We stayed in Ocean Reef Resort 520 for a week and loved it. The kitchen had everything needed to make meals for my four kiddos. The beds were very comfy and the the condo had enough room for everyone to move around for the week. The view was perfect. There were chairs and boogie boards in the closets. My kids loved the pools and my 6 year old especially loved the slide! We were steps from the beach and it was not a congested area. Check in and out was a breeze and Elliot reality even provided a goodie bag. The only downfall was parking, this obviously was not the owners fault. Also, we have a huge expedition. There was only one night where we could not find parking in the lot across the street and had to use the parking garage. We are hoping to come back next summer!!

There should be a benefit to renting from Elliot realty via VRBO. We still had to go to a completely different location to pick up ‘keys’ that weren’t even keys- just a slip of paper with the door code. VRBO hosts typically give that information via email. There was a card with some numbers but no explanation that we left on the counter- turns out it was the door card for the gym. But there was no card needed when my son used it. There was also one single band for the pool when it was noted we were a group of five. Luckily no one was wearing them nor did attendants ask for them. This property has extremely difficult parking- the lot across the road is always full and the parking garage has a very low ceiling- barely fit our truck. And I couldn’t imagine walking that distance in July- it was bad enough with a moderate heat week in August. The property was adequately maintained, but there were no filters for the coffee pot, and upon taking the first bag of garbage out, the bottom of the can was covered in old drips and pieces of candy.

Our goal is to make the check-in process as smooth as possible, and we understand how frustrating it must have been to travel to a separate location for a door code that could have been provided electronically. We are currently reviewing our procedures to improve this process for future guests.
Regarding the gym card and pool bands, we appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention. Clear labeling and adequate supplies should be a given, especially for a group of your size, and we’ll make sure this is addressed with our housekeeping and guest services teams.
We also hear your concerns about the parking challenges and will pass along your comments to the property management. Larger vehicles can indeed find the garage tight, and we understand how uncomfortable that can be, especially in the summer heat.
As for the cleanliness issues and missing coffee filters, we truly regret that these details were overlooked. Our team is following up to ensure higher standards are met moving forward.
Your feedback is valuable in helping us improve the experience for future guests, and we hope you’ll consider giving us another opportunity to provide you with a better stay.
