Architecturally designed around a central swimming pool, the house features spacious living areas and private verandas that invite you to unwind and reconnect.

Inside, the retreat is thoughtfully styled for relaxed group living, with a full main kitchen, an additional kitchenette, and multiple indoor-outdoor spaces ideal for entertaining. Whether you're enjoying a barbecue on the veranda, streaming your favourite shows over the complimentary Wi-Fi, or lounging by the pool with a drink in hand, every detail is designed to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Guests are welcome to roam the paddock with the dam and the fruit and garden area in front of the house—perfect for a quiet morning stroll or a game of fetch with your pup. While access to other farm paddocks is restricted, the open spaces around the guest house provide plenty of room to relax and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. As a pet-friendly property, Kuro Escape welcomes your furry companions to join the adventure.

The base rate for this property covers a maximum of 4 guests with access to 2 bedrooms. This will give you access to the following bedrooms.
Bedroom 1: 1 x King Bed and ensuite

The property can also be booked as a 5 bedroom property for 6+ guests up to a maximum of 10 guests. This will give you access to the following bedrooms.

The house is divided by a pool and is beautifully furnished, overlooking farmland that stretches down to the Hunter River.

There are two houses on the property. As you drive down the driveway, the first house you see belongs to the owner.

All within easy reach of the Hunter Valley’s vineyards, cellar doors, wineries, restaurants, golf courses, and Newcastle’s stunning beaches, this property is perfectly suited for extended families, lifestyle living, tourism, and rural pursuits.

The property is a working cattle farm, and guests do not have access to the paddocks.

Important note for party planners:
Unfortunately, this is not the property for you. This home is located in a quiet neighborhood, so a hens/bucks/schoolies type celebration is not appropriate. We can easily determine if the house rule of “No parties or events” is disrespected, and this means additional charges and/or eviction will apply, which everyone wants to avoid. If you are unsure, please inquire before booking.

How We Price: The booking price is based on a minimum number of guests. Any guests above this number are chargeable on a per person/per night rate. The system will automatically calculate the correct rate when you enter the required number of guests. Reductions in guest numbers are non-refundable.

Arrival Details: Access to the property is made easy for you. We will send you an access code just before 2 pm on your arrival day via SMS and you will use this code for the duration of your stay.

Pets: Pets are allowed at this property - Outside only

Linen: 1 set of full bed linens and 1 bath towel per person are supplied. Guests may wish to bring extra towels depending on the length of their stay. Pool/Lake/Beach towels are BYO.

No Party Policy: All reservations operate under a Strict No-Party & Non-Excessive Noise Policy as prescribed in the NSW Short-Term Letting Legislation and Local Council Laws. This property is in a Residential Area. Failure to comply can put the security bond into jeopardy and may lead to police-assisted eviction and/or extra charges being levied. We hate to have to note this but the reality is that so far this year we have had to evict 3 groups for overstacking/bad/anti-social behavior.

Extra Guests / Visitors: The number of people nominated on your booking is the maximum number of people that are allowed to be on the property at any one time, including visitors. Visitors may be requested and if approved must be approved in writing with Weekenda staff. Simply put, if Mum and Dad want to come over for a BBQ then we are likely to approve. If 10 extra people want to stop by we are unlikely to approve, which could put your booking at risk. We will always try to be reasonable with reasonable people within property constraints and House Rules.

Cameras and Noise Monitoring: There are # external security cameras installed at this location presently but the owner reserves the right at any time to install additional external cameras at their discretion. Cameras are positioned to view X Y Z areas for external security monitoring only. All cameras are installed in line with local regulations. A noise monitoring device is installed - fines apply to guests found to have disconnected, removed or damaged the noise device. These devices are used to monitor and maintain ours and guests responsibilities under the NSW STR Code of Conduct.

Guest Registration / ID Check: Weekenda requires every guest to complete and sign an electronic guest registration prior to arrival which will ask for a photo ID i.e. a copy of your driver's Licence or Passport. The primary booker will also be required to complete a list with the guest's names and actual mobile numbers. In the event we are unable to reach the primary booker, it is very important we can get a hold of other guests. These documents will be deleted after your departure. Access Codes are only released to Registered and Verified Guests.

Insurance: As always, but ever so more due to recent times, we strongly encourage any holidaymakers to obtain a very inexpensive 3rd Party Domestic Travel Insurance Policy to cover you for all manners of matters which may restrict travel. This is particularly helpful for things like Hunter Valley Concert cancellations, Covid or Medical and Other Emergencies for which we don't provide refunds, and anything which falls under our standard Terms & Conditions irrespective of the reason. We suggest reviewing policies with 'Cover-More' or 'Travel Insurance Direct' or 'Insureandgo'

We enjoyed our stay for my mums 80th B ’day, however a few disappointing things. •No coffee pods – pleaser don’t offer a coffee machine and then don’t offer pods. Advise to bring some if you don’t supply but for the price you should be offered pods, especially as there is also nowhere close to grab a coffee in the morning and offering instant coffee sachets is cheap and nasty and cheapens your home.•The lawn was so full of bindi’s the kids could not play on it. Please use Bindi killer ASAP•The kitchen offerings were awful. Draws don’t open and close properly and I own an air B&B and at minimum I offer glad wrap/ baking paper etc to assist when cooking there.•The top draw of the dishwasher doesn’t work or is in dire need of clean, we tried 3 loads and had to reload to bottom draw to get anything clean•The overall cleanliness of the property is not up to scratch. •Further explanation of the how the bedrooms are separated would be beneficial. Although this worked for us as we had two families it was odd having to walk out the front door to get to a bedroom each time. •It would have been nice to get a check in after the big storm rolled in Fridy night and we lost power for 2 hours right on dinner time. Half our dinner wasn’t cooked. (not anyone’s fault, but a check in text would have been appreciated to see if we were ok or needed anything). We cleaned the pool of debris from the storm. On the plus side it suited our weekend away and we had a great time
