- Guests must obtain a permit at the lobby kiosk by entering their vehicle license plate number; additional parking permits are available for $10 per day and are subject to availability
- Trailers and oversized vehicles are strictly prohibited on the property and subject to being towed

Dayton Beach Stay

building was outdated and only 1 elevator working, stated had a Tiki bar but all it was actually a converted garage, grounds not well kept. Room was clean but the beds were too small for a 6'3" man and my wife had to sleep in a separate bed because they were not big enough for 2 adults

We truly appreciate your patience and understanding as this work is completed to enhance the overall experience for future guests.- The Tiki Bar was built as a permanent addition near the pool and isn’t a converted garage—we’re sorry it didn’t meet your expectations.- We’re actively refreshing the pool deck and grounds after recent storm damage, and improvements are already underway.- The beds are full-size, and while that works for many guests, we’ll make sure the listing reflects the size more clearly going forward.Thanks again for your review.

Disappointed

The room was updated and cleaned however the property is very run down. There were homeless people on the property living out of their vehicles. It is very sad because this property is nestled between two gorgeous, condominiums and it has potential but needs lots and lots of work.

Our goal is to make vacation rentals easy for everyone. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:- We’d like to clarify that there are no homeless individuals residing on the property; what you may have seen were elderly residents or guests stepping outside to smoke.- For safety and peace of mind, there’s a night security guard, regular police patrols, and permit-only parking, with unauthorized vehicles subject to towing.- The building is currently undergoing renovations, including updated entry hallways, new carpeting, baseboards, fresh paint, elevator servicing, and exterior tower painting.- The pool area has been refreshed with new furniture, and paver installation is coming soon.- While we don’t own the building itself, we’re committed to offering a clean, updated, and comfortable stay within their unit. If your experience felt better than 2 stars, we’d truly appreciate an updated review, it makes a big difference for small hosts like us.Thanks for your valuable feedback as we continue to improve for future guests!

The room itself wasn’t too bad. We liked the bay windows and the views. The beds were decent. It was a tad bit dirty, there were toothpicks in the closet, 2 pop cans underneath the bed that did not come from us, but yet they said to clean up so I did pick up those cans so I don’t get charged. The fridge kind of smelt honestly too. The tiki bar was only open once since being there as well. Only toilet paper there was on the roll, no other toilet paper (we were there for 5 days basically, with 3 people) and I didn’t reach out to the person because the 2 times I did, she seemed as if I was bothering her, so we went out and bought some for us. There is only one washer, and one dryer was only working (barely after it ate quarters and some gentleman was able to get them out) all in all it really wasn’t too bad. Just some things weren’t the best.

The room was clean, however the building itself was very rundown and had a bad odour (cigarettes, weed). And the building was undergoing construction, so there were loud construction noises early in the morning and late at night, seemingly at all hours. The pool and lobby were clean, however the cleanliness of the upstairs hallways and the construction had a negative impact on our stay.

We’d like to clarify a few points regarding your stay at the Oceanside Inn.Smoking is not permitted inside the building, though at times odors may enter when people come and go. The property is currently undergoing major renovations to enhance our guests’ experience. While some noise is unavoidable, all work is limited to daytime hours, similar to what you’d expect in any residential or commercial property.Inside, we’ve already renovated the downstairs hallways and bathrooms, repainted all guest floors, installed new lighting, replaced carpets, and are in the process of adding new baseboards. The elevators are also being updated. Once the telephone company completes its work on the towers located on our roof, the exterior will receive a full repainting as well.We’re glad you found the room, pool, and lobby clean, and we truly appreciate your patience as we continue making improvements to ensure an even better experience at the Oceanside Inn for all our guests."
