Nestled on two acres of rolling hills and flower-filled gardens, this beautifully renovated home invites you to slow down, breathe deeply and reconnect with nature.

The retreat features three spacious bedrooms — one king and two queen — plus a single bed option in the second bedroom, offering flexibility for couples, families or small groups. Each space is light-filled and thoughtfully designed to make the most of the surrounding landscape.

The master suite opens to a private balcony overlooking the valley — the perfect spot to greet the sunrise or unwind with a glass of wine at dusk. Inside, soft sheers filter the morning light while blackout blinds promise long, restful sleep-ins. The ensuite bathroom, complete with a deep soaking bath with a view, invites moments of quiet indulgence.

The open-plan kitchen, dining and living areas form the heart of the home, each framing spectacular hinterland views that shift with the light throughout the day. Natural textures, soft tones and elegant design create a calming backdrop for shared meals, meaningful conversations, or simply gazing toward the distant hills.

Step through sliding doors onto wraparound decks, where you can enjoy an alfresco meal, a morning coffee or simply immerse yourself in the sounds of birdsong and the breeze through the trees. All of our bed linens and towels are washed using fragrance-free, all-natural laundry powder and line-dried in the Byron sunshine. You’ll drift off on crisp, sun-kissed sheets that carry the clean scent of fresh air — not synthetic fragrance.

Our cleaning practices are completely chemical-free, using natural, low-tox products that are safe for sensitive guests and gentle on the environment.

In the bathrooms, you’ll find organic, plant-based toiletries — free from parabens, sulphates and artificial scents — chosen with care for guests who value wellness, sustainability and allergy-friendly living.

Guest access
Guests enjoy exclusive access to the entire home and surrounding grounds, including the sparkling pool, wraparound decks, flower-filled courtyard and open fields and paddocks — all yours to relax and explore in complete privacy.

For safety reasons, we kindly ask that guests do not enter the upper garden area above the unfenced retaining wall, as the drop is around 1.5 metres. The rest of the property is fully accessible and designed for your enjoyment, offering plenty of open space to unwind and take in the views.

There is ample on-site parking for up to four cars, providing easy access to the home and its peaceful surroundings.
Other things to note
At Fig Tree Hill Retreat, guests are invited to slow down and reconnect with nature. From the song of kookaburras at sunrise to wallabies grazing at dusk, and butterflies dancing through the flower-filled gardens, every moment here celebrates the serenity of the Byron Hinterland.

Our home runs on fully filtered rainwater and a biodynamic sewage system, allowing us to live lightly on the land. We ask that guests be mindful of water use and only flush toilet paper. Eco-friendly cleaning and body products are provided to help protect this beautiful environment.

You may encounter native wildlife around the property — please keep doors and windows closed when unattended, as curious birds can sometimes fly inside. Be aware that we share the outdoors with snakes and spiders, so take normal care when walking through the gardens or paddock areas.

There is parking for up to four vehicles on the property; however, the garage is not available for guest use. When driving to and from the property, please observe local speed limits, as our rural community values safety and peaceful living.

While neighbouring homes are well-spaced, sound carries across the valley, so please be considerate of our neighbours by avoiding loud music or gatherings, and note that no outdoor music is permitted after 10 pm.

For safety reasons, due to unfenced retaining walls, please do not enter the garden area to the left of the driveway. The lower paddock and main garden areas offer plenty of space to relax and explore safely.
