Acerca de este alojamiento
Lowman Retreat
Welcome to our home, nestled in a private valley overlooking the Watagans in idyllic Laguna. Whether you're seeking a tranquil retreat, attending a wedding, need a family holiday, or a romantic getaway, Lowman Retreat is the perfect destination.
Take a short drive to explore the historic nearby towns, visit local wineries and vineyards, or indulge in delicious dining experiences. The region is rich in cultural heritage and natural wonders, offering a myriad of activities for every taste.
The space
The house is set on 15 hectares which is mostly bushland, tucked away in a private valley. Boasting a perfect blend of modern comforts and rustic charm, step inside and be greeted by the spacious interiors. The open-plan living area with comfy lounges and wood fireplace creates a warm and inviting atmosphere.
We are on grid for electricity and have onsite gas (cooking), tank water and septic tank. The house is a few km's beyond the new Optus mobile tower so we do not have mobile phone signal. There is reliable WiFi at the property though if you want/need to connect.
We are frequently visited by kangaroos, wallabies, wombats in the paddock and there are many varieties of birds including black cockatoo and a couple of wedgetail eagles that live near the wetland.
Other things to note
Access is via sealed and unsealed roads but is easily accessed in a 2 or 4 wheel drive car. It can be a little bumpy in some sections but the unsealed road has recently been regraded.
RESPECT AND RECOGNITION
Wollombi was a significant ceremonial meeting place for coastal Aboriginal peoples.
We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land upon which Lowman Retreat now sits and this beautiful region we traverse; the Awabakal people to the East, the Wannaruah people to the Northwest and the Darkinjung people to the South.
We pay respect to the Elders past and present of the Darkinjung, Awabakal and Wannaruah nations and extend that respect to other Indigenous people within the Wollombi Valley community.
