This 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath villa in Bahia Pez Vela Beach Resort fuses the exquisite natural beauty of Costa Rica with the modern amenities and comfort that discerning travelers demand! Magnificently appointed, you will feel like royalty living in this villa on top of the world with unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean!

For the digital nomad we have high speed internet via fiber. Work from home while overlooking the beautiful ocean.

The exclusive Bahia Pez Vela Resort gives you access to a secluded black sand beach, award winning restaurant with room service (Soluna), multiple pools and a concierge service to help you with all of your needs.

Watch the sunset from the downstairs patio or from the full length 2nd floor balcony off of the master suite. Enjoy a massage in the privacy of the home or on the beach if you prefer. Sit at the pool or the beach and have the staff bring you drinks and food. Use a paddle board, kayak or go snorkeling and explore the bay. Have the concierge set you up on a deep sea fishing excursion, which picks you up right from our secluded beach. Do nothing or do a lot. The world is your oyster here!

Walk through the iron door to be greeted by granite stairs and a beautifully appointed half bath.
First floor boasts a fully equipped chef's dream kitchen with a 6 burner GAS Thermador stove, high end appliances and water filtration/softener system. The water here is delicious, right from the faucet! Kitchen opens to dining and living room with views of the ocean. Have a private chef serve you dinner at the marble dining room table for 8 or watch a movie on the flat screens in the living room or master.

TVs offer programming from various streaming platforms (with an ever-growing selection of pre-purchased movies available).
Enjoy the outdoor shower while listening to the sounds of nature.
Cook out on the grill in the backyard
Turn on the fountains outside of the dining room and kitchen and enjoy living in the lap of luxury!

Marble floor, a coffered ceiling and expansive views of the ocean greet you as you walk through the double doors on the 2nd floor and into the master suite which spans the width of the villa.

Tucked away from it all is bedroom #3 is on the 3rd floor with a queen bed as well.

The Perfect Spot!

This was a perfect place for our family of 4 to spend a week in Costa Rica. The location, amenities, and views made it all worth it. The house itself is beautiful and has everything you need for a visit to this beautiful country. Hillary is extremely responsive and offered many great suggestions and advice when planning our trip as well.

Perfect vacation stay in every way

The villa is magnificent! My husband and I are an elderly couple who enjoy beautiful sunsets over a water view, and this villa has the very best of both. My retirement hobby is cooking, and there are not enough words to describe the magnifient kitchen; I so enjoyed making various Costa Rican dishes. Our two daughters-in-law, who accompanied us, availed themselves of the various local excursions with the help of the resort's travel agency. The office staff were the best and saw to our every need. The villa is a very short walking distance to a small, hidden away pool, and we not only enjoyed its water and view but also the monkeys and iguana that rested in the trees. For those who enjoy dining out, the restaurant on site has excellent food and drinks. A quick side note to anyone who might need distilled water for a CPAP: after not finding it at any grocery store or pharmacy, we did luck out at the hardware store, where it is sold for use in boat batteries.

Beautiful family time

Very comfortable and surprisingly spacious villa with wonderful views. The easy access to a great restaurant, pool, and private beach made this an easy and relaxing vacation. We stayed as a family of four with two young children and all were happy.

Wonderful!

We stayed at this property for one week and although we enjoyed a few day trips and exploring the town of Coco, our favorite part was just spending time at the fabulous pool and beach. It was quiet with just a few other families around. The restaurant was incredible for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Everyone was kind and helpful. The beautiful home sits atop a hill with drop dead gorgeous views of the pacific. It's private and peaceful. It's fully equipped with everything you need in a full kitchen. We watched streamed a few movies with no issues and had easy access to Wifi. It was perfect for my husband and I, and our two young daughters. The master bedroom is amazing and the girls each had their own room which were small but cozy and comfortable. To get to the pool/ocean you have to travel down a very steep road - maybe 1/3 mile? So unless you feel like walking up and down this brutally steep climb, rent a car. Which is also nice to have so you can do other local exploring. I can't say enough good stuff about these accomodations and everything the resort had to offer. We will definitely be back.

Villa is a Gem

This villa is unique for Bahia Pez Vela. It is truly one of a kind. We were very comfortable and immensely enjoyed our stay. The views from the villa are breathtaking and we’re lucky enough to see a whale from the villa one morning. We enjoyed breakfast and lunch each day from the upper veranda. Our host Hillary, was very gracious and helpful. Bahia Pez Vela is a really wonderful complex. The staff are all friendly and very helpful. Highly recommend the Soluna Restaurant in the resort. The sushi is excellent. Ocotal beach is one of our favorites and the snorkeling was excellent. One afternoon we were serenaded by howler monkeys in a tree beside the beach. Ocotal is a quick drive to Playa de Coco where there are nice restaurants and Auto Mercato for groceries is excellent. Ocotal is a wonderful area and the villa at Bahia Pez Vela feels like a Spanish oasis. We highly recommend this property and hope to go back next year.

Great house

Beautiful and well equipped house that lives up to the photos. It is perched high above the water with sweeping views. The walk up from the beach is quite steep and on the road, but it is a very quick drive down to the pool and beach and there is a parking lot a few steps away. There is a smaller pool that you have access to a few doors down from the house as well. The community is very well maintained and safe (there is a gatehouse to enter). The restaurant by the pool was very good and was not busy when we were there. The host and the on site management are very responsive if anything comes up. We had a great time!

Breathtaking

My family and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the villa! It was an absolutely beautiful property that provided the perfect foundation for a mosaic of peace, joy, family bonding and lots of laughter. The resort staff was friendly and helpful, and the villa owner maintained great communication throughout the entire booking process and stay. The grounds were beautiful (the view from the upper and lower patios!) and the location was also ideal, with delicious food (when we weren't taking advantage of the state of the art kitchen and backyard barbecue, we often found ourselves at Father Rooster), coffee (Guayoyo); and our must-do activities of scuba diving and snorkeling just a stone's throw away. I was also able to get some work done during my stay, thanks to the reliable internet connection. It was great to have the option to stay connected and work while enjoying the serene atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Great Costa Rica rental experience

The property description and photos are very accurate. We found the house very comfortable for our family. Very clean and spacious with lots of outdoor space. The beach club was quite crowded during the week of New Years but we still found chairs. Nice pool and beach are a very short drive down the hill. Most of our activities were about 45 min to 90 min away. I highly recommend you need a rental car. Use Waze for directions. Coco Beach downtown is about 15 min away by car with lots of restaurants and a market to stock the fridge.

First time in Costa Rica

This place was absolutely beautiful! It is exactly what you see in the pictures and extremely clean. I come from a Family that has owned bed and breakfasts and resorts, so to pass my standards of clean is a hard thing to do. We also are a family that cooks a lot and this kitchen had everything you could need. Only thing we found missing that may be helpful is a meat thermometer. Not only did they have the pans and knives and everything needed to cook, but there were also lots of seasonings and we actually left behind a special barbecue rub seasoning that my husband makes. The view from this place is phenomenal. My favorite part was waking up and having coffee on the balcony and seeing stingrays, jumping in the ocean and watching the sunsets in the evening. When they say there are plenty of towels and beach towels, they are not kidding. The owners were very attentive, and super kind to even consider allowing us to change our dates by one day when our flights were almost canceled. The check in process was extremely easy. The concierge is amazing and disregard the one negative review that is on here because they did an outstanding job for us as well. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful place and have an amazing time with my family.

We absolutely loved our time in Costa Rica; we as a family voted this our favorite vacation of all-time. The house is gorgeous and wants for nothing. The owners have truly thought of everything, and we felt extremely pampered during our stay. From Abbi the concierge (who is an absolute wonder!) to Sebastian at the delectable Maracuya Beach Club, all of our needs and wants were met with a smile. This house, resort, and country truly exemplify Pura Vida, we cannot wait to return!

A Dreamy Escape

Our family of four (including a 7 and 8 year old) stayed here for an entire week and left wanting more! The VRBO is spacious, and generously stocked with everything you will need. We enjoyed the private beach, pools and onsite restaurant and bar. Reynaldo and Lisette at the Maracuaya restaurant went above and beyond to make use feel special. We rented a car for the week, which I would highly recommend. Hillary was excellent and prompt in communications and recommendations for excursions. Pura Vida and Con Mucho Gusto!

Highly recommend!

This property was exactly as advertised. It was spotless, well taken care of and the host was always available if anything was needed. The house had a book of recommendations that were spot on, including the wonderful massage therapist that would make house or beach visits. The beach club had a great pool right by the ocean. There were always a few chairs available but enough people there for my teen son to find someone to hang out with. Coco was a quick 10 minute drive away for anything we needed but far enough away to feel a bit removed from the faster pace of the town. The sunsets from the house balcony are not to be missed!

Wonderful Costa Rica villa Retreat

Normal ware and tear do to house being a rental - It is a beautiful place! Only issue is that there is a fabulous main suite with incredible views off the balcony - bathroom great - problem is we had 2 couples who “shared” the Villa The 2 & 3 bedrooms ok but nothing like the main one- we solved problem by having house cleaners clean 1/2 way and changing sheets That way we all got to experience the luxury of the main bedroom

Paradise!

We had a wonderful week at this villa! It is as beautiful as the photos. Very clean, very comfortable beds, linens, furniture. Kitchen very well stocked with anything we needed. We had a chef in one evening for a dinner/cooking class and had a wonderful time. The pools and restaurant were wonderful, staff all helpful and friendly. Host was great, prompt and friendly via email prior to, during, and after our stay. I can't wait to return to this piece of paradise!!!

Good and Not So Good

The good…beautiful home, comfortable furnishings, tastefully decorated, lovely well maintained grounds, extremely friendly staff. The views are stunning and the backyard is gorgeous. The not so good…The concierge was a nightmare. Every time we requested their assistance to schedule an excursion or service, it was mass confusion- they forgot, they thought it was for yesterday or the day after. The car wasn’t even at the airport to pick us up…we had to call and wait 30 more minutes after arrival. The upstairs TV could not get a signal and the office was unable to fix it. The house was tidy but bathrooms counters were filthy. The worst were the linens. The master bed had blonde hairs in the sheets and the towels were old and dingy. The house is really gorgeous but there are no operating windows other than the doors so it’s a mold trap. You smell mold in the washing machine and mold covers the exterior of the home, including the outdoor shower.

Living the Pura Vida

A wonderfully comfortable, clean, and beautiful property. The homeowners were communicative and helpful with recommendations. Absolutely enjoyed our time at this property. The resort concierge team (Cesar and Abi) are wonderful. We enjoyed several tours and arranged a private breakfast at the resort restaurant. A great bay for snorkeling with a beautiful black sand beach. We are a family of four (two teenage sons, plenty to do to keep them busy and interested).
