Beautiful View

In the winter the bedroom on the entry floor takes awhile to warm up. The control needs to be increased before renters arrive, especially when temperatures are below 58 degrees. We enjoyed our stay. There was a broom but not a mop. We donated one along with a can opener.

Alright if you have a really large group that needs to stay in one place

House accommodates a really large group. But it needs a lot of updating in order to be considered a top-of-the-line accommodation.

Great location not so great house

First let me say the positives- This IS in a great location, in a great town. It also has plenty of room for a large family gathering, beautiful views and good spacing. However, as soon as we got there it was really hot inside. No big deal considering the way the summer is going. We just thought it would take time to cool down. The A/C didn’t work the whole time on the two upper levels. We texted, no reply. We turned on the window units in two of the rooms and opened windows in the third. Next morning I called three different times and left a voicemail. No reply. Needless to say we just didn’t have A/C the whole time. Propane tank was empty so I replaced with a new one and left it for the next guests. Beds were dingy. Slats kept falling off of bunk beds. Couches really need to be replaced, comfortable but being worn bare and rub off on clothes. There was an empty bag of laundry pods. Pool table is definitely on its last leg. The grill is on an elevated tiled island with missing busted tiles all over the back porch. No can opener. No plunger. Busted wall switches. Some of these things truly are no big deal but as they all start adding up it felt like “what’s next??” Well next was my granddaughter being locked in the bathroom by the front door and laundry room, because the doorknob won’t turn all the way to release the door. My usual way of leaving a bad review is to leave no review. This was beyond what was usually expected of fluff pics and all.

Large family home

Good location, plenty of room for 2 to 3 families to stay comfortably. Description on line accurate. Enjoyed the stay and watching the elk.

Great large home for family togetherness

We enjoyed our stay here, lots of seating areas to eat meals together. Was nice that there are two kitchens for extra fridge space. It’s much needed with large families. We loved the view of the mountain peak from the livingroom window and elk showing up outside the yard. The kids loved having a park nearby! Also Close to shops and hiking trails. The only thing that was disappointing was the condition of the hideabeds. They were both broken and not usable. We made the best of it since The mattresses were easy enough to pull out onto the floor to sleep on. All in all was a great place to spend quality time with family. The teens loved playing pool!

This was our first big family vacation for our family, and it was AWESOME!

We had a great time! Located minutes from everything we wanted. Had snow😃, and the house was huge! Big enough for this family of 13, with room for people to have a quiet place if needed. We’d love to return next year ☺️

Needs some improvements.

Our stay at this property on January 1st-5th was not quite what we had expected. The first night we arrived we discovered that only one of the 8 smoke detectors was working. The maintenance guy came and replaced the batteries in those and some of the remotes that were missing them and installed some additional carbon monoxide detectors. That evening we also discovered several dirty plates and silverware had dried food on them. We had to use paper plates that night then rewash all of the dishes the next day. We had to zip tie the dishwasher rack to keep it in place and fix some loose screws on the cabinet drawer guides in the kitchen so they would function properly. We also to adjust one of the bathroom doors because it would not close and the jets in the whirlpool tub in one bathroom had what appeared to be mold in them. As we were getting into bed that night, one of the bed frames broke because some of the slat supports were missing underneath. We had to fix it temporarily to sleep and the maintenance guy came the next day to repair it. We also found blood on the sheets in another room and had to sleep on flat queen sheets that night since there were no extra king size sheets. They did bring us a new set the next day. Throughout our stay we had to boil water on the stove and carry it upstairs to the bathtubs because there was only enough hot water for one person to take a shower. Although the house did have two average size water heaters, the kitchen and all three upstairs bathrooms ran off of one while the other only supplied hot water for the basement shower and sink. The property manager did not respond to my message on the first night when we had issues with the smoke detectors but we got that problem resolved with the maintenance guy. The other times we contacted the property manager he was quick to respond and he did refund us $300 of our rental fee for the issues we dealt with. It’s a neat house in a great location with a lot of space and plenty of parking for our four vehicles, but I would not describe it as “updated”. The furnishings might be newer as stated, but many of the finishes are dated and a lot of things need to be fixed and better maintained to live up to that description

Great Vacation home!!!

The house has a nice view and had enough room for everyone and close to everythingwe did locationeas great, the only down side is it needs a lil upgrade but overall we enjoyed the view.

Some great things: Lots of space Lots of seating Good location Host was very easy to reach and responsive Flexible to work with Temperature control was great Beautiful view Just some things we wish we read in reviews prior to booking (from our group): -Not very clean (smears on wall and cabinets, blankets dirty, hair in restroom floor and shower, very dusty in most of the areas you could tell which are not used as often- we went through and cleaned because we used all the spaces) -Kitchen is not “updated” (cabinet doors and drawers are loose and some are broken so be careful when you pull open) -No working can opener so if you need one take one -Full-size beds (one down one upstairs) very uncomfortable, could not use Overall it was okay, we made it work. We would have preferred not to have had to clean as we walked in the door though that was probably the biggest thing.

Worked Great for Our Family!

Just as advertised in terms of space of the house, and location of the property. There were 16 of us and we had plenty of space for everyone. Parking was very easy for our 5 cars. And the owner was very responsive when we contacted him. Other bonuses for us were that there are great views of the mountains from the house, and a large playground just across the street (we had lots of little ones). Needs some minor maintenance but everything still functional.

Ruidoso in Sept.

The inside of the house wasn't that clean, the dishes had to be rewashed/rinsed; the cabinets were greasy; the trash bin was difficult to open; one of the king rooms did not have sheets - I called the number given to me to request sheets, but did not get a call back - so we washed a blanket and they used that, also the bed was lopsided in that the foot of the bed was higher than the head. The location was excellent.

Golf in the Mountains

This property is a great location for golf at The Links. Lots of space for friends. Property is nice, clean, and well kept.
