Two bedrooms comfortably set up with quality linen. Bright, relaxed living space. Functional kitchen for easy self-catering. A genuine neighbourhood base in Auckland`s most vibrant suburb, with the freedom to come and go as you please.

Ponsonby Road is arguably Auckland`s most celebrated street — and this townhouse is tucked just off it on one of the suburb`s most desirable quiet residential streets, close enough to walk to everything in minutes, far enough removed to feel properly peaceful when you close the door behind you. That combination — genuine access to one of Auckland`s best dining and lifestyle precincts, with a calm, residential base to return to — is what makes this property work so well for the guests who stay here.

The townhouse is warm and well laid out across two levels. The ground floor living and dining area is relaxed and comfortable, with soft natural light and a welcoming atmosphere that makes settling in feel immediately easy. The kitchen is compact but well equipped for everyday self-catering — everything you need for a quick breakfast, an easy dinner, or a coffee before heading out to explore the neighbourhood. There is no pretence here about the kitchen being a chef`s paradise, but it handles what you actually need from a short stay without any difficulty.

Both bedrooms are set up with quality linen and comfortable beds, and the bathroom is clean, modern, and well-maintained throughout. Off-street parking is included for one vehicle — which in Ponsonby, where street parking is at a premium and restrictions are common, is a genuinely valuable inclusion that gives you the flexibility to use a car without the daily hunt for a space.

Ponsonby has been Auckland`s most culturally rich and consistently interesting suburb for decades, and it shows no signs of slowing down. Perched on a ridge above the CBD with views over both harbours, its long main strip is flanked on either side by quiet streets of white wooden villas and leafy trees — and along that strip sits one of the best concentrations of restaurants, cafés, bars, and boutiques anywhere in the country.

Ponsonby Central — the sprawling food hall a short walk from the property — is the heartbeat of the neighbourhood: a labyrinth of stalls and eateries that ranges from morning coffee to late-night cocktails, with everything from wood-fired meats to fresh sushi operating out of what looks, from the street, like an unassuming façade. Prego is the long-running Italian anchor of the strip, reliably excellent and always busy. Sidart brings Ponsonby`s most acclaimed fine dining. Bambina is the café of choice for a morning that deserves more than a quick takeaway. Duck Island is the ice cream shop that nobody walks past without stopping.

By evening, Ponsonby shifts register effortlessly — wine bars come into their own, cocktail rooms fill up, and the pavement tables fill with exactly the kind of easy, unhurried energy that Auckland does particularly well on a warm night. Western Park`s grassy slopes are a five-minute walk for a picnic or a morning run. The CBD is a seven to ten minute drive or a comfortable downhill walk. Karangahape Road`s creative dining and bar scene is equally close. And for guests who want to explore further afield, the motorway network is quickly accessible from here — Waiheke Island via the ferry terminal is around 20 minutes by car.

Ponsonby Road is walkable, bikeable, and well-served by public transport. The Lower Link bus connects Ponsonby directly to the CBD and Newmarket frequently throughout the day. Uber and taxis are readily available throughout the suburb at all hours. Off-street parking is included with the property for guests who need a car — a genuine convenience in a suburb where street parking is heavily managed. Auckland Airport is approximately 30 to 40 minutes by car.

A complimentary starter pack is provided on arrival — a small selection of tea, coffee, milk, and bathroom essentials to get you settled comfortably from the moment you arrive. Supermarkets and convenience stores are nearby for any additional supplies you need during your stay.

A private airport transfer can be arranged at additional cost — please get in touch at least 48 hours before your arrival and we will organise it for you.

To ensure a smooth arrival, we ask all guests to complete a short online pre-check-in form and upload a valid government-issued photo ID before arriving — this takes just a couple of minutes.

This is a non-smoking, no-vaping property throughout — including balconies and all common areas. No parties or events. Quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Check-in is from 3:00 PM and checkout is by 10:00 AM.

Please note the property is not fully fenced — please take care with young children around the outdoor area.

This property has upstairs neighbours — we ask all guests to be mindful of noise levels, particularly with music, television, and conversation in the evenings. The washer and dryer are not to be used between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM.

Off-street parking is provided for one vehicle. Please note that Auckland Council street parking restrictions apply to the surrounding streets — please observe any signage if parking a second vehicle on the street.

Check in available after 3pm through lock box key collection. Lock boxes are located a short distance away, full details will be sent prior to arrival. We advise collecting the keys on your way to the apartment, if coming to the city via taxi or UBER, ask the taxi to wait a second while you collect the key. The walk to the apartment from the lock box is not far, but no one wants to walk in the city with suitcases!
