Settlers Cottage @ Undercliff Bodega

Casa histórica construida en 1847 tiene todo el encanto de un refugio en el campo. Roam todo el viñedo, olivar y la viña o simplemente disfrutar de la flora y la fauna de Australia. En invierno, relajarse en el cálido ambiente acogedor de una chimenea. Totalmente independiente cocina completa, cama de matrimonio en una habitación, una cama doble y una cama en otra y otro dormitorio con una cama individual. Cesta de desayuno y todas las sábanas incluidas en la tarifa.

Una degustación de vinos de bienvenida a nuestra llegada en nuestra bodega.

Undercliff Winery & Gallery 400 metros - abierto todos los días para ver y degustación de vino. Todos los vinos hechos en el lugar de nuestro propio viñedo. Aceite de oliva y productos asociados disponibles para la compra, así como conservas caseras y productos de lavanda.

Peter and Jane were amazing hosts, making our stay memorable and peaceful. Peter took us on an amazing tour of the property and shared so much knowledge about the natural wild life. Their cellar door is incredible and they weere both so generous with their time and knowledge. Thank you for an amazing stay and we hope to see you both and Cooper again soon.

Quaint and very comfortable. Beds were so comfy and clean. Only 1.5 km to village so we walked there and back. Kind host who offered wine on arrival and departure(even lent suit trousers for my husband who’d left his at home!)Breaky great.Lovely outlook. 7 minutes to Wedding venue. Telstra service available on front step.Look forward to future stay.

Staying in an almost 200 year old cottage was extremely relaxing. Cozy and comfortable with wonderfully calming sounds of the countryside. Our hosts Jane, Peter and Cooper were very accommodating. Cooper greeted each of us when we arrived, and sat with me while a read my book on the verandah. We sat and ate breakfast each morning with tiny birds fluttering around in the cottage garden just outside the kitchen windows. We visited the local area and ended our first day with a visit to the property’s cellar door for a wine tasting hosted by Peter. We all purchased some wine to enjoy that evening. I feel privileged to have been allowed to share such a beautiful property with friends. Thank you Peter, Jane and Cooper.

Beautiful rustic cottage in beautiful area

Jane and Peter were very welcoming and generous (thanks for the delicious bottle of wine). The cottage is old and charming with a lovely garden and lots of citrus trees. We were permitted to pick the fruit and so had lovely fresh orange juice for breakfast along with the provided bacon, eggs and toast.The days we chose were probably the coldest days we have had so far this winter and so the cottage was cold. There was an open fire and firewood and a number of heaters as well as electric blankets which were very welcome! Unfortunately, the area had a power outage for a few hours on our first day, so we retreated to the pub,We would love to stay again but maybe not in mid-winter.

Rustic authenticity

Lovely few days away. Quietness that you can feel. Comfortable, breakfast provisions, beautiful outlook from the verandah. Open fire so comforting. Our border collie loved the space and the company of resident border Cooper

Incredible Getaway

We had such a wonderful time. Such a relaxing stay. No internet reception but that added to the experience as it was so nice to relax, sip tea and play cards. The hosts are so lovely! We really enjoyed our stay and plan to return.

Lovely cottage and beautiful location

We loved our stay at the Settler’s cottage. It was like stepping back in time! The setting is beautiful and so quiet and relaxing. Peter and Jane were lovely hosts and so welcoming and it was great to hear about the history of the place. We also enjoyed our visits from Cooper the dog too, so gorgeous! It was a lovely to have the breakfast supplies provided too. We would definitely recommend the wine too! Definitely love to return - thanks for letting us stay!

Settlers cottage under cliff

The host was welcoming and pleasant Complimentary breakfast provisions were great The property is very old and rustic, I wouldn’t recommend if you are not up to this type of accommodation. Bed, bed linen pillows and blankets very worn and old, this was very unsatisfactory. Grime kitchen. The place needs a good clean and upgrade to all bedding and soft furnishings. I like and appreciate the old and rustic type accommodation, but visitors need to feel comfortable if you want them to return. Great wine and clever sparkling

A quiet retreat

A quiet retreat with a beautiful bushland outlook. The cottage was quaint and charming. It was very close to the wedding venue we were attending and close to the historic town of Wollombi There was no TV or Internet so bring a book. Unfortunately we couldn’t get the fire to light which would have added to the old world atmosphere

Relax and rejuvenate

Country living so close to Sydney. The cottage was authentic and brought to life the real experiences. The winery was an added bonus. The hosts were very friendly and thoughtful. In many sense, it is an authentic experience; it's not a modern cottage with a made-up look. It was perfect for us. There was egg, bacon, and milk in the fridge. I also loved Wollombi such rustic charm, and the residents slowed down to wave or salute. I loved it.

The Settlers Cottage

My wife and I enjoyed a relaxing weekend in the cottage. Cooper helped wear our 2 y/o Lab out. Location to town was only a 15 minute walk. Looking forward to trying it out in the Winter with a cosy fire.

Cute cottage

Friendly hosts with what you need for your stay, nice outlook from verandah, host's dog likes to welcome you and will visit at breakfast for bacon leftovers, close to the historic village with a great pub with verandah, beer garden, bistro and no TV's or Screens!
