Disappointed
Well, we’ve been disappointed to say the least and for many reasons. The instructions for accessing the unit from Big Bear Vacations were bad. The location of the lockbox and which door to use was not stated clearly. The welcome booklet had very little information. There is no lake access from the house. We selected this place based on the fact that the listing was advertised as a 6 bedroom. Now it’s 4. Turns out the extra bedrooms had to be removed because they were in a basement without windows and were not legal. No extra bed linens available. A few extra pillows but no cases. The place is dirty. There are cobwebs all over, the entire house is dusty, the toilets are not clean, all of the windows are dirty. The back patio was not swept and the patio furniture was dirty. We had to clean it ourselves in order to sit out there. No hand soap, no hairdryer. The jacuzzi is inoperative. Reaching out with our concerns to Big Bear Vacations were answered with generic answers and dismissive responses. Our request for at least a partial refund was never acknowledged. The house is a nice house and our family enjoyed our time together, however, the quality of cleanliness and customer service we would have normally expected from Big Bear Vacations was not acceptable. There were no reviews, which makes us think that this property has de-listed and re-listed because of prior poor reviews.
