Peaceful farmstay 9 Km from beautiful Mollymook Beach - it's effortless luxury
Gorgeous, peaceful 1 bedroom elegantly accessible farmstay with beautiful views to Pigeon House Mountain and 9 km from stunning Narrawallee and Mollymook beaches. The best of coastal rural, Figtree Cottage of Milton is nestled under a gracious Moreton Bay fig tree on a heritage lis132-acre cattle farm less than 3 hours from Sydney and Canberra.
Little Forest is a stunning part of the South Coast with ample opportunity to do a lot - or nothing. Beautiful coastal and bush walks, ocean and lake activities, frequent cultural events, a great music scene, local wineries, breweries and great dining.
After a day's bushwalking or beach activities, relax in our stunning claw-foot outdoor bath (no indoor bath) and enjoy a sunset dinner sitting by the smokeless firepit. Or watch the wildlife, cows and calves grazing across the farm. And there are views from every window in the cottage.
Figtree Cottage of Milton is built from hempcrete (not the THC kind!) because of its wonderful environmental, health, thermal and acoustic properties. No air-conditioning needed here! It's a breathable material and aesthetically beautiful as well. We're excited to offer what we believe is the first accessible hemp fibre property in the Milton/Mollymook area. The original dairy timbers have been used throughout the cottage, and local artwork adorns the walls.
This 75 square metre cottage is designed for and loved by discerning travellers with or without accessibility needs. Accessible features include:
• wide, level access to all rooms
• a split king adjustable bed that allows each person to elevate the head and/or foot of the bed for comfortable reading or easing pressure spots
• a skylight allows beautiful daylight in and has a remote-controlled blind for those liking dark nights.
• hobless shower
• accessible toilet and basin
• grab rails
• full wheelchair access under the induction cooktop and kitchen sink
• a small ramp at the main entrance for stepless entry and
• stepless on-site, undercover parking (refundable deposit required for automatic gate opener)
For non-partner carers, contact us for additional accommodation options.
A fold-down workstation is also available with Starlink WiFi for those that need to be connected. To make the most of the outdoors, a built-in BBQ and outdoor dining area in the native garden extend living to the outdoors. An outdoor bath (no hoist as yet) and smokeless firepit complete the romance of the cottage.
Staying a while? Laundry access can be arranged 30m away.
An induction cooktop, full size fridge, convection microwave and expresso machine allow for easy self-catering.
