The property is located on a hillside, which allows for beautiful views, while supermarkets and shopping areas are on flat ground — these two features cannot be combined. There is a bus stop right outside with direct access to supermarkets, and most guests choose public transport or driving for shopping. I’m very disappointed by your unfair and inaccurate review. First of all, my property is equipped with multiple heaters and an air conditioning unit, which were all functioning during your stay. When I personally visited the house, the indoor temperature was over 25°C, and it was warm and comfortable. Your claim that the house stayed at 15–16°C after 10 hours of heating is simply untrue. Yes, the windows are single-glazed, as clearly described in the listing. In Wellington, most houses built before the 2000s—like this one from the 1970s—have single glazing, unless fully renovated. It is completely normal and expected for this type of property. Guests who actually read the listing understand this. You paid only $150 per night for five people in a 3-bedroom house, which is already one of the lowest prices in the area. If you expect a five-star hotel experience, perhaps a budget home is not the right choice. My listing is honest, clear, and transparent. I never promise luxury — I offer comfort, cleanliness, and warm hospitality at a great value. Before and after your stay, other guests rated my place 5 stars, appreciating the space and care I provide. Your 2-star review stands out not because the property failed, but because it appears motivated by unreasonable expectations or personal bias. I welcome all guests who value fairness, honesty, and respect. But I won’t stay silent in the face of false statements.

I'm very sorry to receive such a low rating from this guest. During their stay, several items in the property were seriously damaged, including [ e.g.,furniture, appliances, walls, etc.]. The total cost of the damage far exceeded the security deposit, but due to platform policies, I was only able to withhold the deposit to cover part of the loss. The guest was unhappy about this and retaliated by leaving a 2-star review. As a host, I always strive to provide a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for every guest and am open to resolving issues through reasonable communication. However, I also feel responsible to clarify the facts for future guests when facing malicious behavior. Thank you to the many respectful guests who have supported and understood my efforts.
