The Space:

Alamanda Estate is a private hinterland retreat offering space, comfort and sweeping views across cane fields to the Coral Sea, all just minutes from Port Douglas.

Thoughtfully designed for relaxed indoor-outdoor living, the property features open-plan living, dining and kitchen areas that flow seamlessly onto expansive wraparound decks. Multiple outdoor sitting areas provide the perfect place to unwind, whether enjoying a morning coffee, long lunch or evening drinks overlooking the landscape.

The estate is configured across a main residence and a separate private retreat, providing both shared living spaces and additional privacy — ideal for couples, families or small groups travelling together. In total, the property offers three bedrooms and three bathrooms, comfortably accommodating guests while allowing space to spread out.

Outdoors, the property truly shines. The infinity pool and covered cabana create a resort-style setting, while the surrounding grounds, including a fire pit area and pizza oven, add to the unique experience of the estate. Both spaces are included in your stay and are not shared with other guests.

Set in a peaceful and private location just a short drive from Port Douglas, Alamanda Estate offers a relaxed escape with a sense of space and seclusion.



Guest Access:

Guests will enjoy private access to the main residence (cottage), including all indoor and outdoor living areas, wraparound decks, infinity pool, cabana and landscaped grounds.

Bookings of up to 4 guests include use of the cottage. Should you require additional space or wish to include the separate private retreat, this can be arranged for an additional fee.

The estate is exclusively yours during your stay and is not shared with other guests.



The Neighborhood:

Alamanda Estate is tucked away just outside Port Douglas, surrounded by tranquil rainforest and rolling canefields. It’s a peaceful, private escape, yet conveniently located—with the nearest supermarket just a 15-minute walk or a quick 3-minute drive away. During your stay, you’ll have the entire property to yourself—perfect for unwinding, exploring, and soaking up the beauty of the tropics at your own pace.



Getting Around:

For your convenience, it’s highly recommended to have a vehicle during your stay at Alamanda Estate. The property is located about 8km from the town center of Port Douglas, which is approximately an 8-minute drive. While the cottage offers a peaceful, secluded atmosphere, having a car makes it easy to explore the nearby beaches, restaurants, shops, and attractions. If you prefer not to drive, taxi and shuttle services are available in the area, but a vehicle provides the most flexibility and ease during your stay.

Alamanda Estate is set in a peaceful hinterland location, offering privacy and space just a short drive from Port Douglas. We ask that guests respect the quiet nature of the property and surrounding environment during their stay.

The estate offers beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces, making it ideal for entertaining and special gatherings. Intimate events or small weddings may be considered by prior arrangement, with additional fees applicable. All events must be coordinated through Uptown Hire or Port Douglas Weddings & Events to ensure a seamless experience.

Bookings of up to 4 guests include use of the main residence (cottage). Access to additional bedrooms and the separate private retreat can be arranged for larger groups or guests requiring extra space, with additional fees applicable. Please confirm guest numbers prior to arrival so the property can be prepared accordingly.

This is a self-contained holiday home and is not serviced daily. Starter amenities are provided to get your stay underway, with additional supplies available locally.

Due to the tropical climate, insects and wildlife may be present despite regular pest control.

This is a non-smoking property.

Guests are personally welcomed on arrival with a brief meet and greet to ensure a smooth check-in and to run through the property, layout and house guidelines.

After this, we leave you to enjoy the estate in privacy, while remaining available if needed. As a locally based team, we’re always happy to assist with recommendations or any questions during your stay.

It’s a place where barefoot is normal, rain is tropical, and you can go from reef to rainforest in one afternoon.
