everything we needed and more. We made good use of the paddle boards. The views were breathtaking. We can’t wait to come back!!

Absolutely perfect

The house is kept immaculately, and the sports amenities (kayaks, paddleboards, life jackets, etc.) are many. Nearly every window looks out at the lake, and the private beach is just that. We had a wonderful time, and our hosts were first-rate. We'd love to return someday. (Meanwhile, we have a couple hundred pictures to sort through.) Our stay was great in every respect.

Wonderful place, exactly as advertised !

Lots of the reviews said something like "the best stocked rental house we've stayed out"...and that was exactly what we experienced. 2 kayaks, 3 SUPs, life jackets, plenty of nice beach chairs and umbrellas, well stocked kitchen, plenty of towels and beach towels, soap/shampoo in both bathrooms...I could go on and on. The only thing we wanted that wasn't there were skewers for roasting marshmallows over the fire we had on the beach. Also, Cythia was great to work with. When the dryer wasn't work right, she had someone there within an hour or two to fix it. Absolutely no complaints and would definitely recommend it. It's a wonderful place to stay if you want to be right on the beach !

Glorious Setting

If you’re looking for serenity, book this property. The Lake Michigan view, sunsets, and tranquil beach access are what we were looking for and we were not disappointed. Cynthia went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable and we are already planning a return visit. Pay close attention to what is included in the supplies and amenities - you won’t want for anything. Thank you for sharing this hidden gem.

You can't beat the location of this property! Cynthia was available and checked in during our stay but we didn't have anything that needed to be addressed. Would recommend property for families. Will stay again.

Perfect Private Beach Getaway

This was the perfect getaway to balance working remotely and having fun on the beach in between back-to-back family weddings. What a treat to have direct access to such a beautiful, private beach with kayaks, paddle boards, firepit and, of course, amazing sunsets. The wrap around porch had more than enough room and furniture for everyone to spread out and enjoy. The main floor was charming, clean, well thought out attention to detail, and had one of the most well stocked kitchens we've stayed in. Information and instructions about the property, surrounding towns, bike paths, etc, was readily available and clear. And Cynthia was very responsive to additional questions. We had a great week and would highly recommend this property.

Wonderful house!

This was the most well stocked house I've ever stayed in. The house was perfect, clean, and comfortable. The beach was amazing and we all loved the week here. Cynthia, the contact person was available and friendly. I didn't need anything but i knew i could easily contact her. All around best week and house! Thank you!

Relaxing and Fun!

We had a great week on Lake Michigan! The home has everything you could need and was so comfortable, quiet and peaceful! The sunsets were amazing. We loved all the fun water toys they had (kayaks, paddle boards, boogie boards, skim boards and foam pad). It was also located right between Grand Haven and Holland so there was plenty of stuff to do nearby. We had a great time! My only critique is to sharpen the knives. We fished and they had plenty of knives, but they were dull and it was very hard to filet our catch. Hubby will add a knife to his fishing gear. We are beginners at fishing but are completely hooked after fishing during our stay!

Great Lake Michigan Vacation

Cottage was as advertised! The home is well stocked and located an easy drive to both Grand Haven and Holland. We really enjoyed the private beach. It was very accessible with plenty of space to spread out. The host was very responsive and easy to work with. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again!

The perfect trip

Truly an amazing experience with a wonderful host. The proximity to both Holland and Grand Haven allowed you to enjoy what both cities have to offer. The views off the deck and having the beach a few steps away was wonderful. The beach itself is amazingly soft with plenty of space and relatively quiet with just local neighbors on the beach with you. Our kids had plenty to do with all the beach amenities provided- kayaks, paddle boards, boogie boards, sand toys, and a giant foam pad, plus plenty of beach chairs. Cynthia had everything that you could need and clear directions on where things were. At one point we even had an issue with one of the beach items and right away she responded and took care of it.

Beautiful Lake Michigan Shore!

The lake house is exactly as pictured. The three bedrooms and one bath are on the lower level. The upper level has a very nice kitchen, bath, dining area, and living area. Both the upper deck and the lower porch have beautiful views of Lake Michigan. Stores are not far away on US 31. Cynthia Cox is very easy to deal with and left us a wine basket. Overall, very nice. Everyone enjoyed the beach and the beach toys.

Dream Cottage

Beautiful view of Lake Michigan. Easy walk to beach with plenty of beach, and beach and lake toys. Cottage is bright and open and incredibly well stocked. Neighbors are friendly with one even offering to let us use their grill if we couldn’t get ours started! (But we did.) Cottage is close to great walking/running paths.

Relax By The Lake

As described in other reviews, this is a 60 year old updated Lake cottage. Living area is upstairs with great lake views. All beds are downstairs, but still have good lake views. The beach is close and you will easily hear the waves. Lots of beach toys available. Be aware that this propety is on a well and water supply/pressure can be a challenge when demand is high. We would definitely rent again!
